Oh boy! Has Tw3Lv3 done something incredible with this remix. The melodies infused with movie scores are addicting to listen to! Tw3lv3, like she always does, inject some positive and chill vibes into this song. The music grooves so much with sunny’s message of unity and her quest for renewed friendships as she skates along. You feel there with her with this stylish beat and it brings a smile to your face, reinforcing the message of “gonna be my day!” especially with how that phrase is looped, as melodies get more positive and epic. You can not help but want to listen to this remix because you feel so good after hearing it! Well, Tw3Lv3, you sure have done it again with your talent and a nice touch of the movie clips; as always, this Qilin asks you to judge for yourself.
House
Daniel Ingram – Raise This Barn (Vale & Fl0 Remix) | Bass House
What a dark, groovy, pumped up remix! The track opens with a slick beat and distorted vocals to form the melody, which sets the tone nicely (along with the great background art!). Then the main vocals kick in, and they’ve been tweaked just enough to fit the atmosphere of the track. The buildup and the drop really get things bucking with some encouragement from Applejack courtesy of a distorted vocal chop and some really nice sound design and tasty bass. I’d bet my bits that this barn comes with an above average number of speakers and party lights!
Sofia Carson – Glowin’ Up (Enermatrix Remix) | House
Enermatrix is back! After a 4 year hiatus, Enermatrix is back to remixing, and how better to celebrate such a return then with a G5 remix! The track starts out with vocals and an awesome, upbeat drum build up before we head straight into the amazing melodies. At the beginning the drum loop shines through a lot, really supporting the vocals, and then for the build up we get some more awesome drums. And then the drop–oh, the drop! It’s an upbeat beat firework that fits really well with the chipper mood of the original. The song then takes one big risk that I rarely give songs credit for: the drop doesn’t really calm down, but between the end of the drop one and the next build up we get this spiced up version of the beginning. The second drop is just as amazing as the first, and I could sit here for hours telling you how great both drops are (like how they work together with the vocals instead of blowing over them or hiding behind them), but I think you get the picture. Finally, in one last, perfect connection with the vocals, the song, instrumental and all, stops right along with them.

Senntenial – Bronies are Weird (Likonan Remix) | Progressive House
Likonan is back again after dropping an absolute banger with their “The Riddle” parody, and now they’ve gone all the way back in time to Senntenial’s “Bronies are Weird” and turned it into this banger of a remix! The instrumental is full of fun effects and great melodies that are simply too good to fully appreciate in a single listen! The vocals have some great effects applied to them which creates a really fun combination with the synths. While in some songs the lyrics, especially in the drop, tend to stick out from the instrumental a lot, this song combines both into a harmony of greatness!

Ardhy Mahardhy – Through Space and Time | Progressive House / Trance
The season 5 finale of “Friendship is Magic” follows Twilight and Spike on an epic journey through time and space to oppose Starlight and save the world. Ardhy Mahardhy has set out to capture this adventure in song form. An up-tempo melody played on a fun synth is complimented by a driving beat propelled by muted drums. Urgent sounds of time fleeing like a runaway train permeate the midsection, and I felt a sense of flying through time and space in a shower of a glittering lights. The overall effect is a feeling of time rushing towards an epic outcome as worlds collide and destinies are determined. This piece really lives up to its name as it carries the listener on an interstellar journey “through space and time!”
[Equinity] SP1TF1R3 – Pretentious | Future Bounce
If Sunny and her friends ever find out about Trixie, then this song is a pretty good reminder of her character! What a pound and pulse of this track bassline. The fusion of sounds of Melbourne bouse with some flavor of Future Bass! Oh boy, we may have stepped into the new era of My Little Pony, But the bangers from compilations like the newly released Equinity: 05 are still kicking some flank. The vibe of this track flows with the old-school season one Trixie. The vocal chops with the uptempo bounce scream the heelish “I’m better than you” vibe of classic Trixie Lunamoon. The title of this song is perfect! As always, this Qilin asks you to judge for yourself. I got to say be ready for more love than ever for the ponies of generation 4 and 5.
PhonyBrony & Feather – I’ll Show You my Loyalty (Aventrix Remix) | Progressive House
(Listen to the original here)
Don’t worry, my friends, this Qilin has not left you or this music scene. I just needed to regroup before getting back into the swing of things!
I come to you with quite the track for my first article in months, A classic remix of one of Feather’s list of the memorable Rainbow Dash tracks she has been a part of in the early days of the fandom. Aventrix takes PhonyBrony lively mix and switches the emotion to something more dreamlike, almost trance vibes to channel Rainbow Dash’s very spirit of loyally and always will be the heart of many bronies even into generation 5. The harmonies fuel the way feather sings those all too powerful vocals of friendship in generation 4. I promise you all, its exciting times for the brony music scene where remixes such as these from the early days of the fandom will mean so much more to fans of this pony music scene with two generations of pony to see new wonders of creativity. Aventrix, I know this song is weeks old, but the timing of this remix could not be better as it is a reminder to remember how we all got here. The lyrics mean more because ponies like Rainbow Dash will always be special. Onward to more fantastic music from this fandom! As always, this Qilin asks you to judge for yourself.
Vylet Pony – ANTONYMPH (Evershade Remix) | House
Evershade takes on one of the biggest songs of the year with this sweet remix! This version launches straight into the vocals with in-your-face percussion, then adds in new synths that put a fun twist on the original and give the song a pulsing delivery. I enjoyed the switched up Fluttershy chops, and using the bouncy synth line that opens the original in other parts of the song was a nice touch as well. The original vocals are used creatively throughout, getting chopped around and used to build a nice chorus harmony in parts, and they sound clean despite being sped up. Overall this is a really well-made remix and a great tribute to the original!
Glimm x Khaliber & DJ Skystorm – Izzy Pop (Dropper Vampire & Varexis Remix) | Big Room House / Electro House
In case you hadn’t heard about it before, Glimm, Khaliber, and DJ Skystorm held a remix contest for their song “Izzy Pop“, and some fantastic artists got on board! Then they made the whole thing avaliable for free on Bandcamp! Legends. Speaking of legends, you’ve probably heard a few tracks from Dropper Vampire and Varexis before, and for good reason. The two super skilled artists created this awesome collaboration, which sounds like it’s being pumped from the speakers of Equestria’s hottest club! The fantastic vocals and melody from the original are carried over here, and the backing instrumental is pumped full of dark, vibrant energy, creating a lively and highly danceable soundscape. Great effects and sound design throughout meld perfectly with synths and dialed in bass to create a super satisfying remix. Check it out and get your day pumping!
BlueBrony – Rush Hour Cadence | Nu-Disco
In the third installment of his princess-themed album, “The Princess Cycle,” BlueBrony presents “Rush Hour Cadence” – a funky, upbeat disco track inspired by the princess of love. A short intro with some fun plucks on the electric guitar quickly leads to an up-tempo drop with some funky disco sound design that periodically pulls back to make room for some smooth vocals. An interesting end to the piece is created by sounds reminiscent of a phonograph of yesteryear that slowly fades out. There’s even the sound of a record disc being popped out as the music comes to an end. Featuring plenty of horns, guitar, and fun synths, this track feels like a refreshing blast from the past with a modern twist. Be sure to check out this fun piece, as well as the other princess-themed tracks on BlueBrony’s newest album, “The Princess Cycle.”
