SpinScissor returns with a remix of a G4 classic “Find A Way”. This immediately takes a dark turn from the start with metallic warping textures overlain on an ominous drone. The mix of Twilight’s vocals and the tone of the mix are intriguingly unique and there is always a new element introducing itself to keep things fresh and flowing!
Ponies At Dawn – Wanderlust | Compilation Album
In case you missed the release party earlier this month, Ponies at Dawn have released their twenty-sixth(!) album Wanderlust. Sporting 76 songs in a variety of genres, the album features the usual mix of P@D and fandom veterans and some newcomers to the scene. Regardless of your taste, there’s something to please everybody in this huge collection of brand new music!

Vylet Pony – Needle Pusher | Electro Pop
Vylet is back with another fun pop song! This time focused around the loveable Coco Pommel recognizing that even in the face of knowing herself and her self-worth, she will still have an uphill battle when it comes to another’s perception of what they believe you to be.
A super catchy and squishy melody is introduced to us before some screaming chiptune leads soar above our heads. Followed by Vylet’s infectious vocals combined with a patchwork symphony of glitches, 8-bit harmonies and warped and breathy pads really adds an air of mysticism. There’s a bunch of emotion here, sometimes happy; Hopeful. Other times frustrated.
What really stuck out to me was the phrase and feel before and after the 2:30 mark. A beautiful optimistic string movement, yet the vocals speak a tale of frustration adding a lot of depth to the song. After the pause we have the return of that shuffling happy melody quite literally forcing its way out of the static and all though Coco’s problems aren’t resolved, she’ll continue to do her best and make it through another day.

Originally debuting at Ponyville Ciderfest this year, TCB’s bootleg of this heavy hitting Fallout Equestria piece from Ponies At Dawn: Rebirth finally gets a finished and full mix! Staying true to many of the trap elements of the original, this remix takes things to a new dimension of sound, bending and skewing perspective with otherworldly and intense drops. A balancing act of colour bass flare and spectacle with the grit and rawness of riddim. A new perspective on an already great song, this one is a must listen!
Sparklight Productions – Through the Night | Trap
Showcasing another track from his Paradox EP, this song from Sparklight is a nice minimal take on classic trap sounds. It’s almost relaxing in its vibe, but still manages to carry a pulsing, dark energy throughout.
Ardhy Mahardhy – D A S H | Trance
It’s been a while since we’ve seen anything from Ardhy, but they’ve made a welcome return to YouTube with this trace tune. The combination of agressive and relaxing, driving and melodic elements is fitting for the genre and the mood of a high-speed solo flight.
The Wilders – Rule 4 That (EveryDayDashie Remix) | Glitch-Hop
EveryDayDashie has dived straight into the G5 scene with yet another remix, this time of a Tell Your Tale song. Considering it’s the first time they’ve made these kind of dubstep-adjacent sounds, they’ve done a pretty good job weaving all the sounds together to make a cohesive heavy beat!
SOUND BANDIT – YOU MUST SHINE | Plunderphonics
Sound Bandit’s been discovering a newfound love for G3 and this song is the result of that. As well as a unique style of music that turns from soft pianos and pads into electronic drum sounds, this song carries the message of shining your light for everyone – be the person you are and don’t be afraid to show it!
BlackIceMusic & Namii – Memory (Dropper Vampire Remix) | Progressive House
Dropper Vampire’s put their own spin on BlackIceMusic and Namii’s album opener from Ponies at Dawn’s Zenith album and it’s managed to transform the song into something else. They’ve gone for a more melodic approach than the original with very trancey pads and adding in their own synth melodies which create a wonderfully triumphant feel every time it drops!
