[ASOS] eksoka – Oneiromancy | House

Coming off A State of Sugar‘s latest album, Ice Cream, eksoka‘s song Oneiromancy once again proves that eksoka is here to provide us with beautiful tunes. It’s a beautiful deep track with some wonderful progression and the atmosphere is built really well. It might be calmer than some of eksoka’s previous tracks, but it definitely has the same charm as their previous tracks. It’s definitely one of my favorites from the album, and is one you should most certainly check out.

Zephysonas – Welcome to Equestria | Orchestral

The perfect song to get into the holiday cheer, Welcome to Equestria mixes traditional holiday instrumentation with several show melodies from season one. Zephysonas, an orchestral great for sometime now, ties it all together with his fantastic composition skills and a variety of instrumentation from low brass, to violins, woodwinds and more! This song was written for the new Seapony Orchestra Hearth’s Warming album – a great compilation for the season!

Vylet Pony – No Matter What (ft. Namii) [2018] | Pop

Vylet’s continuing his annual tradition of remaking his 2012(!) track No Matter What, this time making it in the cute indie/electronic pop style that he’s really developed into his own sound in recent years. As in a few previous editions, it also includes Namii’s vocals, and I’m sure we can expect many more versions of these to come!

[ASOS] Heartsong – Riding The Rails (Ice Cream Express) | Soundtrack

As part of the recently released album from A State of Sugar: Ice Cream, Heartsong gives us another one of their lovely story-esque orchestrations. As you may have guessed from the title, this song builds its world around the idea of the Friendship Express acting as the sole deliverer of the frozen desert as it goes about its busy schedule, starting and ending on a soothing music box melody as it arrives at its destinations. If I’m being truly honest here, the song will do a better job at conveying its world and story than I ever could through words. So what are you waiting for? Catch the train.

Arabesque Sympony – Jolly Ol Saint Nick (Covering Daniel Ingram) | Big Band

Arabesque Sympony shows off his clever musical skills in this track covering Spike’s feature from the MLP Holiday Album. The jazzy, swingin’ piece is recomposed brilliantly, allowing the bright brass tones to shine through, but not so much that it distracts from Sympony’s wonderful vocals. He even subtly adds Spike’s original vocals in at the end as a great accent to the track!

Osoch – One More Day (Covering Daniel Ingram) | Metal

To celebrate the holiday season, Osoch has graced us with a high-charged, metal version of One More Day from the “Best Gift Ever” special. He orchestrates the instrumental around the vocals from the show and does so very well! The guitars are crisp and pack a punch while the drums drive the beat very well (and impress with powerful double kicks at times!). Of course it wouldn’t be holiday music without some violins which Osoch uses as the perfect accent to bring everything together!

Acarcion & MC-Arch – Humble Dreams (prod. Nevermourn) | Hip-Hop

The burgeoning Straight from the Heart has been pumping out consistent quality material lately, and this track is no exception! Assisted by an incredibly smooth boom bap instrumental from Nevermourn, Acarcion and MC-Arch bring some heartfelt bars to the table while floating the whole way through and never missing a beat!

Remember Falling – Until Then | Synth-Rock

Remember Falling (f.k.a. Sights Unseen) has released her first album under her new alias, Monolith, along with a video for its single! With simultaneously dark and uplifting lyrics performed passionately and an instrumental that changes courses multiple times, this tune defies convention and genre. Don’t skip this one if you’re into genre-bending stuff!

Daniel Ingram – In Our Town (Evgeniy Doctor Remix) | Hightrance

Trance extraordinaire Evgeniy Doctor continues to explore different flavors of the genre as he continues to create. This time, he brings us an extremely upbeat and infectious remix of the unsettling introduction to everyone’s favorite reformed villain! With some clear psytrance elements leaking in, the soundscape on display here is both very catchy and highly intricate (with an awesome bridge section to boot)!

Koron Korak – Pony Killer (Turbo Killer Parody) | Synthwave

Koron never ceases amazing us! After the very creative and artistic Vicious Circle until inner Emptiness, it’s time for yet another unique display of creativity and talent alike, with a ponified cover of Carpenter Brut’s Turbo Killer, full of personal meanings! You are pony killer… Pinkamena’s words from her mouth, amazingly animated in the video, are setting the atmosphere for such an intense and delightfully dark cover that showcases Koron’s skill at violin, expertly covering the original melodies through the instrument always making for much emotion! The whole video includes live action footage as well and it’s all such a stunning work of art, and tribute to Pinkamena Diane Pie aka Pinkie!
