Words truly cannot express what this track (and many of Jastrian’s works) made me feel, but I’ll still try and give the song justice even though I know it’s impossible. I think there’s something special about the way Jastrian compose his tracks, that makes them especially emotional. For example, that deep and powerful bass synth in the background of the lead melodies… it just works so perfectly, like that synth was alive, like it is the embodiment of powerful emotions in itself. There’s also a certain sensitivity when composing and arranging vocal chops, that can certainly be felt here, and that makes them have a powerful effect on the soul that I truly can’t describe with words – it has to be felt. Then there’s those amazing melodies, I would maybe call them “starry”, closest adjective I can find right now, but I think they’re something else. To me, at least. Something that can’t be felt elsewhere, a unique mood and trait. Not to mention so many of those distinct sounds and synths that Jastrian is using and that give the track such a unique sound and feeling. All in all, from all those things I tried to explain and much more there still is to the track, Celestial Endeavours happened to be an incredibly powerful emotional experience to me, something so powerful that I consider it “something else” or “divine”. And I can only hope that the “magic” could resonate with more of you. If not, I guess I’ll remain alone… But in any case, I hope you’ll like the track. It is for me an honor to be able to share it here on Horse Music Herald and to you all, and a blessing to be able to feel those otherworldly emotions. Thank you for reading, and thank you Jastrian for making that magic happen.

[P@D] Totalspark & Sonitus – Embrace | Chillout / Synthwave
I’ve noticed a trend in Totalspark’s recent tracks to play around with interesting chord patterns, and the progression in this does something that I always love in music. Sparky explains it himself in the video description, but it essentially resolves to a major chord at times when it’s in a minor scale. And I haven’t even got started on the arps, the lead, and the vocoded vocals, there’s just so many great layers of sound in this track that all mesh together brilliantly!
Vahts – Fancy Mathmatics | Synthwave / Trap
Help someone let Francis use of them electronic music thingamajigs…
… and the result is actually alright, surprisingly catchy too. Check it out for something a bit different and experimental from our otherwise rock-orientated friend.
Hearth’s Warming Music Compilation #2 (Yes, Another One!)

So…there was still quite a lot a Heath’s Warming-themed music left after our compilation post from a week ago, so to save a bit of time (I’ll level with you, we’re quite far behind everything at the moment), have a few of them compiled into a single post! Catch the whole thing after the break…
Hearth’s Warming Music Compilation! + HMC Vol. 2 and CHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHRISTMAS

It’s Christmas Hearth’s Warming, and so people are making festive music. And not just individual songs, entire albums too! Check it all out after the break.
Modern Bard – Vintage Era | Electronic
Well well well, this is definitely something outside of the norm! I’ve enjoyed some of Modern Bard’s other electronic works, including his Awakening submission, and it’s great to see him make something so unique. This track is similar to the sounds of electronic pioneers from the 70s and 80s, specifically Jean-Michel Jarre who served as major inspiration for the soundscape of it. Definitely worth taking a listen to.
Sights Unseen – Faultless (feat. Cadie) | Alternate Electronic
Heartfelt works made in tribute to our beloved characters is one of the things I love to see the most, and this song dedicated to Rainbow Dash’s character depth certainly is a wonderful experience, with its unique progressive instrumental of nearly 10 minutes, its magnificent duet in collaboration with the amazing Cadie who also provides quality backing vocals, and its dark yet lovely and meaningful concept around faking a “tough act”, inspired by Rainbow Dash (some text quotes at the end of the video!)
Sights Unseen & Vylet Pony – Monarch | Synthpop
What happens when two incredibly good and unique musicians team up and go all-out with a concept uniting their talents? Magic! Not only this new collaboration of many wonders features a duet of much impact, with both Vylet‘s heartfelt and powerful singing and Sights’ deep and gorgeous vocals (and backing vocals), but it also impresses with a masterful instrumental of many facets, sometimes hard-hitting, sometimes soft, magical all the time. One more!
Sights Unseen – Lullaby | Synthpop
NB: This was originally posted on Equestria Daily on 9 November 2016.
Starting out with some haunting vocal choir-like harmonies, an ominous bassline soon rolls in, signifying that this is certainly not an especially happy song. Whilst it feels quite dark, I think the intended tone of this track is one of accepting that it’s okay to say goodbye. This is translated well with a transition later in the track towards more uplifting and yet sorrowful chords. Definitely a cool track from Sights, and well worth checking out if you want something bittersweet.
Sights Unseen – The Spark (feat. Cadie) | Alternate Electronic
A new collab and duet from the ever-so-successful duo of Sights Unseen and Cadie, this Twilight-centered track gives all the Synth-Rock vibes while providing an unique progression and storytelling, filled with gorgeous vocal parts from both singers. The distant/faded aspect of the vocals definitely reflects well Twilight’s internal struggle and suppressed call as depicted by the lyrics.
