[ASOS] BassPon3 – Soarin’ Through Cloudsdale | Trance

BassPon3’s music always has a nostalgic charm to it. Track 29 from A State of Sugar: Brownie is his contribution Soarin’ Through Cloudsdale, which features his signature electronic style pulled straight from the 2000s. The song contains an etherial-sounding pad at the beginning with some faux wind instrument synths which contain the main melody before slowly pushing into a massive bouncy drop where the song truly takes flight. The sky and flying are common themes in his music lately, and it’s no wonder, since this one will definitely make you feel like you’re up in the clouds!

Checkerëd – EASY | PsyCircut

Checkerëd returns with another psychedelic original. EASY is, despite the name, an erratic track with lots of crazy synth and drum sounds in a genre coined by Checkerëd himself: PsyCircuit! His unique flair definitely sticks out on this track, and the craziness doesn’t stop!

[ASOS] AnNy Tr3e – Friends (feat. Evdog) | Dubstep / Progressive House

With the show long gone, it’s more important than ever that the fandom sticks together. This track, in my view, perfectly embodies this idea. With its emotion-filled lyrics, and it’s epic electronic music (with many bass drops), this song is filled with energy and is able to be listened to over and over again!

[ASOS] Hoofy – CAKE! | Bass House

Hoofy’s sound design just gets better and better. Track 25 from A State Of Sugar: Brownie is CAKE!, a powerful bass house tune with some sweet, tasty saws. Once that drop hits, the chance of you staying still is incredibly low. This one starts off bouncy and doesn’t let up until the very end. A few dubstep elements are sprinkled through this track, particularly in one of the drops where the tempo slows down ever so to bring in the heaviness. One of the harder flavours on the album!

Daniel Ingram – Legend You Were Meant To Be (Rod Steven Remix) | Eurobeat

Eurobeat still lives, and no, it is just not one well known musician that can do it. Rod Steven comes at us with a rush of dance magic. Taking the heavily uplifting sound of Mr. Ingram’s song, “Legend You Were Meant To Be” and supercharges the sound of fast and fun eurobeat remix. The song we all know from EQG about finding your true self and inspire to be better. Rod just injects the mood a bit more, throwing in rad and fast melodies to a already positive song. You will be dancing back into a great mood. It’s a really fun and great effort of Rod’s work. As always this Qilin asks you to judge for yourself. Also catch Rod making his main stage debut at Whinny City ponycon 2020!

Ponysphere & Unca-Secse – We Are Bad | Heavy Metal

Did this track come straight from the 80s? Ponysphere and Secret Metal (credited here as Unca-Secse) team up to create a heavy metal beast heavily inspired by metal from the 80s. The production, guitar and even the vocals (which sound like the late Ronnie James Dio at some points) are crafted straight out of that era of music, while the lyrics depict the rogue CMCs wreaking havoc across Equestria. It’s amazing what two minds and a lot of beer can come up with!

[ASOS] Feryl DeMarco – Alterworlds | IDM

Been a while since we’ve heard from Feryl DeMarco, hasn’t it? She’s back with her first track of the year as well as track 16 from the freshly released ASOS: Brownie, Alterworlds! True to its name, the song feels like the soundtrack to an alternate dimension, or a dimension hopping trip. Feryl’s signature electronic style absolutely shines through on this track, particularly the percussion and erratic synth sounds. Just another amazing addition to her discography as well as something to remember from the album!

Steryotype – ’04 EP | Lo-fi / Chillout

If I had to use one adjective to describe this album, I’d pick “Vibin’.” This EP is 100% Lo-Fi music, and each song is just a little different. There’s some jazz elements in tracks like 1998, and some hip hop and rap music elements used in songs like Projectz and HearYouInTheBackground. Throughout the album, there are bits of dialog mixed in with the music as well that add to the whole feel of the album as well as the songs individually. Overall, a great album if you love chilling out to some Lo-Fi hip hop!

LuckyDragon – To The Sky | Synthwave

For those of you not in the PMV know, LuckyDragon once went by the name TheLightLeavesThee and is best known for making PMVs, but he also makes music, such as The Power of a Queen under the name Hero Pony! His newest song, To The Sky, is an emotional synthwave piece that revolves around Scootaloo and Rainbow Dash. The lyrics have an innocent quality to them, with Scootaloo looking up to her mentor and wanting to fly with her once more, for old time’s sake. The backing music matches this emotional scenario as well as Lucky’s processed and soft voice. Gotta hand it to this guy for making something so beautiful!

VocalScorePony – Pinkie Sense! | Acoustic

VocalScorePony wears his name quite fittingly, as his singing skills are admirable. Not only is the upfront singing amazing, but the vocal harmonies are awesome as well. The instrumental does not trail behind and the ukulele adds an additional dose of fun to the lyrics, perfect for a Pinkie song. The bassline is neat too and lots of little details have been added, such as a little bit of piano when it is mentioned that one should lookout for falling pianos. Also congratulations to him for his song Thank You For The Fun! that was recently awarded best pony song of 2019 by Top Pony Music!
