One Track Mind has definitely some of the most creative musical visions out there, and now to our great delight an impressive Electronicore track has been crafted with much inventivity! Bringing much Metal vibes with harsh and tasty riffs, while still having lots of Electronic elements in its arrangement, it delivers Flutterbat’s take on the Hush Now Lullaby song… with heavy headbangable greatness!
R3CTIFIER – Break the Silence (VooDoo Remix) | Dubstep
VooDoo blows us all away, all up until first place of R3CTIFIER‘s remix competition, with a very inventive remix! Going all-out with a stunning progression, wicked wubs of sick sound design, and even a tasty electric guitar, VooDoo aces the contest and delivers an incredible masterpiece of a remix to savor again and again.
Blackened Blue – Dark Secret | Alternative Metal
Blackened Blue has been around for a while, but this is their first original release in nearly a year, and it’s great to see musicians getting back into the swing of things by releasing new music. This new song based on the story of Luna and her Tantabus has a great metalcore sort of vibe with its punchy, fast-paced drums and fantastic riffs!
Direct Current – Proprioception | Ambient
Direct Current’s music is always wonderful to listen to. In Proprioception, he takes a crack at ambient, and he does a superb job. The multitudinous layers of sound are serene and peaceful, together forming a soundscape at once as vast as the ocean, and as small and precious as a snowglobe.
R3CTIFIER – Break the Silence (StrachAttack Remix) | Dubstep
After Cynifree’s Chill House remix, now it’s time for a hard-hitting banger of a remix from maestro StrachAttack! Pumping out sick sound design as well as dank samples, the remix brings quality drops while presenting the vocal chops and the Flutter-y mood from R3ctifier‘s original in a brand new way.
sci – Fluttershy in Kanadaland (Technickel Pony Remix) | Hip-Hop
Technickel Music/Pony/Ted’s always been great at making remixes with that classic hip-hop feel. I admittedly don’t know the orignal version of this, but Ted sure follows in sci’s sample-based footsteps with his production style…but in a slightly less chaotic fashion.
Dynamite Grizzly – Trickery (Hyper Mystic Mix) | Hardcore Techno
After the original and the Faith Mix, now comes a Trixie-themed high-speed mix of Trickery! Pushing the original melodies in a brand new direction, the great and powerful mix chants Trixie’s almighty-ness along samples from the show, and delivers Dynamite Grizzly’s Hardcore Techno magic with stunning style and uplifting speed!
eksoka – Fragile | Progressive Trance
Another gem from the just-released Origins EP, Fragile is Eksoka‘s take at the concept of fragility in Fluttershy as the cover art implies, or ponyness in general. Sampling Twilight’s amazing vocals from I’ve Got to Find a Way, it delivers an otherworldly atmosphere and musical bliss in the purest form, and always following the musician’s amazing vision for unique, clean, mellow masterpieces.
eksoka – Lachryphagy (Acoustic Mix) | Progressive Rock / Acoustic
An incredible new version of the original Lachryphagy, this Acoustic Mix focuses on expressing the mixed feelings you have when you realize the changeling’s right to simply feed themselves and follow their nature. Originally seen as villains, you start accepting them and feeling for them, thus offering them comfort and understanding, a warm lapse of solace in all the antagonism. And this track reflects that blissful time and those heart-warming feelings to perfection. Soft drums, bittersweet acoustic guitars, pure-hearted synths, and a switch to a divine part including an electric guitar solo, all convey so much emotion and match the concept in incredible beauty, proving once again eksoka’s incredible talent and vision like none other.
UndreamedPanic – Rainbow Blast | Drumstep
I’ve long been fond of drumstep. My first exposure to it was a 175bpm edit of Artattack’s Loyalty remix, and since then I’ve been looking for more good pony drumstep. UndreamedPanic’s Rainbow Blast is a stellar example of the genre, with some classic Rainbow Dash samples. Themed as videogame battle music, it’s easy to imagine playing as Dash and fighting off a bunch of changelings or Ahuizotl cultists!
