Koa – forget me not | Piano Ballad

The final track from Koa’s 2021 album, In Your Eyes, takes a lovely little turn from the more upbeat and danceable songs that precede it. Stripped back of all instrumentation but a piano, Koa’s vocals really get a chance to shine here, in terms of both her singing and songwriting. She presents a bittersweet story of forgotten friendships, but hints a hopeful resolution – that maybe sometimes we can pick up where we left off…

Pipetka – Despair | Hybrid Orchestral

Content warning: mentions of death, pleading, crying.

Suffice to say, this song is a roller coaster of emotions. It starts out straight off the bat with terrifying vocals and pleading for life, supported by nothing more then low synths, before guitars set in to properly start the track. Everything takes a while to build, supported by another small vocal part, as the piece crescendos to a powerful drum solo. Towards the second half the song becomes more hopeful, with high strings and triumphant horns, making for a strange but quite interesting shift in mood before the song comes to an end on a piano solo supported only partially by other instruments.

Wandering Artist – At the end of the day | Album | Orchestral / Soundtrack

Wandering Artist is back once again with another incredible collection of environments and medleys, seven in fact as part of their new album “At the end of the day”.

Originally developed as a radio drama soundtrack involving Sunny, inspired by long commutes to work as of late and how well radio shows can keep you company during those lonely drives, but “at the end of the day”, decided to just release it as music, allowing us to think of our own stories and contemplate on what Sunny did during her day while she finally gets a moment of respite!

Jyc Row – Fulmen, King of Thunder (elg. Ziv Shalev) | Orchestral

When you think of big, bold, and glorious, the image of Fulmen becomes an epic show of thunder and lightning! That hits you so hard and fast as the build to that epic guitar solo hits your ears; you feel you’re in the presence of a mighty king that looks and takes care of his lands and its people. The incredible score of power and glory that blends that mix of epic power metal and the pantheon of orchestral that would fire up anypony to follow King Fulmen into the deepest pits of Tartarus! Jyc Row again shows how it’s done by presenting a character by music! As always, this Qilin asks you to judge for yourself.

[P@D] Michael Picher, RedSpark, Ethan Toavs, Repent & Frozen Night – Changelings On A Theme | Orchestral

In a fine exhibition on P@D: Zenith, the orchestral bronies community flexes its muscles to show how deep they are. As these five gentlemen show, a music sheet is only the blueprint. The same song with different elements and styles can have some beautiful results when you have creative music-making like this. A different story in tone and mood with how Princess Celestia had her first real encounter with Thorax and the reformed changelings just by how a song is composed! Delightful on the ears! As always, this Qilin asks you to judge for yourself.

ararix135 – A Tune for ‘Shy | Soundtrack

This piece instantly grabs my attention with its repeating acoustic arpeggios and the beautiful piano melody accompanying it! The rises and falls of the melody are catchy and the overall song just fits Fluttershy’s vibe. Free and cheerful, and has that sense of scope and wonder that makes you want to explore the great outdoors!

[VibePoniez] Jyc Row – The Throne of the Elements | Orchestral

Twilight Sparkle is, without a doubt, one of the most relatable and best-developed protagonists you could ask for in western animation history; we, as bronies, lived it through her emotions to the very end. Only Jyc Row, with his debut track on Vibeponiez: Downtown, could put it well with this score; the melodies along with this fanart celebrate Bookhorse’s legacy beautifully; at times, it may sound bittersweet that FiM is over. Fear not, my friends. Friendship never dies; Twilight thought this score lives on forever with how she touched all of us. It is an incredible emotion that makes you smile. Think about this quote by Twilight “Friendship isn’t always easy, but it’s definitely worth fighting for” close your eyes, and imagine twilight smiling with warmth. That’s what this song feels like. Well done, Jyc Row! As always, this Qilin asks you to judge for yourself.

Jyc Row – Applejack, Rotten to the Core | Orchestral

As part of his “Elden Wing EP”, named after the Elden Ring game, Jyc Row is doing epic boss themes for some of our favorite ponies! And my oh my did he nail Applejack! The eerie chants create this creepy atmosphere from the very beginning, and once the strings come in this is only ramped up! Giving us a truly bone-chilling track that could appear in a video game exactly like this! And with an end that works almost like an epic crescendo to the whole thing, this masterpiece will send shivers down your spine!

Now this is something you don’t see everyday! As part of the official soundtrack for Minty Root’s “Missing out”, BlueBrony wrote this amazing Ballad about Starlight’s struggles, how she is slowly coping with all her guilt. [VibePoniez] Skyshard – Star Catcher | Hybrid Orchestra

Skyshard’s music is always a sight to behold, especially her orchestral and Hybrid orchestral tracks have always been stellar, and this one does not disappoint either! With the fun and upbeat synth melodies, combined with all the most fun parts of orchestral, mainly the strings that always do so much for the song, “Star Catcher” is an amazing piece that definitely deserved its spot in VibePoniez’ newest album “Downtown”!
