Combining post-hardcore, metal, trance, and drum & bass all into one song, Segments of Life has left me confused what to call this track other than an awesome piece of work! Have this full-on song to start off the day.
Metal
Soul Strings – Tower of Endlessness | Metal
Soul Strings is back with nothing less than I expected. A melodic death metal ballad, telling an original fantasy story with dark magic and super fast double kick pedals! Keep it heavy Soul \m/
StealingShad3Z – Do What You Daring Do | Hardcore / Metal
Something from Shady that’s rather different to his usual content. Deviating a bit from the alt. rock ballads that fill his channel this time he’s made an instrumental hardcore/metal type song about Daring Do.
Stallionslaughter – Sweepcore | Deathcore
As much addicted to “sweep dance remixes” as I am, I’ve still got to say, EDM remixes are great and all, but… what about rock music? Admitedly beyond my wildest expectations, here comes Sweepcore, a beautiful Deathcore rendition of the madness that Twilight’s remix has created in the community, breaking the barriers of the socially adequate, and shouting loud and proud about the fun of sweeping in the purest spirit of rock. Unconditionally a masterpiece for its dare and raw power, Sweepcore may not be the definite promise of a new musical genre but is certainly a much welcomed addition to the post-episode afterparty, and sure to be played in many Equestrian back-alley underground gig halls.
Reverbrony – Echoes of the Abyss | Metal
Shoo be doo? Reverbrony’s latest song has a lot of atmospheric elements to give a the haunting feel of isolation beneath the ocean. Also Lyra as a seapony with swordfish-style armour. You can’t go wrong with that!
Ponysphere – Sweetie Monster | Metal

This one song from Ponysphere sure isn’t for the faint-hearted, so if you’re not afraid of the unusual, do check this out and partake in the madness after the break.
Ponysphere – Time Heals | Melodic Death Metal
Like the perfect spiritual heir of My Past Is Not Today, this much welcomed Melodic Death Metal track from Ponysphere stands out as a masterfully crafted tribute to the wonderful character of Sunset shimmer, being beautiful and strong at the same time. With even subtle Folk Metal notes, this journey through emotional melodies and powerful instruments and vocals is all but failing at displaying the strength and unique charms of Melodic Death Metal (my favorite metal subgenre, by the way). And I’d say that Time Heals indeed, despite much controversy on the saying, I found that it’s actually true!
Frozen Night – Heartstrings | Atmospheric Metal
Ambiant, Orchestral and Metal composer Frozen Night completes the reflective setting of the artwork with a beautiful, melodic, uplifting yet soothing Atmospheric Metal track, and even its name is implying emotion! Gaze at that somptuous view of the Crystal Empire while letting the magic from the music happen…
The L-Train presents the Royal Canterlot Symphonic Metal Orchestra – Fall of an Empire | Symphonic Metal
After 18 months in the making, and marking the longest and biggest project he’s ever created, The L-Train proudly presents to us Fall of an Empire, an opera by the Royal Canterlot Symphonic Metal Orchestra. His second symphonic rock opera, following Moonrise from early 2014, this 50-minute epic tells the rise and fall of King Sombra, and features contributions from dozens of talented artists from the fandom. Take a seat, put on your best headphones, and prepare for a musical journey unlike any other. Full album opera writeup after the break.
idkQuicksilver – Luna’s Future (Covering Daniel Ingram) | Metal
Here we have a short but sweet metal arrangement of Luna’s Future from idkQuicksilver with Aloma Steele’s vocals fitting alongside VERY nicely. I hope we get to see more 8-string guitar action from Quicksilver soon, it’s sounding fantastic!
