A new gem from Tw3Lv3’s album Release has been … released, incidentally serving as ponyfication of Chet Baker’s cover of I fall in love too easily. By including Cadance’s line from S02E26 A Canterlot Wedding which the title bears, the original meaning changes and by giving it a lo-fi spin so does the genre. Keeping jazzy inspirations and adding a delicate bassline works wonders as both genres find roots in blues, and will make you want to chillax while pondering about the mysteries of love.

[P@D] Hay Tea & Tripon – Trail Of Shade | Neurofunk
While the two musicians have been known to work in conjunction on various projects for quite some time, this is their first actual collab. Released as part of Ponies at Dawn Eternal, Hay Tea and Tripon‘s intricate track narrates a story set in a cyberpunk Manehattan. The ominous horns create a nightmarish atmosphere but are simultaneously satisfying, and the heavy use of reverb gives them the feel of being heard in dark empty streets amidst tall sky scrapers. The richness and complexity of the drum pattern makes it sound ever faster-paced and gives a sense of tension, or even panic. Don’t let it catch you.
BassPon3 – Life Goes On | Hands Up
Just the beginning plucks in this song should be enough for this dance tune to pull you into its dreamy nature. Soon afterward the reverie of an intro, there are offbeat basses and gated saws playing the song’s catchy main melody. And don’t miss out on the trancey interlude, characterized by a modulating synth backed by even more basses! It’s easy to find yourself hitting replay with this spatial dance piece, so don’t miss out!
SweetF1RE – AppleBlood [2019 Remix] | Dubstep
The Russian brony scene is home to some of the most dedicate fans in the entire fandom. SweetF1RE’s remix of his own track AppleBlood is a creepy Russian language banger that features heavy dubstep basslines alongside creepy music box style synths and SweetF1RE’s deep, gravely voice to make a Nightmare Night piece that’ll be sure to creep you out! Feryl DeMarco – Dream Hopping | Downtempo
This song… I don’t even know how to classify it… Feryl DeMarco’s back with her second single, and while it’s definitely a lot less hectic in comparison to her last track, this one definitely has a unique choppy flair. Borrowing elements from trip hop, ambient and R&B among other genres, Feryl’s successfully created the audio equivalent of wandering around in Luna’s dream realm as she hops from dream to dream of Equestria’s inhabitants. Definitely something to relax to!
Tw3Lv3 & Power Note – What If We’ve Met on the Pony Town Bridge | Lo-fi / Synthwave
Tw3Lv3 wanted to bring more lo-fi in the community and has arguably achieved that very goal. This time it is a cute collab with Lorris Power Note featured on Release, Tw3Lv3’s album you surely have heard of. The track is very rich, borrowing elements from various genres, including hip-hop, trap and vaporwave backed up with a vinyl background noise. Chip-tune and video-game inspiration fits nicely the adorable very short story told by the title and visuals.
Sim Gretina – Where The Rich Ponies Go (Ricardofr-200 Remix) | House
Unexpected remixes of classics are awesome, and this time Ricardo treats us to a very bouncy and classy remix of a classic from Sim Gretina that shall never be forgotten! The original vocals are echoing again in this brand new electronic arrangement, and it just feels so nostalgic!
Daniel Ingram – The Magic of Friendship Grows (Sam Quak Brony Remix) | Tropical House
I would be lying if I said i didn’t shed a tear while listening to this remix. This remix of the final song of the show takes the already great song and makes it greater, with the original lyrics now being set to electronic music that perfectly reflects the whole feel of the song. It’s definitely a wonderful track!
The Empty Tomb – Emotions | Lo-fi
“Emotions” is right. The Empty Tomb keeps coming out with new releases, and this one might be their best yet. The track is centred around a filtered sample of what could either be a guitar or a piano set to a smooth beat accented by the sound of water droplets and a moving body of water. While it may be short, there’s nothing but melancholy lo-fi goodness to be found here.
Tw3Lv3 – Release | Album | Lo-fi
The debut album from the fandom’s lo-fi giant Tw3Lv3 is finally here! It has 20 tracks, some of which will be familiar if you follow his channel, such as Old Vibes, Starlight’s Dream, Canterlot Suburb, Tsukimi and so on. Quite a few of the songs are collabs with other producers, such as TheTaze, Steryotype, Power Note and Astral. A couple guest vocalists also appear, such as ShobieShy on the vocal version of Starlight’s Dream, and MC Arch on the closing track I Will Still Think About You. Standout tracks are Memorias for its catchiness, Autumn Breeze (featuring The Empty Tomb) because of the chilled out nature, as well as the aforementioned Tsukimi, Under the Rain and I Will Still Think About You, which displays Arch’s singing abilities really well! Overall, this album is nothing short of fantastic, and an amazing debut that’s well worth the wait. Pick it up when you can!
