TCB and loophoof teamed up for a very lovely joint tribute to Yona, and the events of S09E07 She’s All Yak! This complete version of Part of Your Day is expressing so much love and passion with the gorgeous vocal chops and even the sampling of dialog lines from the episode, showing much support toward Yona and Sandbar, and re-enacting the wonderful moral of the episode! Also seen on Cider Party!

Nyancat380 – The Crunch | Glitch-Hop
Nyancat380’s musical creations are always so tasty, and along Rainbow Dash coolness, it’s time to jam to epic guitars, mad wubs, and chiptune greatness! A hard-hitting, blissful, and wonky tune all at the same time! Dash approves and you can hear it in the track!
4everfreebrony – Someone Like Me (covering Aviators) | Soft Rock
4everfreebrony returns, this time with a brilliant cover of Aviators‘ classic track Someone Like Me! 4efb’s take on the original feels just as emotional, though with a more guitar-driven backing; it sounds like a band playing live in a studio. It’s hard to go wrong with his covers, and this one’s a good example as to why.
[P@D] VooDoo – Vibez | Glitch-Hop
Introduce a new and lively Glitch-Hop track by Voodoo into your rotation! Its two extremely complex, exuberant drops suit it for the floor. This glitchy Ponies At Dawn release has sound design so clean, you could eat your dinner off of it. And don’t forget about the dubiously altered vocal lines from the show. The song concludes with an elegant piano segment, a fittingly lush end to such an enlivening song.
[P@D] Zizkil – I Miss When You Loved Me | Complextro
Zizkil’s productions are always full of some super cool sound design and here that’s no different, with his new tune from Eternal. There’s a really interesting combination between crunchy sound design and some more soft and delicate moments in the track driven by piano, as well as some very interesting synthesised vocals taken from the iconic show song ‘Luna’s Future’.
Thrasher – Blackened Eyes (feat. Night Crow) | Black Metal
Thrasher is back with a bang, showcasing some intense black/doom style metal featuring the help of Night Crow, a regular collaborating partner for him. Intense scream/growl vocals combine with heavy chugging guitars and impactful percussion, along with a clever throwback to the melody of Rainbow Factory as well.
Plum Creek Rhythm Section -The Countess (Remix) | Drum & Bass
Plum Creek usually specialises in rock music, but in the past plenty of those rock tunes have included some electronic synth influence too. Here he’s gone all the way in on the electronic angle with a chilled out drum & bass remix of his Coloratura-themed track The Countess. With a clean mix, solid vibe and great use of the original vocals, it’s nice to see such a direction from him.
[P@D] Silva Hound – Shadows | Electro
Silva Hound has been making a whole bunch of different electronic tunes lately, and this one from Eternal takes a darker turn combining the story of the pony of shadows with some killer electro sounds alongside some of his classic funky chord stabs. The first drop has plenty of groove to it, whilst the second is all about that aggressive sound design.
[P@D] Quadrivia & MEQA – Paroxysm | Complextro
Been quite a while since I heard something like this from the fandom. Is this a Ponies at Dawn release or is this a Monstercat release? Honestly, I couldn’t really tell if you just played this track without telling me that it’s pony themed. In fact, I would be like, “No way, you are kidding me.”
Seriously, fandom music has grown so much over the years. Maybe I’m just out of the loop for too long but this outstanding Complextro track from Quadrivia and MEQA really blew my mind. It’s got all the chops (pun intended) of electro house and glitch hop, which means it’s super dance-able and sounds not just what you would expect but more: a piece of electrifying ear candy. Give it a listen, it’s sure to get your heart pumping in no time.
Also while we’re at it, you should totally check out Ponies at Dawn’s new album, Eternal! If this is the standard we’re going off on, it is on track to be one of the best albums ever put out by the label.
[P@D] Tripon – Spells of Ruin (feat. J. Free) | Roller Drum & Bass
Tripon never fails to impress when they release a new track and as part of Ponies At Dawn’s latest album Eternal, this one is bound to be a treat! Right from the start the hollow minimalist percussion and deep subs catch your attention. The rolling bassline and atmospheric soundscapes are expertly crafted and J. Free‘s inclusion adds an exciting twist to the track with half time flow and a dirty vibe. If you haven’t checked out the rest of the album by now, I highly encourage you to do so, as there are plenty of gems within and this one is a well polished one!
