Phoxi here is a relatively fresh face to the fandom, but they’ve made themself known in certain circles already (you may remember Panic Display). Starlight Ataraxia is a future house song with great sound design and plenty of GlimGlam for those of you inclined towards reformed villain pones.

14UDSI and GloryOfTheRainWings are no strangers to collaborating with each other; they’ve done songs together on previous compilation albums. An electro house track with trancey synths and stellar vocals, this is one of my favourites from 174UDSI to date. Keep up the great work!

Apples! Versatile German producer Hydra is back, this time with a bouncy bass house tune. Flexing some fun bass design and some smartly pitched percussive builds in addition to a solid beat, the result is a smooth track in a style that I’d love to hear more of from the community.

Rarity continues to inspire and here we’ve got a new blissful Progressive House experience from Ponytronic, revolving around her. Perhaps you don’t need a spell to let your soul fly away to the sound of music!

The word “sakura” stands for cherry blossom petals, an important cultural symbol in Japan, usually representing a new beginning with new hopes, along the start of spring and the new semester in Japanese schools. It is quite a clever title for one of the tracks opening the ball of the new Ponies at Dawn album (reminder : you can preorder it here), and a much uplifting Progressive House masterpiece at that! Using such classic pony samples as Twilight from I’ve Got to Find a Way, its positive melodies and sounds will make you feel as light as a sakura falling from a cherry tree (which speed is exactly of 5 Centimeters Per Second, by the way).

An interesting piece close to being a “concept track”, Sad Mind is evoking a certain melancholy, and the strings-like sounds are definitely embodying Octavia. With a musical mood reflecting the theme, orchestral notes and a pretty awesome sound design, this song is like a story unfolding!
