A State of Sugar – Lollipop | Compilation Album | Multi-Genre


The team behind the trancey chill pony themed promo channel A State of Sugar have came together around 6 months ago to organise the collaborative’s first album. Now the album is finally ready, featuring both some of the regulars to the channel and a few new artists to the scene too! In total this one reaches 21 tracks, so if you’re still overwhelmed by the size of the Ponies At Dawn albums, this is something a little more digestible but still completely fresh for you to try out.

Bank Pain and DJT has brought us an amazing mixture of dubstep and trap music all in one true and amazing banger. And of course what’s a banger without some hot vocals from Wootmaster himself? These three are amazing together and totally something you won’t regret listening to. They’ve got some tricks up their hooves throughout so you may be surprised with what they throw at your ears!

Here’s something groovy from the one and only PegasYs. With real cute chiptune melodies and smooth sound design, and even go-go bells! Despite the song itself is only three minutes exactly, It’s still such a really bootyful track to listen to, especially in the good ol’ summertime. Now, ready to hit up the beach and play some ball?

[P@D] Crystarium & R3CTIFIER – Scimitar | Drumstep

Yooo! Some drumstep in Ponies @ Dawn? Hecks yeah! Go deep into the mysterious woods with Crystarium and R3ctifier with this exotic little banger. With awesome arrays of great sounding, crisp wubs and interesting trap-like sections of beats are definitely sure to get you off your tail and bop your head back and forth for a while.

P.S. there’s lasers throughout, be very careful!

[P@D] DJT & NeverLastStanding – Citadel / DerpyCrash & Hay Tea – Goodbye | Drum & Bass

DJT joins with NeverLastStading, in a Drum & Bass track that it’s pretty amazing! Great drop and synths, the samples used are pretty good. A banger from the depths of the latest Ponies At Dawn album: Guardians! The bell melody at the middle of the song is really astounding! A masterpiece of composition quality and great imagination!

From some really kickass and chill Liquid Drum & Bass, Hay Tea; a figure that has been in every Ponies At Dawn album since Celestial Planes, joins with DerpyCrash for making this great track! The melody, the vocals, the awesome bass design and the soft synths made this song also a great tune from the depths of Guardians. The sombre and atmospheric look that this track gives is really noticed and gave me chills. The smooth and minimal drums that feature almost every track done by Hay Tea are also the kings of the track along with the vocals!

Sable Symphony – Trepidation | Electronicore

When Sable Symphony (formerly MetalPony) is trying his hoof at Electronicore / Trancecore, and when it’s for a deep track focusing on Starlight’s character depth, you can be sure the result will have many wonders and be quite enjoyable! Overreaching all expectations, the musician comes up with a progressive piece where the musical inspirations are making for amazing experimentations, and where pony feelings and reactions to S07E10 A Royal Problem are giving life to an awesome tribute to our beloved Starlight, who definitely harnessed a lot of fans by showing her emotions and relatable weaknesses so earnestly inside that dream. A masterpiece of a track blending musical genres!

Vylet Pony & Silva Hound – Bang Out (Chang31ing Remix) | Hybrid Trap

It’s so cool to see the original Bang Out being given a new life, and Chang31ing was the musician for the job with this tasty remix brimming with newfound Trap and Twerk vibes! Featuring the original Chrysalis samples and building the drops faster than ever, the remix is a neverending heated party starring our beloved (ex?)changeling queen!

Wootmaster – Brony Rapper (ShinZm Remix) | Hip-Hop

It’s always wonderful to see Wootmaster’s awesome tunes and relatable views getting some love, and this remix of Brony Rapper (which practically became a classic) by ShinZm does an amazing job at further spreading the audacity of the original lyrics and sublimating Wootmaster’s vocals, while delivering a sick grimey instrumental that really sets it apart. Very slick and smooth while giving that cool underground mood, it is the remix of Brony Rapper that we didn’t know we needed!

[P@D] Flittzy – You And I | Alternative Dance / Alternative Pop

Another great track from the newest and awesome P@D album: Guardians. Flittzy bring us a great tune reminding me of 90’s music acts such as Primal Scream. This tune, which talks about the relation between Twilight and Princess Luna, has everything for becoming the best song on this great album full of surprises! First the vocals are well performed, Flittzy does an awesome job singing and we already know that! Second is the writing capacity of Flittzy, those lyrics were really cool, awesome and with some really meaningful messages. Third is the mixing and instrumentation, the instrumental is very good and the mix between the guitars and the drum machine was pretty awesome, don’t forget the mix between the instrumental and the vocals that was pretty kickass also!

BassPon3 – Pinkie’s Cannon | Hardcore

Pinkie Pie’s party cannon is kind of an affectionate theme for EDM party tracks since the early days of the community and this original song by BassPon3 certainly gives a retro vibe somewhat! With the kind of simplistic yet very “pony” and enjoyable cover art, the song delivers party vibes through a well-made instrumental with a neat progression, and samples for extra craziness!
