Taking influence from early, violent fanfics, She’s All Mine is a great piece of hard rock fan music. Achieving a very classic rock sound via the late 70s and early 80s, Ponysphere provides the instrumentation that drives the track in combination with Secret Metal’s vocals that bring it home. Add in a solid percussive beat and some old-school guitar solos and you’ve got well executed, rare, hard rock gem!
Just another cool remix of the cool song Flawless, this time Mantlegen kills the show with this amazing Trap remix, full of cool synths and cool drumming work. It is short, but I will promise that you will love it! Good job Mantlegen, keep up the good work!
Inkwel’s just getting better and better at making fun and interesting little future bass tracks that incorporate chiptune elements. Part 5 of Modern Bard’s vintage electronica EP takes a turn towards 70s synthpop with a little hint of breakbeat style drum programming in there. Super mellow pads and bass sounds give this an ethereal, chill vibe too. There’s still more to come apparently, hopefully with a download link soon!
Written for the upcoming indie, platforming-adventure video game “Starved for Light”, 4everfreebrony give us this bright, flowing track as a musical descriptor to Lilyana, the brave and loving older sister to young Iris. Lilyana’s Theme utilizes brilliant piano chords with flutes to set the lighter tone of the protecting protagonist while strings come in with a moving, adventurous feel to set the scene for action. Expertly put together and thematically excellent, 4everfreebrony gives us plenty of reason to be excited for the development of this project!
The landscape begins rushing by seemingly never-ending and full of vistas each more epic than the last. In the Magical Land takes you on a grand journey through the fantastical land of Equestria by gently inviting your gaze toward a simple landscape, gradually guiding you into increasingly epic sights and experiences, and finally allowing you to settle down in a peaceful field to take it all in. This piece by AndNoOneDriving is a wonderful musical portrait that may even enhance one’s personal image of just how beautiful Equestria could be. As a piece of fine piano composition, Rarity Advocate gives us this great piece written in seven parts – one for each of the Mane 6 plus Starlight. Each movement is unique in style and reflects well with its attributed pony, while the sonata as a whole fits well together through its use of dissonant tones. Varying tempos and levels of brightness keep the composition interesting and help make 7 Vignettes a truly original track.
Everyone’s favorite commander is in a bad mood and you’ll feel it in this dark, ambient banger. Drixale mixes a great, thumping bass along with ambient and futuristic synths to create a fun, yet edgy house track. Unique in style, and fun all around to listen to, make sure to check out A Little Mad!
One of the best things about music is the infinite creative possibilities that exist for songwriters, and Zephysonas really demonstrates ingenuity with this track. In order to give this orchestral piece elements of dubstep fusion, Zephy deconstructed the wubs from basic synths in lieu of using mainstream methods. Another beautifully executed technique on display is the use of builds through use of full orchestral instruments instead of standard electronic means, fulfilling a dubstep template almost solely with orchestral components. Lunar Knights has a fulfilling, epic sound throughout, and stands as testament to great songwriting means and execution!
To celebrate 1k subs, TCB has made a relaxing Breaks track with incredible sampling work, amazing drum work and amazing bass work. A track full of light and enters your heart and make it warmer. The vocal chops and the Celestia speech sampling were spot on, the “field recording” feeling at the end with the birdsong and the pouring rain sounds like a lot of fun and it fits the mood where we are right now (maybe in Europe). And for the end, that delicious piano part, choosing a great skill behind TCB’s mind. Good job TCB, hope your work inspires new musicians to make good music like yours!
