The Shake Ups In Ponyville – All Aboard the Friend-ship! | Power Pop

Time for another YouTube release of a song from The Shake Ups’ latest album Rock Candy! (Which I would like to remind you is available as a physical CD on their cdbaby page, and in import, too! And it’s pretty slick, I grabbed it myself.) A Twilight-themed track and a favorite of the band, All Aboard the Friend-ship! conveys so well the unique traits of the signature pony Power Pop genre that the band is known for. The sweet and very MLP-ish lead vocals from “Twi-Fi Sparklecaster” Patrick O’Connor are melting the heart, while the friendly and just as Equestria-worthy instrumental contributes even further to make this track such a sugary condensed of pony-powered happiness in musical format. It just makes you smile so wide as the song unfolds. See this page for more details about the band, and let your cheering be heard everypony!

Velvet Wings & SDreamExplorerS – Forgotten Reality | Gothic Metal

Already delighting us with their Voyager masterpiece Little Feather and its Nightwish/Lacuna Coil/Within Temptation musical influences, the duo of many wonders composed of Velvet R. Wings and SDreamExplorerS is back with a much welcomed new release. Giving off a much enjoyable Gothic Metal vibe, the song displays Velvet’s almighty vocals that honor the genre very well, and for now we can only wonder about the meaning of the Russian lyrics, but judging by the amazing cover art I’m sure it’s pretty cool. SDreamExplorerS aka Soul Strings does an incredible job at the instrumental, perfectly accompanying the vocals and displaying much grace and force with both piano and guitar play.

[P@D] PhonicB∞m, Rhyme Flow & Technickel Pony – The Christmas Heist 2 (feat. Wootmaster) | Hip-Hop

The best robbery gang in Equestria and beyond! The place where the cool homies are at! Yes, I’m talking about the mighty squad that proved to lit December back in 2015 (and to efficiently dispose rich ponies from their wealth), composed of PhonicB∞m, Rhyme Flow and Technickel Pony. They’re back for another massive hold-up and with reinforcements this time, using the power of Amity to bring #1 Most Wanted collaborator Wootmaster in on the deal. Laying out the plan in the coolest musical ways, a sneaky and slick instrumental gives way to lovely rapping from both vocalists, and enjoyable pony lyrics with IRL references are running through the operation with style as a dependable beat is backing them up. A rad instrumental part comes in to give even more awesomeness to the song, and the last chorus ends the heist with panache. A mighty success and a masterpiece of a track, to come back to again and again! Mad props to all of the gang, and let’s not forget to also give shoutouts to Buffalo Brony and Blitz, two accomplices who provided an awesome video to go along the song!

[P@D] Budzy – Shouting at Ponies (feat. VooDoo) | Dubstep

Our friend Wubzy Budzy brings out the big guns with this hard-hitting piece of Amity featuring VooDoo at the pony sample department, and we welcome it with open hooves. The name Shouting at Ponies takes a potential meaning as slick triplets, heavy wubs, and rad samples energize the body and soul, reflecting the force of a shout.

[P@D] Luna Ticks – No Explanation | Punk Rock

Blissful bass, drums, and guitar play from Francis Vace merges with the best Punk Rock vocals from Quicksilver to create this delightful piece of Amity now coming with extra narky S1 Twilight greatness. Too often I feel like there is No Explanation for the otherworldly emotions that music can make you feel, and perhaps in the manner of Twilight at the end of Feeling Pinkie Keen, we should just seek solace in the reality of the fact, in this case letting the amazing vocals and top-notch instrumental enlighten the soul as our rock spirit takes us right in the middle of a gig in Equestria where this song is being played. Don’t forget to show your support to the musicians and thank them for this treat!

[P@D] Fractilx & Budzy – XXV | Hardcore / Drumstep

Amity truly makes for the most wonderful collabs, and this combination of Fractilx’s fondness toward Hardcore and Budzy‘s unique musical sensitivity sure is living up to what we could expect from such a lovely and intriguing collab! The last part is my favorite, with wicked wubs over an insanely powerful bear beat, and mellow background synths and melodies ensuing for a very emotional result. A masterpiece and progressive condensed of awesome from the musicians!

[P@D] Progressive Element & bank pain – LaunchcodeZ | Neurofunk

Plotting on unleashing some crazy DnB madness in Amity, banger masters Progressive Element and Bank Pain teamed up to create LaunchcodeZ, a dark, hard-hitting Neurofunk of much force. Gritty wubs, disquieting piano, wonders of sound design, and a tense mood are the perfect elements to turn insane to inside some hidden underground laboratory, and to input the launch code into the console.

Flittzy – Peppermint Ponies | Pop

It is Flittzy’s time to shine again as bright as a life-changing sonic rainboom, bringing smiles to the audience with an uplifting instrumental and much lovely vocals, in a similar way of what the show is doing to us. Happy acoustic guitar play, positive strings, Equestria-like synth melodies that may subtly remind you of some OST tracks from Legends of Equestria, much welcomed Pinkie-ish lyrics, and vocals as sweet as candy, all make this track a wonderful experience and additionally make you want to give Flittzy a big loving hug. I say everyone in the comments section all pounce-hug Flittzy at the same time!

[P@D] Elias Frost & Jyc Row – Windigos | Orchestral Metal

One of my personal top favorites from Amity, Windigos is a stunning blend of Metal and Orchestral, and incidentally or not, it is by masters of the genres Elias Frost and Jyc Row respectively. For this one, Elias composed an almighty instrumental using many instruments like the mandolin, acoustic guitar, electric guitar, and even flute, going all-out and delivering many emotional wonders over an incredible progression. The flute is especially one of my weaknesses here, and it really does amazing things throughout the soft yet powerful instrumental. Another of the elements I love the most about this masterpiece has got to be the vocals. Jyc Row‘s outstanding Metal vocals are proving once again to be insanely epic, and fill the song with a power full of the spirit of rock music and charisma. The backing vocals from Elias are also adding so much emotion to the song. In the last vocal part of the track in particular, the extended backing vocals blending with Jyc’s lead vocals in perfect unisson, has got to be the most emotional and intense part of the song for me, providing vocal melodic bliss and extra Folk vibes, for a masterful finale of divine power. I’m getting teary-eyed again while writing this, you guys are awesome, keep it up, I love you :’)
