The dynamic duo of Prince Whateverer and Sable Symphony teamed up with some other big talent in Jyc Row and MantaTsubasa to bring a face-meltingly epic metal cover of Tempest’s movie anthem. Using Jyc Row’s expert orchestration and Whateverer’s always excellent vocals combined with Sable’s complimentary harmonies, this cover brings a lot of energy and drive to the villain song we all love. Singing a solo during the interlude, MantaTsubasa adds an extra layer of dimension to the cover track with her extremely well-executed, hauntingly near-insane vocals.

AndNoOneDriving – Bitter Daybreaker | Post Rock
The second of AndNoOneDriving’s recent Post Rock ventures, this progressive piece is about Celestia and a part of her character depth that many have pondered about already – a potential thirst for power, and using all that powerful magic sealed within. The advent of Daybreaker (despite only in a dream) in S07E10 A Royal Problem caused a paradigm shift for some, and the inspiration it gave to the community won’t fade for a while. Bitter Daybreaker is another proof of that, with heavy guitars and epic melodies hinting at a possible power outbreak from the Princess of the Sun, and delivering one amazing musical experience much fitting to its concept.

AndNoOneDriving – Wind to the Wing | Post Rock
Being inspired by Post Rock gigs at a pony convention, and several pony themes, AndNoOneDriving wrote amazing and meaningful Post Rock tracks of his own and this is the first of them! Paying tribute to Scootaloo’s very relatable character depth and feelings (for me too), Wind to the Wing is an incredible progressive piece featuring both soft parts of blissful guitar melodies, and heavier parts expressing feelings with the power of rock music! The bass play is delightful as well and perhaps it’s no coincidence given that “Scootabass” Scootaloo is often portrayed playing a bass guitar in fanarts. Wind to the Wing is definitely a masterpiece, to enjoy over and over again!

Elias Frost – Acadeca (Covering Daniel Ingram) | Metal
YOOOOOO I love this ELIAS AAAAAAAAAAAAA MY HOMEY THIS IS THE SHIT RIGHT HERE MAN! ❤ LOVE IT!!! Seriously, we got nothing on your awesome cover and guitar work bro. You remind me alot of System of a Down. You collabing with Serj Tankian would be be really cool! EQG’s Nothing on us was indeed a nice song to cover and I think that its really well done! I love your guitar play btw. Its something I always love seeing return in the fandom yknow. ❤ everybody show some love man! Elias keep it up homey we love you.
Sable Symphony – When Dawn Turns to Dusk | Progressive Metal
I’m honestly more and more impressed every time Sable puts out a new song. They’re constantly improving on their technical skill when it comes to recording and mixing songs – everything sounds so clear, and I’ve not even started on the performance itself! I love slightly more complex time signatures and all that jazz, so I was hooked from the intro. It was a pleasant surprise to see that Luck Rock wrote the lyrics to this – the combo of Luck’s writing and Sable’s performance was something I never anticipated but works so well!
Funny thing is, I’m not even a particularly big metal fan, I just enjoyed this so much! 👏👏👏
Osoch – Blast! | Metal
This song is so much fun to listen to! Based off of the new toy Hasbro revealed that has gained a lot of popularity, Osoch wrote this driving instrumental track that makes you feel like you are taking off on a rocket with Starlight and Trixie. With an accelerated tempo, crispy, crunchy guitars, and a great beat, Blast! makes for a great rock song!
Elias Frost – Raise This Barn (Finnish Metal Cover) | Metal
Here’s an interesting take on “Raise This Barn”: it’s a metal cover in the Finnish language! Sure, it’s different, especially to the Western area of the world, but it’s well-put together. The lyrics are on the top of the beat; the recordings are high quality; and the mixing is clean. Nice job making it all fit nicely, Elias Frost!
Elias Frost – Monday Blues (Covering John Boyd) | Metal
Once again Elias Frost has covered a classic Equestria Girls song, and done an amazing job of it, especially with the guitar work! Keeping with the original theme, the song has a very “Monday morning” feel to it. I can see myself blasting this through my car stereo at the start of the week. The metal adaptation fits really well and Elias has done an excellent job bringing it to life. Well done mate, I’m keen for more!
One Track Mind – Hush | Electronicore
One Track Mind has definitely some of the most creative musical visions out there, and now to our great delight an impressive Electronicore track has been crafted with much inventivity! Bringing much Metal vibes with harsh and tasty riffs, while still having lots of Electronic elements in its arrangement, it delivers Flutterbat’s take on the Hush Now Lullaby song… with heavy headbangable greatness!
Blackened Blue – Dark Secret | Alternative Metal
Blackened Blue has been around for a while, but this is their first original release in nearly a year, and it’s great to see musicians getting back into the swing of things by releasing new music. This new song based on the story of Luna and her Tantabus has a great metalcore sort of vibe with its punchy, fast-paced drums and fantastic riffs!
