I just love songs representing a character like this, you can feel how the sound and melodies are portraying the pony, and what thoughts the musician had while composing the piece! The flute is definitely very fitting for Fluttershy, and these Flutterdreams sound so mellow and comfy, just like the kind of world that she would imagine, filled with kindness!

James Kelly, SkyBolt & Inky Notebook – Daunting Future (Fallout Equestria Dead Tree Outro Theme) | Soundtrack
Multi-media fan works are always so awesome, especially when they’re also group collabs with friends! For the series of audiobooks/dramas “Fallout Equestria Dead Tree” on the channel, Shotgun Angel Productions released this outro song that gathers the vocal talents of SkyBolt and Inky Notebook from the Traveling Pony Museum, as well as the compositional prowess of James Kelly of East Corp Productions! Everypony coming together to create fan works like these makes me so happy!!
ShobieShy – Blinded By Love | Hip-hop
[Content & Profanity Warning!]
The Real Glim Shady is back at it with a story of getting duped by a changeling. ShobieShy always brings a little something new with each track and Blinded By Love uses pretty simple instrumentation to its fullest. A simple riff, beat, and bass you can feel combined with Shobie’s flow makes for a great storytelling device. The chorus mixes up the style with staggering vocal effects to really hit the depth and impact of the conflict. Shobie always writes music from the viewpoint of himself in Equestria and this song really paints a vivid picture of what a threat some creatures could be to interpersonal relationships in such a world.

Magic by one of its definitions is a verb used when something so wonderful happens it’s just perfect.
(Continued below the break)
[ASOS] Heartsong – Cloudsbane | Soundtrack
Heartsong returns to A State of Sugar with track 23 as well as Brownie‘s longest track clocking in at nearly 8 minutes, Cloudsbane! The soundtrack vibes are real with this one, being driven by ominous orchestral instruments and unique percussion that really gives the song an old-timey feeling. Halfway through the track, the optimistic mood suddenly drops to a halt as a dark string fades in alongside the sound of thunder in the background, indicating impending danger. However, it keeps building up to a satisfying conclusion, choirs and powerful percussion abound. This strong piece was actually inspired by a fanfiction entitled Magisight, which was written by their friend PsychicKid. Something like that only adds to how great this piece is!
SDreamExplorer – (Path)(Ethic) | Latin Jazz
Ready for a cultural mishmash? Track 11 from SDreamExplorerS’ Ephemeral II: Parallels is (Path)(Ethic), a unique piece that blends jazz with different types of ethnic musical sounds to represent different cultures. The whole song has a festival vibe to it, with an acoustic guitar taking lead while the drums and bass occasionally burst in with fast fills and riffs. Makes you want to go out and check out a food festival, doesn’t it?
Harmonic Six – Under Her Sun | Orchestral
Harmonic Six returns with their first original of the year, Under Her Sun! It’s an beautiful and emotional orchestral piece that fits her character very well, sounding as if she’s making a grand entrance, possibly for the last time before her retirement. The soft string tones in this track will definitely warm you up if you’re feeling cold.
Branrich VanIster – The Dazzlings | Soundtrack
Ever wondered what happened after Rainbow Rocks? Branrich VanIster’s created a small piece that could set the scene for them being forced to live in the new reality of them being unable to sing like they used to. As such, the music is slow and grungy, mostly consisting of an 808 drum beat and an acoustic guitar. The future sure sounds gloomy for this trio.
Hackamore – twilight sparkle you got some bad ideas | Album | Alternative
[Content warning: profanity]
Hackamore shows up every now and again with touch-ups of old classics. This most recent compilation album is an interesting take on several well-known originals from when they went by Jeff Burgess. The instrumentals have undergone a noticeable improvement, but that’s not what you’ll notice about this album. twilight sparkle you got some bad ideas appears to be an increasingly drunken Fern trying to remember the lyrics to old hits and laughing over memories of performing them live.
Of the songs on the album, many are renamed for the joke based on recognizable tracks like Aphelion (we are all luna on the moon), Beyond the Rainbow (doctor scootaloo), Chaos is My Lullaby (discord), and of course Manehattan Nights (manehattan). In addition to the retouches of originals, Hackamore included a cover of well-known classic The Rescue by Cherax Destructor.
If you’re looking for something between a stroll down memory lane and a meme-type post, then this album is up your alley.
