Using his drum knowledge and trying some new things with his EDM experiments. He tells of his dream of making a cake with Pinkie Pie. With some nice work with the Drumbeats bending with the mellow and adorable D&B beats. It’s a wholesome track that is simple and so much texture to its many layers. If there ever was a song to view an intresting take on a dream about life, and an encrypted message about Brilliant Venture’s (with a bit of help from his other alias Wrillez Basics) experiences in the fandom, it would be this one. The heart and soul of this track show how close Venture is to his beloved grandmother who is a musician herself, and the journey of remaking this breathtakingly atmospheric track with melodies and tones for the setting of this track. But it’s the message found in this track that really sells it. Looking for yourself in a lost broken city. The symbolism is very good in this track. More pony metal sure thing! Blackened Blue is back with his 2nd single off his EP,in which you can listen to and read my article here. Has anyone ever tried to make a Metal track about Rarity of all ponies? It hasn’t happened much until now. Falling Away is a throwback to thelate 90’s Thrash and Nu Metal scenes where bands were trying different things and styles. The take very much reminds me of bands like Trust Company. As I said in my article for the EP. This song is about Rarity being trapped in her workaholic ways with very little time for even a trip to get her hooves done or have a girls day out with the other mane 6 when the world is not about to end!. Her frustrations told through blacknend vocals, her emotions through the power of metal!. It’s such a creative take on Rarity that we all can relate too. This mare works too hard. Daniel Ingram – Find a Way (Snow Swirl Remix) | Drum & Bass
This fandom continues to inspire people to try creating something. Experimenting with ideas to try to mold their craft into their identity. Please welcome Snow Swirl. The project? Remixing Daniel Ingram’s “Find a Way” from the season 3 finale. Drum&Bass is the genre at hand. There are some nice things going on here with the use of the melodies to heighten Twilight’s emotions of restoring her friends to normal. and the use of the vocal chops of twilight realizing she knew how to fix this to aid with the story telling. It’s a nice start that like any new musician has room to grow and improve. Yes, overall production needs work. But I encourage us to support Snow Swirl as this was a good effort and it shows this remix was nice. Give some brony love to this musician. I hear talent in this track. Burning Gryphon – Deevoted To Dee Artist | Pop Punk
WE have a brand new member to join the brony punk rock family. Everyone, this is Burning Gryphon. Please give him a warm welcome. Because he has some pretty good music making talent. What a nice way to show off your talent by making a tribute to a fellow artist that has inspired him to do better things. This song at it core has the grungy hard nosed dirty guitar work. Plus the pace that most punk rock fans will love and will know right away when they hear it. The drums and bass are there loud and clear. His vocals are full of love and heart as it should be. Burning Gryphon is lovely in his singing to the brony artist known as Dripponi. Who helped mold him into the person he is today. His lyrics fondly showcase that devotion in this hard and fast punk rock ballad. Give this guy a follow on his youtube channel, he’s just getting started. Koron Korak – Twilight gets Help from Starlight | Soft Techno
With the pandemic going on in the world. Bronies are stuck at home. Some have little more time on their hands then others. That means bored bronies are making meme’s. More so Koron here is catching up on later seasons of FiM. He finishes season 6. A talented musician then does as bronies who are bored do. Make a meme with music! But why is it a meme? Koron brings you an infinite gif, (please see video LOL) . With this meme it has some nice elements to it. It has some very nice keyboard and synthesizing effects for a melody that reminds me of a soft techno theme. There are some catchy effects that will make you giggle a little. All of this for a meme about starlight using her multiplying spell , going with the rhythm of walking down stairs just because it’s funny and cute but why LOL Koron explains more in the video’s description about the inspiration for making this tune. AJ, like it or not, is an awesome character. But can a song about her say that better? How about some soulful country rock? Leave it to the man that can do it all musically. 4everfreebrony. He takes Kenny Wayne Shepherd “Blue on Black” and ponifide’s it into a preview single of his upcoming parody album. The song frankly hits applejack right to her core as a character. The lyrics are simple but sound. The transition of the melodies in this is smooth and clean. Specially the guitar solos that are done spot on from the original and adds the rock elements to this smooth country flavor. This song is a goodie for all you Applejack lovers out there. PrinceWhateverer – Odds Against Us (feat. Sable Symphony) | Rock
PrinceWhateverer my friends doesn’t just make hard hitting headbangers all the time. He also has the knack for making heart warming rock and roll from time to time. Odds against us, tells the story of Retro City, A song commissioned for a friend’s OC. Retro is fighting her own demons that stand in her way of becoming a wonderbolt. But she is not alone. Prince wonderfully has put a tune together that tells fell good tale of over coming the odds. The lyric may be talking about Retro’s bound with Spitfire and how she doesn’t have to take this on alone. But message could be anyone’s fight for there dreams. The guitars, drums and composition are all there in Prince’s style to aid in in telling this tale. We all need to smile right now with chaos going on in the world. Feel good tales are needed. SP1TF1R3 – The Sphinx Awakens – Hybrid Trap
We hear so much about Somnambila’s tale with her encounter with the Sphinx. But does anyone just focus on the Sphinx itself? You’re in luck. I give you SP1TF1R3, This track has more of the focus on how evil and nasty the Sphinx is. The melodies here are a mix of some Egyptians themes with some strong synthing of dramatic melodies to create tension of dealing with this evil presence. Its a real shame that this track did not make it on P@D. It really does create an image of dealing with this monster first hand. Presentation is wonderful here. Royalpony – Never Alone | HardStyle
I still have a lot to learn about who makes music still in this fandom. Its rich history of musicians. I just learned that about Royalpony. This being my first time hearing his content. I’ve learned he’s been around since 2014-15. Well better late than never because this track was a great intro into his style of EDM. Never Alone is a haunting track with very grim melodies about being so isolated in times like now. Dealing with the pandemic we all face today. The theme has the emotional feeling of being scared, alone and unsure. When it kicks into the hardstyle it reminds us that like Fluttershy, we are never alone. That this fandom can count on each other. It is strangely a proper track for the timing of its release. Do you feel the same? As always. This Qilin asks you to judge for yourself.
