Another P@D banger, this time a collab between two awesome guitarists and long-serving fandom musicians, SDreamExplorerS and Francis Vace. This song about the episode Spice Up Your Life starts off in an almost electro-rock way, but soon delves straight into SDES’ metal with Francis’ vocals bellowing over the top, including refrains taken from It’s Gonna Work, the song from the aforementioned episode.
Rock
[P@D] Velvet Wings & SDreamExplorerS – Little Feather | Metal
This song marks Velvet Wings’ debut in the fandom music scene, and to have one’s first song featured on a Ponies At Dawn album too is impressive! And her vocals compliment Soul Strings’ instrumental very nicely.
Lightning Collector & Melody Sky – Who I Am | Soft Rock
A lovely collaboration full of honesty, this mellow yet rocking track born from the union of the talents of Lightning Collector and Melody Sky delights with a tender rock part that feels so genuine and blissful, then some electric guitars come in to bring some more awesome along both rap and rock vocals. A much orginal and enjoyable song, and we certainly hope to hear more from such a successful duo! From Lightning Collector, I also recommend Rainbow Trash and Metal Slave and its music video full of cool rock performance… with ponies!
Thrasher – Orbit (Vylet Vocal Edit) | Metalcore
Thrasher amazed us with their P@D Voyager contribution Orbit, and the track sure didn’t go unnoticed for musical talent Vylet Pony who we don’t present anymore, who got inspired by Muse vibes from the original banger and decided to sublimate it with the incredible vocals he’s known for. This Vocal Edit will be included in the upcoming and much awaited Orbit EP from Thrasher! Be sure to sub to Thrasher to stay informed and to show your support.
Sights Unseen – The Spark (feat. Cadie) | Alternate Electronic
A new collab and duet from the ever-so-successful duo of Sights Unseen and Cadie, this Twilight-centered track gives all the Synth-Rock vibes while providing an unique progression and storytelling, filled with gorgeous vocal parts from both singers. The distant/faded aspect of the vocals definitely reflects well Twilight’s internal struggle and suppressed call as depicted by the lyrics.
PrinceWhateverer – The Fight Inside (ft. NRGpony) | Metal
Another song from his new album Reinvent, and another remake of an older classic, now featuring screams from NRGpony. I suppose it’s only appropriate that a song about Luna and her inner demons was released just before Nightmare Night. Go take a listen if you’re still in the mood for dark themes.
Nightmare Night Music Compilation!

I knew people liked making special songs for Nightmare Night, but I wasn’t quite prepared to be flooded with new music this morning. We’d never get through them all if we posted them individually, so read on for 10 fantastic Nightmare Night songs! Yes, 10!

Elias Frost – We Will Stand For Everfree (Cover) | Metal
There don’t seem to be as many songs related to the latest Equestria Girls movie yet, but luckily Elias Frost is here to put his own nordic metal spin onto things. (And if you stick around to the end you’ll hear a little surprise reprise)
Frozen Night – Fragile Existence | Orchestral Metal
NB: This was originally posted on Equestria Daily on 28 October 2016.
Frozen Night is back again with another remake of one of their older pieces, Fragile Existence. With a beautiful little piano and strings build up, epic drums start to hit 2 minutes in, instantly raising the impetus of the track. The rest of the instrumental also becomes a lot more epic, and the introduction of guitar helps to really complete the piece. If you want some epic orchestral metal, make sure to check this out!
