Equestria i Tiden is an extremely intriguing song incorporating both English and Swedish lyrics. With a prelude of pan flute and nylon guitar, the song sets itself up for a surprising change of pace. The drums barge in and the synths provide a shining change of atmosphere, then to go back to its origin of background noise and pan flute. And the end of the song provides one of the most captivating choruses that I have heard recently. No second will bore you with this riveting, stylish piece by Rusty!

Vylet has to be one of the most prolific musicians in the fandom. There’s just no stopping her, is there? Track 16 from her latest album Love Letters: Colourless, it carries the signature sound of the album: somber keyboard notes with a gentle drum beat carrying Vylet’s beautiful voice and harmonies alongside chopped Rainbow Dash vocal samples. The faint noise in the background reminds me of the sound of falling rain, which definitely fits the mood of the song. Sometimes life doesn’t go exactly as you planned, and can often take a turn for the worse. This is an honest number that just oozes emotion.

Rusty’s unique musical mind has spawned another great song! The track contains a unique blend of EDM with string instruments joined with his wordless, yet melodious vocals, creating a psychedelic feeling all throughout. Join the Macarony once again for some resonantly nostalgic show tune remixes. Breakbeat-themed drums, strong basses, and beautifully sizzling leads make this song reminiscent of classic fandom icons. The atmospheric interludes of the vocoded vocals of the original make it even more bittersweet. This song makes me miss the music of the early 2010’s so much so, and upon listening to it, I’m certain you will too.

I really need to listen to Vylet’s album Love Letters: Colourless. When you think of Rainbow Dash, and the vast amount of brony music made about her, there is a lot of energetic, fast pace, songs that fits her character. Healing is a really nice change of flavor to the more stereotypical tracks.
Vylet Pony has made something soft and uplifting. The melodies are like a powerful wave of inspiration – very reminiscent of Rainbow Dash! The lyrics evoke emotions of her struggles. Vylet’s voice is so good over the harmonies, they make you feel like you’re in a dream watching the story take place. The message of Healing is powerful and wise. Moon Flame, powered by the magic of friendship, has woven together another lovely tune! Much like his other material, this one takes influence from 80s pop ballads, from the slow pace to the synth melodies in the background. Flame sings about friendship, a topic near and dear to him; no matter where life can bring you, friendship always triumphs in the end!

Vylet Pony’s “Identify” is an absolutely beautiful track with an amazing instrumental and relaxing vocals provided by Vylet herself. The instrumental, composed by Vylet and Remember Falling, is soothing, complete with some absolutely beautiful vocal processing, and some awesome underlying synths added in for flavor. The percussion is something that really stands out to me. Vylet’s use of water as a main element of percussion is executed perfectly, and the rest of the percussion just sit so great among the rest of the track.

Just in time for BronyCon, Loudsdale – a supergroup comprising of fandom musicians DoTheDaringDew and Luck Rock – have put together a sweet piece dedicated to – and featuring – our very own Makenshi! This track is a positive number driven by a catchy synth melody and crunchy guitars to accompany the duo’s voices and supportive lyrics about making it home by flight. BronyCon may have ended, but the joy most certainly hasn’t, and this song shows it!
MelodyBrony – Best Friends (feat. 4everfreebrony & StealingShad3z) | Rock
I just love these songs about the Student 6, since I love that group of friends a lot!! And this super collab from talented rock musicians definitely pays much tribute to them, with such a stunning composition and lovely lyrics brought to life by blissful vocals, all coming together wonderfully. I’m sure the 6 friends would be very happy listening to this, and maybe it’s happening in some way! Give it up for MelodyBrony, 4EverfreeBrony and StealingShad3z!
