Now this is a fun one! This is a remix of The Wonderbolts Rap that took me by surprise! A genre I haven’t heard much in recent years, its veeery refreshing to here some straight, and solid Moombahcore. Nyancat has done a very good job here capturing the groove of the original while adding some intense flare with some complex vocal splices and fun gritty basslines. This will be a treat for many and I’m looking forward to see what else they have in store!
Electronic
Brickface Productions & IPON3 – Methane Mash | Chiptune
A lovely collab themed around Button Mash and having the most creative name, this new track from Brickface Productions and IPON3 is full of cute vibes and nostalgic sounds that will make for such a blissful moment! The vocal samples mixed in the track complete the instrumental so well and it’s all making me melt!
[Out Of Limit 4] Viricide Filly – Seconds Into Centuries, I Let My Hair Grow | Downtempo / Experimental
From noise.horse’s hottest compilation to date, Viricide has submitted their prowess for plucky, glitchy ambiances with this track. This one is not for the weak of heart! Soothing, yet harsh; loose, yet constricted. The passage of time is a complex one and this track is full of little intricacies and design choices that really showcase what noise.horse is all about! Don’t forget to check out the rest of Out of Limit 4: The Philosophy of Time for more abstract and interesting songs, trust me, its really worth the time!
Daniel Ingram – You’re In My Head Like a Catchy Song (Odyssey Eurobeat’s Lovers Mix) (feat. Jessa) | Eurobeat
It’s 2019. The final season is halfway done. Our fandom is questioning was will happen after its all over? Let the legend himself Eurobeat Brony tell you then. Brony music will live on, and he is still doing what he loves. His dedication to this fandom should still give you hope. He shows no signs of his love going away, remixing one of fandom’s most beloved songs of Applejacks parents ballad of love to each other. Using those amazing eurobeat melodies and some electric guitar, the pace is fun and just right! The lyrics still give you a wonderful feeling in your body. You should grab that special somepony of yours, dance with them, the meaning doesn’t change.
What an amazing take on this song! It’s different from what most of his songs are known for. By reinventing and showing off more of his musical arsenal, it is a clear sign that Odyssey is still challenging himself. It’s a nice tribute to Daniel’s work! Travis buddy keep doing your thing and setting a standard for your love for MLP!
BlueBrony – Yona Sing Sad Song | Lo-fi
Anytime BlueBrony releases a new track, you never know what you’re going to get – from funk to steampunk pop to orchestral pop to lo-fi, it’s an adventure and a half for your ears! Yona Sing Sad Song is a wonderfully creative take on Yona’s brief tune of depression from “She’s All Yak” put to an amazing soundscape that only BlueBrony could think of! The instrumentation really evolves throughout the course of the track, making it one you definitely need to check out!
FilledSilhoutte – Make-Up | French House
Bringing the groove and high danceability of French House, as well as some glamorous and ladylike vibes, FilledSilhoutte did amazing with this Rarity-themed track part of a new upcoming album “Rarity’s Fashion Playlist”! Come dance, move your hooves and shake your tail to the beat! It’s disco time!
Yellow Tune – Did I Love You | Trance
Well, looks like I am following a trend of dance party music with a brony vibe to it. Don’t let the artwork by ashkael fool you. This song is an upbeat and bop EDM jam By Yellow Tune. Hmm, maybe Cadence wants to feel full of energy before she deals with Chrysalis. A fight with this kind of beat? Sounds good to this Qilin. I find the goofy vocals in this tune fits right in the M.O of the song. However, I’m pretty sure Shining Armor isn’t feeling the beat here. Thank Celestia for his wife! Throw this up on your player at your next meet up will ya. Thanks for the party tune, Yellow Tune.
Ardhy Mahardhy – Ponk | Future Bass
This is a new face I haven’t seen before and I must say I’m pleasantly surprised! I really like the chilled out melody that is played throughout both in the drops and the separate verses. The whole song may not be as grandiose as some future bass tracks I’ve heard but there is a charm to this more laid back song. It takes me back to the olden days of the fandom and the myriad of Pinkie Pie samples further hit home that feeling. Awesome work Ardhy!
7th Stive – Princess Chrysalis | Drum & Bass
LONG LIVE THE BUG QUEEN! OH….HELL…YEAH! 7th Stive brings his brand of hardcore, in a tune that is the true essence of what is about her. It’s dark and intimidating. I get this feeling that as I listen to this. Chrysalis feels like she is marching on a tear, hell-bent and wants to snap. The melody has this psychopathic tone to it as it goes on. A very good tune for a beloved villain. Oh and please check TsaoShin for the amazing art.
[P@D] UndreamedPanic – The Pillars | Riddim / Dubstep
“You can not bring only the Pillars back”
UndreamedPanic brings out quite the heavy hitter opening with an excerpt from Shadow Play” in which the Pony of Shadows makes his debut, we are soon bombarded with some filthy and aggressive shockwaves. This track is one of my favourites from Ponies at Dawn: Skyward and I love how Panic brings out the concussive force of Riddim while still having some elements of Dubstep in the mix. Overall this is a really powerful piece to play off of the events following the return of the Pillars and deserves its place on the album!
