Two vocal powerhouses join together to cover one of the fandom’s all-time most popular acoustic songs. I’m at a loss for words here, and whatever I say through my tear-filled eyes won’t even remotely convey how beautiful and powerful this song is. The only word that keeps coming to mind is “wow.” I’m glad that 4everfreebrony decided to make the already stunning song into a soft rock ballad and that Koa lent her exquisite voice to sing the Cadance lyrics. Both of them complement each other’s voices perfectly to create this absolutely perfect cover. [Twitter: 4everfreebrony]

Blurain – The Remaining Issue (The End) | Alt. Rock
Blurain blesses our ears once again with some Rock! This – originally unreleased – song talks about a subject that gathered quite some tears across our community: the last episode of MLP:FiM. Blurain surprised me by being able to have a dynamic, fast-paced song that also made my eyes watery! But in the end, he still reminds us that the most important is to remember the good times we had. So embark on a song that will bring you all the memories you had thanks to this fandom, while remembering you that, no matter what, the magic of friendship will never fade.
Harmony Bop – THE FIRE OF FRIENDSHIP | Progressive Metal
This is certainly a track you certainly don’t see everyday.
Harmony Bop brings us the latest addition to his series of songs focused on the princesses, this one about Twilight Sparkle. Combining deep guttural vocals and beautiful harmonies (of course) with the same fantastic vocal style you hear in his other works as well as visuals that guide the listener through this musical story, “THE FIRE OF FRIENDSHIP” could almost be compared to a symphonic metal orchestra, complete with seven unique sections perfectly blended to create an epic masterpiece chronicling best Book Horse’s journey and struggles through the series. Keep an ear out for the perfectly-blended MLP:FiM theme song, as well as verses dedicated to every villain Twilight and her friends have encountered.
This is the kind of song to make you truly appreciate friendship and the journeys you’ve taken to get to where you are today.
Blurain – Shadow on the Moon | Grunge
Blurain decided to bring the bass guitar for this one, and it was definitely justified with this awesome tune! “Shadow on the Moon” presents Celestia’s point of view after banishing Luna to the moon. The strength put into the vocals definitely shows the pain and regret the princess felt afterwards. Enjoy this song as it describes the hidden agony of being separated from your sister for a thousand years!
EveryDayDashie – Summer Forever | Upbeat Acoustic / Folk
As we entered fall, and with winter quickly approaching, there is nothing better than a song to warm our hearts in order to remember the good times we had in summer – And that’s exactly what EveryDayDashie did with their song “Summer Forever”! The vibes definitely made me feel like relaxing on a beach while enjoying the warmth of the sun. This release brings a smile to my face thanks to its acoustic vibes and powerful beats. Enjoy the sunshine that this song provides, especially during those chilly days!
El Nulevoe – Power Metal Cartoon Horse 3: The Metalling | Metal
El Nulevoe is back with the third installment in the Power Metal Cartoon Horse series! This one is much more brooding than the others, starting with deep and dark guitar riffs and developing intensity with its high pitched synth. The vocals are as strong and fierce as ever despite them describing the woes of Celestia’s kingdom destroyed by battles in previous songs. It’s still as zany as ever too, with its epic scream and snarky, self-aware subtitles.
Blackened Blue – Bring You Back (feat. Celica Soldream) | Nu-Metal
Blackened Blue blesses us with another banger! This time with a song about Trixie’s distress after losing someone close. Not only does it contain a collab with Celica Soldream – which gave me literal chills due to how well their voices sound together – but the whole rhythm and strength of the guitar, as well as the other instruments, clearly expresses the pain and sadness felt after a grief. Embark on a song that transforms the shadows of grief into a literal anthem of resilience!
Blurain – A Letter to my Worst Friends, and my Best Enemies (Covering Biscuit) | Metal
Content Warning: Suicide and Profanity
Blurain has been making punk and alternative hits for a little while now, and he’s taken that sound and gone even harder! Blurain understands the emotional depth of A Letter to my Worst Friends, and my Best Enemies, Biscuit’s demonstration of pain based on letters he wrote to himself during multiple difficult times in his life. The added video Blurain incorporates allows him to demonstrate his own interpretation of the emotional weight of Biscuit’s message through his own performance.
Anamore – Hoof to Heart Forever | Symphonic Rock
The G5 music train keeps on rolling with this song inspired by A New Generation from Anamore! It’s actually a new version of an older song of hers, now with her own lyrics and vocals and a re-worked instrumental with an eclectic mix of stylistic influences. Check it out if you need something with an uplifting feel or a reminder that friendship is forever!
Jeff Burgess & Sole Screwdriver – Birds of Paradise | Pop Rock
It’s always great hearing a new track by Jeff Burgess, especially one that is his first original track in about a year, and one of a few new pony-related tracks released in the past half decade or so. Joined by his friend, Sole Screwdriver, “Birds of Paradise” is a very airy & easy to listen to track with a light, yet energetic acoustic guitar leading the instrumentation. Jeff’s vocals are the cherry on top, showcasing that same amazing talent that creates that signature emotion behind all of his music. We’re going to be missing you for the next four years, Jeff. Hope all goes well with the Air Force. We can’t wait to hear what amazing music you’ll create when you’re back!
