SCR4TCHK4T’s latest release is a cute and bouncy future bass track! Laced with vocal chops throughout, the track blends together a variety of different electronic sounds. The intro is smooth and mellow with a lovely splash of ePiano, before adding some bright synths and the classic D&B beat implemented with minimalist sounds that slide very nicely into the mix! The main drop is preceded by a really cool build up with the synths ascending in a way that makes it sound de-tuned, building up a lot of tension before delivering us. Afterwards, there’s some energetic chip tune stabs and drum features. Nicely done!
Ethan Toavs – Starcatcher, The Magnificent | Orchestral
Ethan Toavs presents us with another wonderful orchestral composition, this one based on the G3 pony Starcatcher! The piece begins with a majestic fanfare before springing into a lively solo played by an instrument most of us have never heard before, the Bulgarian kaval! The middle section is my favorite however—every instrument drops out suddenly to reveal a celesta playing over a dreamy, barely audible choral ‘ahhhh’. It’s absolutely gorgeous before picking back up into a triumphant brass finale!
EveryDayDashie – A Celtic Pony Encounter | Epic Celtic Orchestral
EveryDayDashie has been on fire as of late, weekly releasing pony tunes in a wide variety of genres ranging from electronic to rock to orchestral. This week’s uplifting pony tune, “A Celtic Pony Encounter,” is inspired by Sunny Starscout’s journeys through Equestria. The piece features an upbeat Celtic melody supported by drums, fiddle, bamboo flute and dulcimer. A gentle interlude in the middle of the piece hovers briefly, reflecting the inspired beauty of the Celtic landscape, but soon relaunches into a crescendo of highland adventure!
Thunder Dash – This Is How A Unicorn Dreams (Izzy’s Lullaby) | Orchestral/Ambient
Borrowing from Izzy Moonbow’s “Fit Right In” from MLP’s “A New Generation,” Thunder Dash’s “This Is How a Unicorn Dreams” combines the gentle, soothing vibes of ambient music with orchestral sounds suggestive of ethereal pipe organs, softly punctuated by airy bells. The piece feels cathedral-like and dignified, like a wedding procession of hopeful dreams. With gentle piano carrying the lullaby’s main melody, an array of humming choirs, crystalline chimes and other dulcet tones support the melody to create a dreamy, mystical, magical feel worthy of getting lost in.
SpinScissor & MC-Arch – The Moon is My Guide | Drum & Bass
SpinScissor’s often ambient and ethereal sensibilities are on full display with this latest release, centered around Luna’s progression as a character throughout the show! Deep synth chords and sounds of splashing water in its early moments provide a relaxing atmosphere that you can sink right into, but you won’t be waiting very long before the tempo picks up and sweeps you away with an engaging drum beat. SpinScissor’s soundscape and flowy vocals combined with MC-Arch‘s punchy raps create an experience that is comforting and introspective at times while at others, a head-bopping anthem!
SOUND BANDIT – FUN TO PRETEND | Plunderphonics
SOUND BANDIT is back with another G3 inspired song accompanied by a pony music video! This dreamy track begins with the soft and lovely sound of an upright piano before jumping in to a gorgeous section with synths that sparkle and a warm bass. The melody is entirely comprised of vocal chops, heavily featuring the voices of several G3 ponies like Storybelle, Star Flight, and Heart Bright. There’s so much creative sampling using yawns, buzzing insects, gasps, and laughs to create a sound so absolutely adorable that it just might convince you to fall in love with G3. Fantastic work!

The fine horses at P@D recently announced a surprise new charity album! As with their previous charity albums, this is a compilation of previously released music by some of the collective’s regular musicians – this time also featuring songs from past A State of Sugar, Equinity and VibePoniez albums – and is raising money in aid of Save The Children Australia.
The release party is taking place on PonyvilleFM and the Pony Town event server, starting at 2pm EST with some DJ sets from Thunder_Kick and Nicolas Dominique, with the album premiere starting at 4pm, and Bolt closing things off with DJ set afterwards.

It’s finally here! The cream of the crop; the abosolutest of bangers; the bestest of horses; the music community’s favourite brony songs from the whole of 2022! Over 280 songs were in the running this year, which just goes to show how many amazing songs from 2022 became people’s favourites. I can’t say much else without giving anything away, so go check out the final results for yourself!
Thrack – Life Among the Stars | Acoustic
Thrack’s latest work is a lovely tune about ponies venturing into outer space of all places! While their journey might be cold, the warmth of Thrack’s acoustic guitar and gorgeous three part harmony is surely enough to live by. And who can turn down a couple of jolly mandolin solos? In addition to all the feel-good lyrics of friendship and camaraderie, there’s also some more mischievous undertones. Did they really leave Equestria in a “wreck”? I pray to Celestia they didn’t, but who knows what will happen next if they succeed in finding life among the stars.
