[ASOS] Tripon – Then She Said | Neurofunk

In linguistics, amelioration is the upgrading of a negative term to a positive one. Then She Said, Tripon’s newest Neurofunk tune is a perfectly appropriate example of this phenomenon. Then She Said is nasty, disgusting, filthy, and vile, all at once, yet it contains exemplary uses of sound design. From the minor seconds pad, to the terrifying basses, to the crunchy Rarity sample, this piece creates many auditory innovations that justify calling this tune wicked, mental, and insane. This is definitely a highlight for me from the compilation album this utterly sleazy ditty originates from, A State of Sugar: Chocolate. This tune is all the more reason to pay attention to Tripon’s super secret upcoming album!

brambleshadow4 – To Become an Alicorn | Ambient/Orchestral

Out of brambleshadow4’s upcoming series of musical pieces based on the mane six comes To Become an Alicorn, which is Twilight’s piece! Mindful of fantasia, the mystical chord changes are the beauty of this track. Truly following Twilight Sparkle’s narrative, the beginning of this track sounds like the curiosity of learning, then the euphoria of success, then the troubling dissonance of odd unknown happenings, and finally, triumph. I can’t wait to hear how cool the other tracks sound!

Nyancat380 – I’ve found this song in my lost files folder… | Breakcore

Nyancat, I know you’re going to read this bro. Right off the bat, you are such a psycho with your music, dude! For everyone else who doesn’t know Nyancat, he is very unique with his product–yeah, I will just say that, ha ha! This song has Pinkie’s Wonderbolt rap mixed in with elements that seem fitting for what goes through miss Pie’s mind 24/7. Breakcore is all these things mixed together, and it sounds so over the top as if the Animaniacs put this song together. Mashcore is the way of making it all fit together and flow. This track goes wildly around that, and you really do think you are in the mind of Pinkie Pie, 100%. Honestly just listening to this music is very enjoyable. As always, this Qilin asks you to judge for yourself.

Radiarc – Reminisce | Orchestra

Long-time brony musician veteran Radiarc joins the party with another touching and pretty FiM 10th anniversary piece to add to the list of so many musicians releasing on this date. The message of this track plays on the mind. You are not what you once were when you entered this fandom. For me that is the real truth. This piece is just glorious with such soft piano, violin, and really nice choir vocals in the background. Clear your mind and think about your journey through this fandom and how those characters or the friends you’ve made in this fandom have changed you and help mold you. The melodies and harmonies of this piece will have you, for better or worse, looking back and smiling fondly at your journey to here. As always, this Qilin asks you to judge for yourself.

Lord Sunfyre – Nothing’s Perfect (feat. GazPony & BreeBree) | Pop Punk

More Pony Life music! The track is brought to you by yet another brony punk rocker, Lord Sunfyre. They are joined by GazPony’s energetic vocals and mixed by Bree, and together they have created a track with some classic punk rock guitar and pace, and lyrics with a message to the fandom. Things are never perfect, nor is the show Pony Life, but the fandom can live on regardless. The vocals and the rockin’ instrumentation speed through this track with the same madcap energy of the show. The video itself has the nice touch of showing moments from all nine seasons of FiM, which is another strong reminder of why we are here. Give this dude some love! As always, this Qilin asks you to judge for yourself.

Power Note – Night and Day | Melodic Dubstep

How about something wholesome? Power Note’s got you covered with Night and Day, a sweet and sour melodic dubstep track that begins with a beautiful melody played by a piano and synthesizers, followed by a build up that leads into a surprisingly harsh synth section with the punchiest of drums! As it goes on, the heavenly piano jumps right back in to replace the heavy synths to give the song time to breathe, before building up yet again with an almost future bass-y kind of sound which carries on throughout the rest of the song. Power Note has a penchant for creating atmospheres. Just listen to how diverse this song gets!

Blackened Blue – All You Need | Metal

So, everypony, have you ever wondered what would happen if Potion Nova wasn’t this happy character but much darker? That is exactly what Blackened Blue touched on with his newest song “All You Need”, but let’s cut down on the rambling and get straight to it!
The track starts out with a guitar riff so amazing that it blew me off my chair on my first listen through. It’s quickly followed by the amazing lyrics from Blackened all about the real intent of Potion Nova: being a drug dealer and telling an apparent addict in her home that they will never be able to escape the addiction and that this is all they need, which drove a chill down my spine. As the hook returns, Nova tells the addict that there is no escaping from her. Then Blackened surprises us with some more amazing lyrics, screaming vocals, and a guitar solo so awesome that after twenty listens through I’m still struggling to describe it properly. And for the end we once more get the amazing chorus.

[ASoS] Night Blaze – Alicorn Commander | Orchestral

So, everypony, this is a song I actually wrote about in the All-Out Article about ASOS: Chocolate, which you can find here… But let’s not start rambling too much and get straight to the song!
The song starts out with strings and a drum but quickly adds other instruments, making it feel like battalions coming together on the battlefield to fight side by side against a dangerous enemy; you can hear the drums sound as the armies collide. The beat calms down a bit after the initial clash, but the other instruments add to the tension and signal more danger, and the piece builds again to its full might as the opposing armies collide once again. From there the piece keeps on rolling, never calming down, indicating a long and stressful battle until it suddenly stops. This track blew me off my feet when I first listened to it, and I gain additional appreciation for the epic beat and subtle shifts in the music every time I listen to it.

[P@D] Lavender – Gilded (feat. Namii) | Melodic Dubstep

Today we’ve got ourselves a song all about Lyra Heartstrings, everypony and sweet Celestia, is it great! The track starts out with just a slow beat that gradually gets more powerful while the lyrics set in and are instantly going to catch your attention. While you’re still mesmerized by the lyrics the song builds up towards the first drop which is prefaced by a single line before it hits in all its glory. The song doesn’t give you any time to breathe and immediately returns to catchy vocals and a short instrumental solo before the second drop, which is slightly different but no less awesome, and those differences really give the song a vibrant feeling to end on.

PrinceWhateverer & Jalmaan – Enemy Undefined | Drum & Bass/Metal

LOADING WRITING SYSTEMS……….
LOADING INTRO……..
Okay, everypony, today we have something special! “Enemy Undefined” is the sequel to “L_ST-_N-D_TA”, which makes this the third installment of PrinceWhatever’s “Destabilize” series which is all about Sweetie Bot getting her cover blown and having to flee; but enough of my rambling–let’s get straight to the song!

LOADING MAIN PART………
The song starts out with a muffled beat by Jalmaan which slowly gets louder and clearer, and you soon come to realize that you’ve gotten even more than you expected when clicking on this song. The lyrics, most of which are Sweetie Bot’s programming going completely haywire, begin with a system failure log and reveal Sweetie Bot’s unfortunate situation: In her current state, everyone else is seen as a threat, and lethal action is her default response. Sweetie Bot asks her pursuers if they believe that she is dangerous, and then, with just a small bit of beat as transition, the drop hits, with awesome guitar work accompanying the beat as Sweetie Bot prepares to fight whomever is chasing her, until a sounding alarm is accompanied by even more awesome guitar. Sweetie Bot then wonders: What will happen if she actually kills somepony; will that finally make her feel alive? As the drop hits, Sweetie Bot challenges her pursuers suggesting that they follow through decisively if they agree that she is a threat and warning that she is unlikely to surrender. Once again Sweetie Bot finds herself struggling to see anyone else as anything other than an “enemy” as the muffled beat resumes, creating a sense of tension and expectation. A short passage of lyrics ushers in the chorus as Sweetie Bot prepares for what might be her last standoff…
