Filly in the Box – Poison | Neurostep

Super exciting to see a new release from Filly in the Box! The artist plunges further into some fantastic dark and experimental sound design featuring some crawling basslines, really textural FX, and warped out vocals. If you’re a fan of creative productions, this is certainly an artist you want to be keeping up with.

Mathematicus & Art Fonseca – Rarity † Fluttershy | Indie

Something with a little bit more of an artistic indie flourish, we see another track from the recently returned Art Fonseca and the ever-creative Mathematicus. The song is divided into 2 parts: ‘Toils’ and ‘You & I’, and features on Mathie’s new album, Zeitumkehrer, a collection of songs made by herself and friends over the past three years.

Redd – Little Dreams (covering Vylet Pony) | Grunge

While everyone else was out remixing Little Dreams for SPW Deluxe (guilty as charged), Redd decided to go in a different direction and cover the song instead. Redd has a way with completely switching up songs when he covers them (like his cover of The Smile Song), and gives a totally new feel each time he does so!

Jyc Row – Fire of Daydream (feat. Skyline) | Orchestral

The bagpipes are back out again for another Jyc Row song, this time a collaboration with Skyline, who did the guitar parts towards the end of this track. The addition of that guitar really takes this orchestral piece to another level and gives it a good symphonic rock vibe too!

4EverfreeBrony – Future (What Are The Odds) [Spectra Remix] | Progressive House

Having been away from home for some time, 4EverfreeBrony is finally returning home, and to celebrate his return our very own Spectra has whisked up this catchy and polished house-y remix of one of his many classic tracks. It even has a bit of a dubstep breakdown for some added variety later on. A worthy welcome back package for sure.

Sprocket – Praise the Sun | Hip-Hop

Part of the ongoing “Princess Variations” project, a series of songs about Celestia and Luna, based around the same basic chords and melodies but performed in different styles and genres. This song seems to have a bit of everything; a hip-hop style beat, subtle rock keys and guitars, electronic vocoded vocals, and orchestral parts which come and go with the progression of the song. It’s such a diverse soundscape, I wasn’t expecting to hear something quite like this from Sprocket but he’s done an amazing job here!

Jyc Row – Twilight, the Winged Paladin | Orchestral

Jyc Row’s Celtic instrumental influences meet electronic drums in this interesting piece. Composed whilst, um, under influence, it’s certainly a tad more experimental than some of his other pieces, and that’s always nice to see.

Vylet Pony – Kingdom Finality | Electro

Another select piece from the music journey that is Super Pony World, this song shares sonic influence from both electro and indie dance / synthpop type tracks. If you haven’t already checked out Super Pony World, the amount of work put into it shows through the entire thing!
