New Reverian brings us all some smooth, relaxing DnB. Beginning with a very uplifting synth solo and adding in some delicious fast but relaxingly soft drums, the song gets off to a great start. Throughout, the bright, vibrant synths take us along with Rainbow Dash through the cloud-speckled sky. Each drum beat is like another flap of her wings; each synth the call of the horizon, beckoning her onward. We finish with a purely melodic, emotional coda, like Dashie returning home to her friends.

SDreamExplorerS & Velvet R. Wings – Selena | Melodic Death Metal
SDreamExplorerS’ sister collaborated once again with her brother for making an amazing song that is featured in the album Erasing The Enigma.
The mix between Velvet’s clean vocals and SDreamExplorerS’ screams is the most beautiful thing that you will ever hear in this album. As I said on the album review, this song reminds me of the great acts of the Swedish/Scandinavian Melodic Death Metal scene, such as In Flames, Children of Bodom, Amon Amarth, At the Gates and Arch Enemy. Even that is not related with Death Metal at all, Velvet’s vocals reminder me Nightwish and Epica songs, with that “classical” vibe that is very awesome and kvlt in the metal scene!

Ataraxia – Viridescent VIP (feat. Ink Sparks) | Electronic
Atraxia brings us a pretty interesting song. In this VIP version of this song, Atraxia delivers a great sound design that’ll have you chillin’ out while you stare right up at the skies with the wonderful help of the vocalist, Ink Sparks. With glitch vocals and impressive backing chorus pads, it’ll have you thinking about soaring through the skies. Great work from both the composer and the vocalist!
[P@D] Progressive Element – Lost Woods / Bank Pain – Breaking of Dawn | Drum & Bass
The two things I have been looking for, first and foremost in new music lately – before the mixdown, sound design and production – is an element of unpredictability, and that special vibe. You know that one vibe, where you can tell the artist just went absolutely ham and gave no hecks, darns, or tarnations? The kind of vibe where you can just tell they were following their own groove, instead of copy pasting. This track has both in droves. Honestly, I would’ve been happy with it even if the pre-drop was the drop. Those beefed up kicks and that metallic snare are candy to my ears, and then – T H E N he hits you with that fire drop. Hoo boy I need a minute.
Speaking of said vibe and being fresh out of hecks, bank pain also hit us with a bag of audio bricks. (In the good way, don’t worry man). I said it before and I’ll say it again, I love it when I listen to something and have to ask myself, “yo what genre even is this?”. This is that, it’s got reeses that’ll make granddaddy ‘106 shed a tear, a beautiful bridge/outro that’ll make human granddaddy shed a tear, and just that scary-but-pretty vibe that I always seem to float towards like a moth to a lamp. Celestia take the wheel, this stuff is golden. Don’t sleep on bank or Prog, guys.
Jalmaan – Showdown VIP | Progressive House
In “Showdown VIP”, Jalmaan brings us a truly beautiful progressive house track. The bold synths, the uplifting melodies, the wonderfully atmospheric pads, and the evolving drums all compliment each other to form a stunning product. The production quality is off the charts, and the sounds are amazingly rich and full. Listening to this was one of the most relaxing things I’d done all day, along with playing Engineer. If you like electronic music, give it a listen. You won’t regret it!
NeverLastStanding – Last Known | Orchestral
What a pleasant surprise this is! I’ve been playing a lot of Dwarf Fortress and D&D lately, and this is perfect music for both. NeverLastStanding’s beautiful orchestral sound design is spot-on. It’s got an uplifting, adventurous spirit with just enough hints of danger to keep you guessing about what’s to come. This fantastic composition would be right at home in a travelling montage in a fantasy epic like LotR. Or, for that matter, a season finale of pony!
[P@D] Radiarc – Kyrie / 174UDSI – For The Kingdom | Orchestral
PRAISE THE SUN. It was only a matter of time before the god of orchestral music did a theme for Daybreaker, and it’s amazing that Radiarc managed to finish it in time for Guardians. I love the electronic elements that are added into this, like the resse bass that comes in towards the end.
174UDSI has also mixed electronic and orchestral in this piece, but coming from another angle. Instead, this one seems to be more based on a dubstep composition, but using orchestral instruments instead. Nonetheless, it still works brilliantly, with the electronic kick and snare giving some real punch to the mix.
PrinceWhateverer – Resilience (feat. Sable Symphony & MantaTsubasa) | Metalcore

That’s right fillies and gentlecolts, it’s Starlight vs Twilight!
Sweet Celestia, this is amazing! PrinceWhateverer brings us a rock song overloaded with the absolute highest level of hype. Themed around Starlight and Twilight’s climactic battle in the Season 5 finale, this is an instant classic. I truly cannot remember the last time a song got me this excited and hyped. The “pony” part of “pony music” is here in force as well. This is truly a 2012 song with 2017 production.
Why are you still reading this? The song is up there, it’s awesome, and it’s about best pony. Go go go!
Kizuru – Keep On Running (covering BroniKoni) | J-Rock
I’M STILL TRYING TO GET OVER HOW ADORABLE THIS IS. Back in 2014, a Russian Brony band called BroniKoni released a song called Keep On Running. Kizuru here apparently thought it sounded similar to another J-Rock song they knew, and so made this cover in a similar style! And with Lenich on the production behind this track, it sounds so crisp and clean too. I don’t think I’m gonna get tired of this for a while.
Otarine – Daybreaker | Orchestral House
This orchestral house composition blends gentle piano and absolutely beautiful orchestral with funky electronic sounds. The synths halfway through only enhance the already stunning strings. The whole song is full of emotion, and truly feels like Celestia becoming Daybreaker.
