One of my favorites from Ponies at Dawn Skyward, this new progressive musical adventure in Equestria from the passionate duo of Mane In Green and Koron Korak is as stunning as you could expect, with such a rich composition and delightful folk vibes pertaining to the theme! Speaking of, I recommend reading the description and comments for new imagined lore and story around the song, and pure pony love all around!
Misc
Koron Korak – Smile It’s Just a Goodbye | Orchestral
A powerful and impactful tribute, this masterpiece from Koron got a deep backstory and meaning, and it’s expressing a lot of heartfelt things too, that you can read about in the description. You can definitely feel it in the music, with such emotion from the violin and a grand composition that was crafted with love! Featuring a gorgeous cover art drawn by Mane In Green!
Viricide Filly – Vividddd | Downtempo / Experimental Garage
Viricide is no stranger to obscure and unique vibes and this is no exception! There is a very bright and airy atmosphere with those signature processed vocals with which the song opens, but once you get to the meat of the mix that is where she truly shines! A very gritty yet mellow mood with an exceptionally groovy bassline, there is something for everyone here as we follow Eleanor on her journey throughout the soon-to-be-released album “Yet Sightless”.
RottenTotten – At the Break of Day | Orchestral
Oh, Daybreaker. How I shall march for the glory and praise of the fiery sun goddess. There is such a beautiful and soothing melody here. To someone who is so brutal and sinister! I was happy to hear something so fitting of Daybreaker’s character. Her mane of Sunfire blowing around as she stands there. Taking her glory in as she hears “PRAISE THE SUN!” from her followers below. I just love orchestral music because it can tell a story. This song has such a brutal and unsettling undertone feel to it, yet it’s so soothing it fits so well. I guess this is why RottenTotten gets the good word I hear about.
FilledSilhoutte – P.O.N.Y (feat. Wootmaster) | Hip-Hop
(Lyrics and vocals used from WootMaster’s Funky House track of My Little Mixtape.)
Who loves smooth and funky hip-hop? How about some brony love and life? This remix tribute to Wootmaster is just the right mix of the humor of this fandom, and the smooth sound of old school hip-hop. A song about an everyday brony’s passion for Friendship is Magic. Have a listen. Have a chuckle. Enjoy this song. For this is Brony hip-hop done well.
Vylet Pony – Tyr | Hybrid Orchestral
This sweeping, progressive track from Vylet Pony’s latest album Homeward takes the listener on an incredible journey. Beginning with some uplifting journey music, and transitioning into a powerful, orchestral anthem before ending with some gentle music box vibes, the track shows the listener a glimpse of the beautiful, magical, musical world Vylet has created.
Forest Rain – CHRISSY | Pop Punk
I’m so happy that Chrissy is getting some more love all around in the community, and the pony music scene certainly is on it, with Forest Rain doing us the honors of an amazing Pop Punk treat about the Changeling Queen! Spontaneous fan songs echoing feelings for our beloved characters are just the best! Follow Forest along the rocking riffs, inspired lyrics and lovely vocals, and let’s spread our love and passion loud and wide!
Daniel Ingram – Smile Song (Nyancat380 Bootleg) | Hip-Hop / Chiptune
A recent favorite of mine that came out of nowhere, Nyancat380’s Bootleg is quite emotional with such a creative use and effects on Pinkie vocals from the beloved Smile Song. The bassline all throughout is adding even more emotion, making for quite a unique remix like we don’t get that often. The last part is especially powerful for me!
Heartsong – Peacegrove Village ~ Hopeseed | Soundtrack
Cadenza Heartstrong is in my eyes a very Underrated Musician. It therefore does me great pleasure to do a HMH article for him! Today we delve in a nice Legend of Zelda like track developed for the Fanfic; Magisight: Thaumaturgical Ocularity. I really like the vibe this song gives off. Peacegrove Village is a testament to Cadenza Heartsong’s talent to bring in happy and uplifting melodies, and I most definitly reccomend this track. Well done!
N4ghtwolf – Requiem of Shadows | Orchestral
This piece from the prolific composer N4ghtwolf is quite melancholy, yet empowering…not the easiest emotions to mix, but he has done it with this piece! Admittedly, I’m not familiar with the MLP comics, nor this storyline, but the description has a good summation. Based on that, the lyrics detail the interaction between the corrupted King Sombra and his first love interest and they work wonderfully how simply they are. The track is nothing short of heart-pounding with its heavy percussion and tonal shifts, so for any pony orchestral fans, N4ghtwolf has come through once again!
