Francis Vace – Entropy | Punk
A bonus track on his recent EP of covers, Souvenirs, Francis originally covered this AwkwardMarina song a couple of years ago. This is a rework of that version, involving some re-recording and some re-mastering, and is one of my favourites from the EP.
Reverbrony – Red Fire (feat. BriLizy T) | Atmospheric Power Metal
Reverbrony comes in full force along with new talent BriLizy T to bring us Red Fire, a song of definitely much originality, with such an interesting genre and theme. Let yourself fall under the spell of Reverbrony’s melodies and riffs, and BriLizy’s beautiful yet powerful vocals… as the character of the story falls under the “spell” of Celestia!
Dr. Somepony – What my eyes can’t see | Prog Metal
Here’s five minutes of some fantastic instrumental metal from Dr. Somepony. Inspired by a dream about Derpy Hooves, the track is propelled forward over exciting drums through a tasteful variety of style, pacing, and direction. This sets the stage for a great exhibition of impressive guitar work, so if you’re looking for some quality metal be sure to give this a listen.
Evdog – The Artist | Ballad
Here’s the last of the tracks that Evdog has be remastering. A piano ballad stylized with some modern vocal chopping flair, this track explores the pressures that can often weigh on the minds of creatives.
Quicksilver – Sleepless | Skacore
Yo! Time to dig in to another incredible track from Quicksilver. I try to give tracks time to settle before throwing them on the scales, but this might be his best work yet. Just beautiful execution of everything across the board- this is going to be stuck in my head all day. Prince Whateverer – Constellations (Aaron MacAllister Cover) | Electronicore
Got a debut track here from guitarist Aaron MacAllister performing an instrumental cover of PrinceWhateverer’s classic. If you’re looking to learn the ropes of composition, covers and remixes are always a good start.
Zatslol – A Thousand Melodies | Soft Rock
Zatslol has produced some pretty awesome fandom tunes in the past, but his time with ponies seems to have finally run its course. The lyricism behind this track is really quite beautiful, singing about some stuff that I’m sure a lot of us musicians can relate to. Francis Vace – Fruits Of Her Labour (feat. PegasYs) | Ska
Another track from Vace’s Souvenirs album, this cover nicely re-imagines the work originally done by Glaze and StormWolf and features the awesome vocal talent of PegasYs. Check out the rest of the album if you’d like to hear more covers of some of the community’s early classics.
