With at least 2 new compilation albums released last month (I personally fell like I can’t keep track sometimes of how many there are!), there’s plenty of choice for this month’s voting. So go choose your faves from the new A State Of Sugar and Lycan Dese Beats albums, or take a look at Günz’s July playlist for a comprehensive selection!

HAARDTEK – SPEED OF LIGHT | Epic Trance
Haardtek’s back! Man, that’s a name I haven’t seen in a long time. Speed of Light is absolutely unbelievable. The melody is beautiful, the drums are soothing and fast, and the overall sound design is stellar. This song channels Dash’s graceful, agile energy as she soars through the skies, and brings us along with her. Go listen to it right now!
TPressleyJ – Polar Opposition | Hybrid Trap
Leading with dialogue from the best episode so far, this song gets off to a snappy start. Trap isn’t really my thing, but this song got me bouncing anyway because it’s just so catchy! The drum selection is brilliant, the bass screechy and smooth, and the synths deliciously melodic saws. All around excellent!
Redstone Brony – Horizon | Progressive House
Another less-know artist – Redstone Brony – that released a very emotional and uplifting house track. The production and progression used on the song was perfect! The synth work was pretty good, I really loved the synth used in the drops. An uplifting and emotional track! It made me happy, so it should make you happy! Enjoy it!
[P@D] ExplodingPonyToast – When The Heart There Lies | Future Bass
EPT isn’t a stranger to Ponies At Dawn. Being around in P@D since Hold Your Rainbow and started to direct the albums releases since Crystal Skies, EPT is a P@D grandpa! So a track done by him in the most recent P@D album: Guardians is much awaited!
When The Heart There Lies aka an amazing song about Fluttershy has everything for be an awesome Future Bass track. The Fluttershy vocals that are soo cute complete the awesome instrumental. The drop production is very well performed as well the synths.
Don’t forget to download or buy Guardians in a bandcamp near you!
Frozen Night – Fallen Star | Atmospheric Black Metal
Whoa! This is really some big atmospheric feelings! Frozen Night release a new track, and this time is some shoegaze/black metal experiment! Reminders me of Summoning and Negură Bunget songs! The guitar riffs and the orchestral elements are well performed as well the mixing and mastering. Such an ethereal and amazing track! You should listen to it!
Modern Bard – Stars Delight | Space Ambient
Close your eyes.
Listen to this song, and then, tell me what you feel.
You are going to experiment the reality of space and the sound of universe.
French composer Modern Bard, did an awesome and chilling space ambient track that possibly describes what is like to living in the Moon alone. I got chills down my spine just for listening this track, because it’s so peaceful, it’s so calm, it’s so universal and space-feeling track.
Modern Bard did an awesome job, just listen to the track and then tell us what you think. This track is good when you are really stressful or angry and you can get more happy and chill. Enjoy the track.
You can now open your eyes.
Now feel the stars around you and the universe.
The ship is almost going to back to Earth, prepare yourself.
Hope you had a good trip.
Narokath – Their Blackest Day | Thrash Metal
From the upcoming album Dead Wings of Grace that is about an alternate universe Spike, Narokath releases this 12 minutes long track that has two parts. Laura that is the most chill part with great guitar riffs and with a lot of progression, reminding me of …And Justice For All by Metallica, with some main melody from the Silent Hill 2 soundtrack, it gives to the track the atmospheric feeling. Then comes the second part aka Annihilate that is a ponification of The Blackest Day by Annihilator. It starts with a lot of noise, a thing that I like in Thrash Metal, then the aggressive riffs of the guitar and the drums are played very well. And the rough vocals are the element that gives the headbanging and aggressive look to the track. All joined by an incredible mixing and mastering.
Brony Thrash Metal with Progressive elements that parodies Silent Hill 2 and Annihilator in the same track is a treasure. Listen to this song, the transition from Laura to Annihilate is very awesome.
TheH215 – A Thousand Nights Ahead | Acoustic Rock / Symphonic Rock
After a long hiatus, TheH215 comeback with a track that was been saved for 3 years! And yes! The wait was worthy! The acoustic guitar riffs mixed with the symphonic elements give to the track a great feeling! It was really awesome that TheH215 release new material! Welcome back!
Seventh Element – The 303 Has Been Doubled | Acid House
Ah, the TB-303! Such a lovely bass synthesizer. You kids might like Massive or Harmor or Sylenth, and while all those have their respective wonderful qualities, there’s something special about the 303. And Luna’s vocals fit just perfectly with the blips, beeps, and bloops. Truly a delightful song, especially for anyone feeling nostalgic for older synths.
