Elias Frost is back with another show cover, this time of Celestia’s Ballad. For the most part it’s a pretty chilled out and focuses on some soft instrumentation and Elias’ vocals, but it gets a bit metal towards the end where there’s an instrumental solo. The vocals here suit his voice really well, as whilst the original came across relatively motherly in tone, this certainly has a similarly fatherly feel to it.

Today is Hearts and Hooves Day / Valentines Day. It is traditionally speaking, a day for lovers, but it has the potential to be more. On Saturday, Bronies for Good’s seventh charity album, A Change of Heart, was released. The project was the result of months of work from talented musicians artists and organizers, and the release party raised over a thousand dollars in just a few hours!

Here we’ve got an amazing piece from Night Blaze and KennyDash that just feels like the perfect comfy BGM to have playing in the background of such a tender scene depicted by the cover art. The musicians do an awesome job at keeping a great progression and coming up with very OST-like melodies, even delivering an emotional guitar part further on. A real bliss!
Those who know me know that I’m a huge lover of Nature, and music, and OST, so tracks like these are just my weakness. It starts in a musical “sunny forest” theme of incredible beauty that is just so soothing, just like ambling inside a forest would. It uses winds and mandolin that are perfect for the job, and it is also subtly reminiscing of works from composers such as Motoi Sakuraba, like the fittingly-named Relaxing Place. The track then progresses into a deeper, darker part with strings, reflecting adventuring further down the tree-shadowed paths in the forest. The calm winds melodies certainly convey very well that sense of wonder and feeling at peace with the world around you, while the strings are keeping that adventurous, exploration spirit up. The next part is giving a very regal and gorgeous mood, fitting for a forest’s untold beauty and the due respect we are bound to give it. The piece ends in a finale softly completing the musical experience of the blissful “walk”. The whole track is paying much tribute to Nature in a delightful musical way, and I can’t thank the musicians enough for their awesome work creating such amazing music that hits me spot on. Here’s a song with a very emotional meaning and story, perfectly conveyed by the instrumental and the vocals, that are also much emotional. It is emphasizing on the character depth of Bon Bon, as she had to hide her true identity and secret activity from her best friend, Lyra. Reminiscing of similar situations in movies like Nikita, perhaps the emotions expressed through the song could also resonate with you on some other level. We may not be inside a spy movie, but certainly there are other situations when you have an activity that you wish you could share with a beloved one. A much welcomed song full of depth from Indie Notes indeed, that is part of his album Under Equestria’s Skies available for sale on his Bandcamp.
Some songs just seem to magically trigger otherworldly emotions out of you, and this is one of those that just does for me. It’s something you can’t really explain, but it is definitely a token of our potential to feel the full power of music, which is so powerful that it may actually be considered “magic”. Definitely a very potent one among those “wizards”, GhostXb wrote a lullaby chanted among those sisterly relationships from the show that we love, and it is starring Angel Love‘s oustanding vocals, that are just as literally divine as the instrumental backing them up. Truly, words have never been so powerless to describe the incredible experience that this track can provide, and I know I just wouldn’t be able to do it justice. It’s just something else. I’ll just say that the moment at 1:21 is the most powerful one for me and that it makes me feel things that are out of this world. Thank you, GhostXb and Angel Love, for these emotions and for the stunning work that you did!!
The creative power of music is unlimited, and it’s even better when it’s conveying a heartfelt message, and here we’ve got a fine example of both! Using the original track Babs Trust No One from Vinxis featuring Albatross and Risen, Buffalo Brony went and imbued the track with not only brand new rap vocals of much quality, but also a deep meaning and message about looking further into the inner working of a bully’s mind in order to understand what hidden experiences may actually be the cause of it. And nopony’s better to showcase that message than Babs Seed!
An awesome tribute to Starlight and Sunburst’s character depth, this wonderful duet from VocalScorePony and Scarlet Harmony resonates with passion, as inspired vocals from both vocalists complete each other along a beautiful instrumental. Definitely a song with much emotion in it!
Time for another YouTube release of a song from The Shake Ups’ latest album Rock Candy! (Which I would like to remind you is available as a physical CD on their cdbaby page, and in import, too! And it’s pretty slick, I grabbed it myself.) A Twilight-themed track and a favorite of the band, All Aboard the Friend-ship! conveys so well the unique traits of the signature pony Power Pop genre that the band is known for. The sweet and very MLP-ish lead vocals from “Twi-Fi Sparklecaster” Patrick O’Connor are melting the heart, while the friendly and just as Equestria-worthy instrumental contributes even further to make this track such a sugary condensed of pony-powered happiness in musical format. MC-Arch has got to have the most genuine, heartfelt and meaningful vocals and lyrics that I’ve seen in the community ever since I became a brony, and that sure has moved me when I discovered his channel a while back. I knew it was only a matter of time until he’d get more exposure, and I’m very happy to present you today an actual remix of his song Acceptance (You are Not Alone) from none other than Hay Tea! Paying much tribute to the incredible heart put into MC-Arch’s vocals and what they mean to him, this remix lays out the message of the song with a brand new instrumental, and it is with much delight that we re-discover (or discover for some of you) the original vocals along this fresh Hip-Hop beat of many facets.
