Ditherer’s back with another EP, full of songs released earlier this year and a few new cuts too. These 14 tracks are all hip hop stories related to the fandom or the show, such as the opener, S7E03 Unnamed Earth Mare #1, about that one mare working behind the counter at a toy shop in that episode, and track 12, Where We Find Ourselves, a reflective song being rapped from the perspective of a brony in 2013 just after Magical Mystery Cure had aired. Of course, he’s not alone here, as many songs feature familiar guests such as Steryotype and Hay Tea as producers, plus the vocal talents of ZD, MC Arch and ShobieShy. If you love hip hop with stories and non-stop flow, this’ll be the EP for you!

Tw3Lv3 – Starlight’s Dream (feat. ShobieShy) | Hip-Hop
The real Glim Shady returns with some bars about Starlight Glimmer! Accompanied with a chilled out beat from Tw3Lv3, he goes on to tell a story about Starlight’s growth and development throughout the show in two parts: her despair and guilt behind what she had done in the past, only to realise it was all a dream and that Equestria has accepted her into their arms. All this, bridged with a sample between Luna and Glimglam, makes for a relaxed yet emotional listening session. Hats off to this duo!
MC-Arch & RoomVR – To You… | Hip-Hop
From the creative mind of MC-Arch comes a heavy-hitting hip hop track! Backed by an emotional yet driving beat made by RoomVR, Arch delivers a strong story with his endless rapid-fire flow. The message is pretty clear: he does what he does as an intense form of passion, and all to inspire people, maybe even you, the reader. Message received, Arch!
Ditherer – Story of the Blanks | Experimental Hip Hop
Master wordsmith and fussbudget Ditherer comes through with a self-produced hip hop song very befitting of the classic game it was based on, Story of the Blanks (which you can find here). The lyrics more or less follow the story of the game and feature some excellent use of imagery, along with what I think is one of the best flows Dith has come up with yet.
UndreamedPanic – Cruizin’ (feat. Kozmos) | Hip-Hop / Glitch-Hop
Panic and Kozmos team up in Cruizin’, a very groovy Spitfire tune with a lovely atmosphere of bright and clean licks and riffs giving a rather relaxed indie feel to the whole song. Kozmos’s rapping is very on point and is buttery smooth and laid back, perfectly complimenting the ‘kick-back-and-relax’ energy. Now thats not to say its all smooth sailing, as there are a couple very well laid out switchups bringing on a harsher grit with some superb breakbeats. All in all this is a superb track to listen to on a hot day, when all you want to do, is sit back and have a couple drinks.

When it comes to hip-hop. I like my rap to have some kind of a style to it. Listening to my colleague J.Free for the first time. He fits the bill. The delivery of his rhymes is hard, fast and powerful. The newly remixed beat really backs this up with a boost of aggression. The lyrics themselves are full of all kinds of pony puns. His OC daring every creature in the evergreen forest to mess with him, and all Tartarus breaking loose when he shows up a party. This Parody of Lil’ Pump’s boss is kinda wild thanks in part of AJ’s remix of J.free’s original. Fun. smack-talking hip-hop, pony style! As always, this Qilin asks you to judge for yourself.

New release by Ditherer, new exploration of a pony’s character depth or concept from the community! This one is about Princess Erroria, or the background pony that became famous because of how she appeared as an alicorn in the show out of animation error! With much dedication, our hero made a full EP around her that you can get from Bandcamp, and many guest musicians contributed. You can catch the lyrics here! Princess Erroria shall live on, thanks to very welcomed initiatives like these! Keep it up Ditherer and everypony!!

My Celestia, how could I have missed such an inspiring song in this fandom! Shame on this dragon pony. If you liked how uplifting the original was. The kind of fandom song that makes tears form in your eyes. Then Evdog adds just bit more to the mix. The lyrics are still there, but its the added Hip-Hop that makes it much more special. The new lyrics now speak for Scoots as she learned how to fly. How she never look back. However, my friends listen to those words. Those words can be used in all walks of life itself. Just picture yourself overcoming your own odds in life. The music itself has this reggae vibe to it. Delightly it fits pretty well with the uplifting mood. Hip-Hop has always been a form of music that is best when it’s done with meaning, and songs such as this are proof. Judge for yourself as always.
Vylet Pony – Shivers | Hip Hop / Jazz
The ever-creative Vylet Pony blesses us with yet another tune, this one off her recent album Love Letters: Colourless, that defies convention yet maintains her signature style (well, one of her many signature styles). This one begins as a low-key hip hop tune featuring some pleasant synth work before cranking it up to 11 and, eventually, morphing into a full-on jazz song with authentic basses, pianos, and vocals very befitting of the style. Also, Dash vocal chops! I’ll always people to check out any Vylet song, and this one is no different!

Do you know that feeling? Yes, you reading this I am talking to you! Do you know that feeling when you started to watch this pone show and everything thing started to be clear? The feeling that ya found your place. This song by Doodled & Hoofy with some swell flow of lyrics tells about that time for them. This warm feeling of remembering the time you fell in love with MLP. This beat that flows so good with the lyrics that it brings your own good memories out. Reminds me of my time I when to BC2017. It was a wonderful summer to be a brony.
