Well, everypony, the very first Equestria Girls movie might have been out for a while now (8 years!), but that doesn’t mean that we won’t still get awesome remixes of its songs! Today, I bring to you a great new remix by Lexie. This track starts out right away with the lyrics and then quickly brings in the funk. We also get this awesome bass guitar (that goes on through pretty much the entire song) followed soon by some great, funky synths and even some trumpets! Soon we get into some awesome vocal chops and a backspin effect, which I didn’t expect to hear, but it certainly increases the funk of this song! As we leave the vocal chops we get back to the normal lyrics with some more bass and some more trumpets. We end this track with some more of the great vocal chops.
This was proofread by the great theCANderson. Big thanks to him!
Remix
Daniel Ingram – Equestria Girls (Cafeteria Song) (Tw3Lv3 Remix) (feat. Blackened Blue) | House
Rubber – Let Her In (FelonOnBass Remix) | Deep House
Rubber’s song about dark and creeping Fluttershy just got an appreciated remix by FelonOnBass that takes a Deep House route to extend the concept with more Electronic wonders! Faithful to the musician’s style all while staying close to the concept of the original, the remix is taking you on new experiences in the dark!
Deavas – I’ll Fly (Covering Daniel Ingram) | Rock
Deavas strikes again with a new heartfelt pony cover, this time paying tribute to both the emotional show song I’ll Fly and a dear friend. Relationships with a pet can be quite powerful, illustrated by both this meaningful cover and the episode the song is from! Let’s rock it all out with the sound of the guitars, to the faithful departed!
Sound Bandit & Fin – U Smooze U Lose (Evershade’s Party Remix) | Hyperpop
The Smooze has been doubled! Evershade extends the fun with a “party remix” that you can play at galas in Equestria while wearing the outfit that Discord wore then! It’s definitely appreciated and Evershade did awesome with it! Come on, the night will last forever!
Vylet Pony – I Was Afraid (feat. Chi Chi & Briakitten) (SpinScissor Bootleg Remix) | Nu-Disco
(Listen to Vylet’s original here!)
So it has been established that Vylet Ponys stuff is unique in mixing and composes her music. It is one of the most significant factors in why she stands out besides making a complete package story that runs with albums.
I have to imagine that got to be a real task to remix her music into something that fits. Enter SpinScissors a-go at this. Now I never knew about the electronic genre of disco, but it got some style with the vocal chops mixture of Vylets lyrics with this groovy bumping bass and rhythm that pays just the right sound to compliment Vylets track. It’s pretty neat, and it stands out. Please have a listen. As always, This Qilin asks you to judge for yourself!
Daniel Ingram – Babs Seed (SpinScissor Remix) | Future Bass
How to be creative, pay tribute to ponies, deliver a heartfelt experience, amaze with crazy sound design, and have a deep backstory to your track all at the same time? Well if you don’t know, you could just listen to this and read all there is to learn about it from both the description and the comments, and get inspired by SpinScissor’s shining example! Spin definitely did wonders going out of his comfort zone! Get ready for a Babs Seed tribute unlike any other!

PumpkinZ – Diamonds and Spoons 2021 | Melodic Dubstep
(You can see just how far PumpkinZ has come with this remake by listening to the original here!)
Ah, this track is the perfect showcase of how far you can come in just a year. To learn for yourself, listen to the original real close. I’m sure you’ll hear the more vibrant and colorful melodies that give this track just a little more of a spark. Charming and wholesome to your ears. Your notice the keyboard too! Adding a luxurious vibe to this composition, it’s like you’re enjoying a super amazing sleepover with the reformed bullies over at Diamond’s big mansion! The vocal chops add a flavor of them having a good time with friends. This remake shows you that a musician’s talent can improve with little feedback and help from good friends (thanks TCB and JohnKenza!).
Spikey Wikey – H.O.R.S.E. (The Word Is) (Rokii Re-Remix) | Techno
(You can listen to the original track here and Rokii’s first remix here!)
RokiiDokiiLoki’s music is personally some of my favorite music composed in this fandom due to his style of creating these fascinating melodies that change their tone and emotions with each build-up to his drops. You hear this consistent beat and baseline of the track always, but he always seems to add more exciting layers and elements that keep upping the ante to the music. In his extended re-remix of H.O.R.S.E, it is no different as you listen to each of the drops; the elements and atmosphere change in a snap. Honesty, if you never heard Rokii’s stuff, this is the greatest strength of molding music to his will with just a few twinks to elements used! After the first drop, you get a more intense and bouncy feel—the mood switches after the 2nd drop. You are now treated to electric violin and crunchy elements to add to the harmonies. In the 3rd drop, you get a more vibrant and banging version of the track’s main beat that you should know from his set from the first burning mare! This is honestly Rokii’s MO, and it’s soo delightful to hear. Ohh, yeah.. the vocal chops, even those, are used in a way to set up the drops! I must also highlight the video animation that comes with this video. Little known fact: Rokii also has the talent to do his animations, so much love to him for that!
