Not content with just one small remix, Midnight Wave has taken another spin on Tw3Lv3’s super collab from 2020. And clearly one genre wasn’t enough either! As it transitions from verse to drop, this remix picks up the pace from a perky house beat and falls into a supercharged drum & bass section. It’s a great use of tempo changes and worth a listen if you typically enjoy either genre!

Sparklight Productions – Paradox | Electronic EP
8 months in the making, Sparklight Productions presents their debut EP! This collection of 7 songs flows together with a unifying soundscape blending chillout, trap and lo-fi elements. Each one of the songs also represents a different aspect of mental health, and Sparklight’s goal with this project has been not only to document and express their own progression and stages of their journey, but also to break the stigma that still surrounds mental illness for many people.
You can find our previous articles on some of these songs here: Eclipse, Find Yourself, Opening My Wounds and Through The Night all feature.
ALostCarolean – The Last Survivor | Darksynth / Industrial
Flying out of the gate at full throttle, this track won’t even give you a second before it hits you with everything it has! ALostCarolean as been drip feeding their darksynth EP “The Hive” over the past couple months and The Last Survivor is no slouch of a song. Nailing the retro feel, high octane energy, and dark atmosphere of the genre this track has everything from icy pads to metal-esque saw chords and all the sounds you love to hear in a high speed cyberpunk genre! Definitely give this a listen if you’re just finding out about it now as well as the other two tracks in the playlist.

EveryDayDashie – Mane Melody Nightclub 2.0 | Trance
When one version of a song isn’t enough pony, pony gotta pony some more! This rework of Dashie’s nightclub theme sees him bring together several different styles and influences; not just the electronic sounds of trance and electro, but pianos and saxes playing solos with jazz harmony. Didn’t think I’d ever see that combination, but it works really well to create a lively and danceable piece!

Continue readingALostCarolean – Invasion | Darksynth
As the sirens, the first shots, and the first stones crumble and collapse, the Invasion begins. And so, begins ALostCarolean’s track, bringing us a massive darksynth song! I like the contrast of this song, something grimdark is happening. but throughout the melody you hear both hope and determination, to make things right. Such is the tragedy of war, I suppose. The flow of this tune is really smooth where it needs to be, and so it is regarding the intensity. There’s even a nice bit of guitar work in this! So You WILL, absolutely go hard on this. I am happy this track got to invade my speakers and got my attention!

One Track Mind, delivers us a very, very intriguing Yona track. I find it ironic how this is a composition that was simply manifested out of nowhere, yet I find a very bittersweet feeling as mentioned in the comments. As if Yona and/or you are looking at a very bittersweet memory with a smile on your face and reminiscing about it. That’s just how I see it, but maybe One Track mind had something else…in mind (no pun intended I swear). But that’s what I like about writing specific articles for musical pieces such as these; to let the listener speak for themselves on what they think about it, and let them draw their own conclusions.
