The king of pony ska punk is back at it with this standout track from the newest Ponies at Dawn: Eternal compilation album. My Rainbow Horse And Me is a comedic narrative about Rainbow Dash appearing out of the tv and living as a lazy roommate. Ponyville Ciderfest – 2019 Official Convention Album | Compilation Album | Multi-Genre

Ponyville Ciderfest, the MLP:FiM convention coming up this week in Milwaukee, Wisconsin has just released a new compilation album featuring many of the musicians that will perform at the big concert! This year, the convention is holiday-themed and several of the songs on this album are new or remastered holiday tracks! The range of music is extremely diverse and flows very nicely from start to finish. Here are just a few of the many highlights on the album.

The first track is an unreleased song from Vocal Score and really sets the stage for the whole CD. Extremely festive and flowing beautifully into The Heart Carol from the original Hearth’s Warming Episode.

Prince Whateverer makes a few appearances on the Holiday Album, most notably with his new metal cover of the classic, Nightmare Night. John Kenza and loophoof, who will be performing a back-2-back together, feature remixes of each other’s songs. Galen of the Wonderbolts band and Brilliant Venture release brand new holiday hits. MC Arch also has a brand new and powerful track entitled Oathkeeper.

Other well-recognized names include 4everfreebrony, Black Gryph0n and Baasik, JoinedTheHerd with CadetRedShirt, Seventh Element, Nevermourn & TCB, MelodyBrony, Francis Vace, and more!

All proceeds go to Generations Against Bullying – the Ciderfest charity which aims to reduce childhood bullying through research and education, so be sure to help out if you can!

Age of Vinyl – Heroes of the Sky (Hay Tea Remix) | Liquid Drum & Bass

A wonderful re-work of Age of Vinyl’s original featured on Ponies at Dawn’s Skyward, Hay Tea shows off his talent for creating incredibly satisfying drum & bass basslines and creating an enveloping atmosphere. This track takes the motifs of the original and is a more ethereal, direct, and punchy imagining, contrasting with the original’s serenity. Nonetheless, both complement each other beautifully and this Drumscape Library exclusive is sure to show up in your playlists soon!

TCB – NOTHING IS FOREVER (2019) | Future Bass

TCB pours a lot of emotion into this rendition of NOTHING IS FOREVER. A very reflective and melancholic piece filled with a myriad of vocal chops and a tense, but heart warming atmosphere. The second half of the song makes a great use of complex arpeggios and a solid break beat and is an excellent switch up that still carries its vibe and message and is a unique and wonderful track!

Retrospective nostalgia is embedded in this ambient piece celebrating the Friendship is Magic series for its long run. The soothing pads, the crisp atmosphere and the soft, Eastern percussion really carries an adventurous and mysterious vibe to it as Twilight wishes for us to remain good as we travel into the unknown.

Osoch – Gimme R D (Covering ismBoF) | Metal

Inspired in his early fandom days by IsmBoF’s original, Osoch has developed his skills greatly in the years following and created the arguably definitive version of Gimme R D! Just about everything, from the guitar tones to the varied percussion, has been refined but nowhere does it lose the soul of the classic original song. Another wonderful addition to the Osoch catalog!

Rod Steven – The Magic of Friendship Grows (covering Daniel Ingram) | Eurobeat

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again; the singing voices of MLP were meant for EDM. Rod Steven’s been doing a great job at continuing the legacy of Odyssey Eurobeat, and it shows with this remix of The Magic of Friendship Grows. All throughout the song are the elements you’d expect in a Eurobeat song, such as the bouncy synth riffs and stabs, upbeat tempo and offbeat bass. The magic of Eurobeat grows!
