Here’s a song with a very emotional meaning and story, perfectly conveyed by the instrumental and the vocals, that are also much emotional. It is emphasizing on the character depth of Bon Bon, as she had to hide her true identity and secret activity from her best friend, Lyra. Reminiscing of similar situations in movies like Nikita, perhaps the emotions expressed through the song could also resonate with you on some other level. We may not be inside a spy movie, but certainly there are other situations when you have an activity that you wish you could share with a beloved one. A much welcomed song full of depth from Indie Notes indeed, that is part of his album Under Equestria’s Skies available for sale on his Bandcamp.

Einarx & Liam K – Sonata | Electro
Off the upcoming Nightwatcher EP centered around Luna, Sonata might perhaps reflect the soft lullaby that the Princess of the Night indirectly gives to ponies as they fall asleep. Although this track resulting from the collaboration of musical talents Einarx and Liam K sure sounds the like “heavy” kind of Sonata, and it is definitely much welcomed! Full of that tasty Electro sound, it seamlessly delivers a sick musical experience of many stylish synth melodies, wubs and beats! The last part in particular is my favorite.
GhostXb – Big Sister Lullaby (feat. Angel Love) | Orchestral
Some songs just seem to magically trigger otherworldly emotions out of you, and this is one of those that just does for me. It’s something you can’t really explain, but it is definitely a token of our potential to feel the full power of music, which is so powerful that it may actually be considered “magic”. Definitely a very potent one among those “wizards”, GhostXb wrote a lullaby chanted among those sisterly relationships from the show that we love, and it is starring Angel Love‘s oustanding vocals, that are just as literally divine as the instrumental backing them up. Truly, words have never been so powerless to describe the incredible experience that this track can provide, and I know I just wouldn’t be able to do it justice. It’s just something else. I’ll just say that the moment at 1:21 is the most powerful one for me and that it makes me feel things that are out of this world. Thank you, GhostXb and Angel Love, for these emotions and for the stunning work that you did!!
Vinxis – Trust (feat. Buffalo Brony) | Hip-Hop
The creative power of music is unlimited, and it’s even better when it’s conveying a heartfelt message, and here we’ve got a fine example of both! Using the original track Babs Trust No One from Vinxis featuring Albatross and Risen, Buffalo Brony went and imbued the track with not only brand new rap vocals of much quality, but also a deep meaning and message about looking further into the inner working of a bully’s mind in order to understand what hidden experiences may actually be the cause of it. And nopony’s better to showcase that message than Babs Seed!
Filly in the Box – Struck | Chill Dubstep
Time for a new delightful release from Filly in the Box, that has that tasty unique signature sound and that doesn’t fail to impress and amaze once again! This post is a bit special, as I introduce you TWO reviews of the track, by guest writers Bank Pain and NeverLastStanding! Thanks for lending us a hoof! Check out their reviews below.
Start of Bank Pain’s review
Filly in the Box returns to bring a new slice of his signature sound, this time in the form of a relaxed, reverb-loaded half-time tune that still manages to surprise with complex, rhythmic basslines. Complete with gorgeous vocal chops and impressive sound design that build a chilling atmosphere right from the first second as well as FitB’s attention to detail, this track is sure to take you on a journey through its soundscape.

Start of NeverLastStanding’s review
Filly In The Box continues the streak of posting really phenomenal and unique songs with “Struck”. This is one that easily gets stuck in my head, as from the start it has really catchy vocal chops, then builds up with some fantastic plucks that build the atmosphere and give that FITB flare. The drop has that stand-out distant and fading feel. The 2nd drop is even better with some top-notch sound design. Overall a track that is worth listening to with its own quirks that make the song a wonderful journey!!

The L-Train – Twi’s Light (feat. FenPony) | Symphonic Metal
Rejoice everypony, The L-Train is back with a new collaboration shining with the power of Friendship, and this one is about none other than our beloved Princess of Friendship herself! As we are graced by an amazing intrumental of many Metal and Orchestral progressive wonders the L-Train way, FenPony unleashes incredible vocals that are as great-sounding as they are catchy and cool. Choir vocals from The L-Train are also adding extra epicness to the song, which is definitely a masterpiece to come back to!
StrachAttack – Mustache Ride VIP | Melbourne Bounce
It’s heeeeere! The VIP of StrachAttack’s Mustache Ride, a classic included numerous times in live mixes from the musician and DJ (I highly recommend those mixes btw, sick stuff). Actually teased in the PCNYC 2017 mix, this VIP is literally dank, and Spike has never been so cool. While the Melbourne makes you Bounce to a beat that is both hard-hitting and comfy to lay back to, a relaxed ambience just gets you in the perfect mood to enjoy the moment without questioning. Far out, ponies!
VocalScorePony & Scarlet Harmony – Just Me | Piano Ballad
An awesome tribute to Starlight and Sunburst’s character depth, this wonderful duet from VocalScorePony and Scarlet Harmony resonates with passion, as inspired vocals from both vocalists complete each other along a beautiful instrumental. Definitely a song with much emotion in it!
Vylet Pony & Silva Hound – Bang Out | Hybrid Trap
We can count on Vylet Pony to musically bring to life the dankest ideas, and this concept co-created by Tsukii and explained in the description certainly pays much tribute to Queen Chrysalis in the coolest ways. Made in collaboration with Silva Hound, this delightful dirty banger unleashes rad bass, cool drums, sick Trap beats, amazing synth melodies, and definitely very enjoyable samples to prove once and for all that Chrysalis is best villain. The melodic part playing at 1:23 is my favorite aspect of the track, it’s so cool and villainous, sounding like it’s straight from a movie!
Ponytronic – Phantasm | Breaks
Emotional masterpiece incoming! I don’t need to introduce Ponytronic anymore, and his impressive streak of unique tunes with a signature mellow twist has come to what is in my opinion an emotional pinnacle, with this new release being just as unique and amazing as it is powerful to the soul. An original start gives way to an instrumental of indescribable beauty, progressing with much sensitivity, and synthesizing emotional melodies with a beat and sounds that are as clear as water. As for the ending, it is simply bringing me to tears every single time I relisten to it. And I swear those emotions are SO powerful that they seem like they’re coming from another world. That, is the true power of music, and I feel blessed to experience it thanks to tracks like these. That masterpiece of an outro, bringing untold emotions and probably coming from divine inspiration, is a blessing to have in the track, and I can’t thank Ponytronic enough for that. Music is magic, for real!
