(Listen to the original Here!)
The power you find even in the darkness. Why, the emotion behind this track is very personal to Koron Korak. (In all seriousness, give the guy some love and encouragement or a hug!) This cover of AaRD’s score is just breathtakingly pretty. The melodies are very lush and plentiful. Taking the original and beefing it up with his skill with the Violin and Cello. They are some major Russian/German influences within this cover that gives the track a rich favor and pulls you into the emotion; as Dionte George told me, “It kinda also sounds like opera seria (serious opera) in a way. Please support Koron, my friends, and send him some kind words of support. As always, this qilin asks you to judge for yourself.

Crusader! – A Summer in the Stars (covering Forest Rain) | Pop Punk
(You can listen to the classic tune here!)
Crusader! Every time I hear new music from you, you sound better and better. If you listen to this cover of the classic Forest Rain song, you’ll notice that some machismo has been injected into this track. The song is about two friends or two lovers enjoying hot summer nights exploring the world of Equestria. It might also remind some of us of the many fun summer nights at pony con or a brony meetup enjoying those times that we have together. The fun factor is boosted by the catchy and hard punk rock goodness on those guitars and drums. Boy oh boy, does Crusader send some serious Green Day vibes with the vocal performance of this track. The cute little melodies of the classic are intact with his own flair to them. Tell me you can’t listen to this track and think about having pizza at a parlor with a group of bronies, taking a break from the con and just enjoying the moment! The fun factor of Crusader’s energy sends the vibes right into your ears! As always, this Qilin asks you to judge for yourself.
Dandelion – Art Of The Dress (feat. Aleksey) (Covering Daniel Ingram) | Orchestral
So, everypony, today we’ve got something a bit different. Dandelion got together with a friend (Aleksey) who isn’t actually a brony and got him to play the show’s “Art of the Dress” on a big great grand piano and the result sounds fantastic. Afterwards Dandelion only re-recorded the last part to make it a bit more fortissimo. The entire song is completely without the lyrics and it actually works pretty well! Dandelion also added a subtle bit of orchestra that gives the whole song this beautiful background, and that orchestration also closes the song, making for a great outro.

Crusader! – Giggles & Gumdrops (Covering 4EverfreeBrony) | Pop Rock
Seven years ago, 4EverfreeBrony released a signature song about a certain bubbly, quirkily unpredictable party pony with the ability to always lift everyone’s spirits. Crusader! has breathed new life into this fun piece with his cover of this vibrant song. Winning first place in 4EverfreeBrony’s recent cover competition, Crusader!’s cover stays true to the upbeat, lighthearted nature of the original song while adding his own unique elements. Some heavier electric guitar in the background is enhanced with upbeat plucky chords on the ukulele, perfectly suited to Pinkie’s ebullient personality. Relaxed vocals coupled with a ukulele and electric guitar create an energetic party atmosphere, as if Pinkie herself were in the room! Even better, as if this track isn’t bright or joyful enough, a lively electric piano solo adds even more enthusiasm to this well-deserving winner of 4Everfreebrony’s competition!
Replacer – A Sorceress Girl (Covering SoGreatandPowerful) | Indie Pop
SoGreatandPowerful is an icon in this fandom. There’s no question about it. As such it can be pretty challenging to cover one of their songs and still elicit similar emotions. replacer has delivered once again with their cover of SGaP’s ‘Sorceress Girl’. Breathy calm vocals over that wonderfully soothing atmosphere. This is the pop I live for and the lines “a kind voice, a gentle face a friend who vanished without a trace” are delivered so, so well and just sells the vibe. Take a listen, trust me, this is a treat!
Somasis – Dashy ~ Hearth’s Warming Eve (Covering SoGreatandPowerful) | Alternate Electronic / Indie Pop
Covering a cherished song by SoGreatandPowerful, Somasis showed us the extent of their talent with this tribute made with love! 6 minutes of bliss, the cover is quite lovely as the mystical instrumental takes us to new beautiful roads, and the new vocals resonate in our hearts!
SlightlyAmiss – I Write Songs Not Fanfics (I Write Sins Not Tragedies Parody) | Pop Punk
A friend sending you fun lyrics, sometimes it’s all you need to have that spark of inspiration leading to great things. And in this case a tasteful parody of Panic At The Disco’s song, featuring Sakairi’s lyrics, SlightlyAmiss’ rocking vocals, and a blissful rock instrumental that will make you feel good to be a brony!
Somewhat explicit lyrics warning!
Koron Korak – The Magic Flows Inside of You (Covering Yiruma & Daniel Ingram feat. Lena Hall) | Orchestral
Kind of a mashup cover, this new release from the maestro is paying tribute to two beautiful songs and their hearts are present here and can be felt too. Not only the original vocals from The Magic Inside, ever so magical, are making for much emotion, but the union of Rara’s piano and Koron’s violin is doing wonders and making for much emotion! As a bonus, you will literally be able to witness that performance in the video!!
Brownie – Out On My Own (Covering Daniel Ingram) | Metal
Hey friend! Do you like CMC songs, but you get bummed out by their traditional orchestral arrangements? Well, never fear! Brownie has taken Apple Bloom’s sad soliloquy and given it a most triumphant metal twist! Brownie stays faithful to the original lyrics, giving them both a great melodic rock delivery and providing some satisfying screams as backing vocals to give the track a crunchy metal edge. The song opens with a full-on guitar attack backed by some great percussion, and after sprinkling in a little softer guitar melody, the video kicks in. The vocals sync up really well with Apple Bloom’s mouth, which definitely adds to the fun. As an added bonus, there is some fantastic guitar work and rock percussion that continues on after the original video ends, and there is a hilarious bonus message at the very end that almost made me fall out of my chair laughing. Overall, a most excellent effort by one of the stalwarts of horse rock!
Arabesque Sympony – One More Day (Covering Daniel Ingram) | Synth Rock
Ok, everypony, today we have another song by Arabesque Sympony! This time he brings us a fantastic Rock cover of “One More Day” from the Christmas special “The Best Gift Ever”. The lyrics are kept pretty much the same as the original and are sung by Arabesque himself, so let’s get to the bottom of this piece! The song opens with the original melody remade by Arabesque as he sings along with his guitar accompanied by traditional folk strings. As he sings the instrumental builds up, and for a brief passage the instrumental takes center stage while Arabesque’s voice is more in the background, which makes for an amazing change. There is a brief instrumental section as the song builds up to the chorus, which has a very bass-forward rock delivery. After that the instrumental calms down a bit for a slower part, and we actually get a synth-y folk beat in the background. As we leave the slower part the instrumental builds up again until it peaks in the chorus. After the chorus the instrumental and the lyrics actually interchange, and the song ends on some lovely piano notes.
