First debuted at Bronycon 2017, Vylet Pony with help of Syzy, makes a pretty good edit of an old mashup done by Silva Hound, where Silva mixed Levels by Avicii with the amazing Becoming Popular sung by Rarity! The edit is pretty nice and the wubs are really well performed, the vocal preparation and sampling is also on point. I really liked what Vylet and Syzy did here, a hell of track for end this amazing weekend and for the rest of this amazing week!
Year: 2017
Hay Tea – Musicbox (Tripon Remix) | Dark Drum & Bass
Tripon’s remix of Hay Tea’s haunting piece is an exemplary piece of dark D&B. A creeping music box’s melody stands out amongst the fast, sinister drums and bass. The gorgeous album art perfectly conveys the mood of unknown danger.
Strigidae – Silhouette (Covering 4EverfreeBrony feat. BlackGryph0n) | Pop / Electronic
Strigidae is back to grace us with his unique style of vocals, and he decided to cover the mighty song Silhouette by 4EverfreeBrony originally featuring the ever-amazing vocals of BlackGryph0n! Making this cover in a different genre and giving it a unique mood born from his mastery of the magic of music, Strigidae delivers once again with style and emotion, and gorgeous vocals complement a surprising instrumental with beautiful piano and electronic parts!
Budzy – Risen (Chang31ing Edit) | Bass House
Chang31ling has been impressing me recently, and this experimental edit of Budzy’s Risen, featured on Horse Music Central albums, shows how creative Chang31ling can be! The samples are really well manipulated and the drop is also pretty awesome! I really love this edit and I hope that Budzy will love it too! Because this is wild!!
[P@D] PrinceWhateverer – Reparation (feat. Sable Symphony) | Melodic Metalcore / Trancecore
PrinceWhateverer on Ponies At Dawn’s Anthology?! What a nice surprise! And with help from the talented Sable Symphony, both deliver a smashing and incredible track!
Trancecore and Metalcore elements mixed in a potion of clean and harsh vocals with chaotic and schizophrenic guitar riffs and electronics chords make this song one of the best from Anthology! It reminds me of chords from Constellations, another amazing track done by Whateverer. Reparation is an amazing headbanger for your weekend. Keep it up the awesome work, both of you, AJ and Sable!
Jyc Row – Tempest Shadow / Captain Celaeno | Orchestral
Hot off the tail of the release of My Little Pony: The Movie, Jyc Row gives us a fantastic, theme for one of film’s villains, Tempest Shadow. Commanding strings and percussion paint a vivid painting of sound, perfectly capturing the dangerous mare that is Tempest. The track would fit well in an action scene in the Movie!
Ahoy! Jyc Row ‘ere be giving us a swashbuckling jig based on our favorite Captain’, Captain Celaeno from My Little Pony: The Movie. Rolling organs and flutes usher thoughts of the sea (or clouds in this Captain’s case) and adventure! Jyc Row perfectly capture’s the character’s confidence and awesome attitude.
SeyN AQ – In The Air | Progressive House
Here’s some cheerful, upbeat, bouncy house from SeyN! In honor of hitting 200 subs, he’s put together this lovely progressive gem. It’s super danceable, and the vocal echoes fit perfectly in with the rest of the song. This one’s sure to get your hooves moving and your head bouncing.
[P@D] Radiarc – Don’t Look At Me | Chillout
Radiarc’s contribution to Ponies at Dawn Anthology is a haunting, melodic composition. It’s about Fluttershy’s realization that “I’m the monster”, and it conveys her regret perfect. A complex morass of sounds engulf the listener with their majestic coldness in this superb work.
Notion – A New Pair of Wings (feat. Vylet Pony) (Metapony Remix) | Electro House
I fell in love with Metapony’s absolutely fantastic remix of Notion’s already awesome track in the first five seconds. It starts off packing energy, joy, and vibrance. But then the lyrics kick in about Starlight (who’s still best pony) and her new ascension to alicornhood. And that’s when the song switches from “awesome” to “absolutely fantastic”!
[P@D] John Kenza – Wonderbolt | Future Trap
John Kenza is an amazing producer in our fandom and his 2 features in Anthology plus 2 entrances in the oldies goldies part! I think that we’re talking about a great producer!
Wonderbolt, nice vocal sampling and chops, nice drumming work, nice synth and bass. The drops are the most exciting and emotional part, I love them soo much! John Kenza delivered a bunch of happy feelings, this one is for blast at your school party with your friends!
