Red Spark – General Solis | Orchestral

Today we’ve got ourselves something rare everypony: this stellar track from Red Spark and even though personally I prefer EDM over everything else (who would have guessed) I have a sweet spot for orchestral tracks, this one in particular. The track starts out with dark drums and which slowly transitions into strings and goes from the dark and sinister tone more to a dark and epic tone and builds on this theme by adding more instruments only to once more switch to only strings which in my opinion really sells the theme and the track pretty much stays with this notion of epicness until it slowly starts fading out. I know I fanboy a lot over EDM in my articles but this song really is extraordinary no matter if you like orchestral or not.

WanderingArtist – Divertimento | Orchestra

Who needs something very pleasant and chill to listen to? Did you all know that WanderingArtist is the music composer of Pony Town? His small EP PonyTown Beach Update, which is a soundtrack of sorts showcases that! The melodies are light, fun and fluffy! With wonderful uses of piano, Flutes, harmonics, xylophone and bass instruments! There is not much more to say, but just sit back and put your stresses off to the sides and enjoy a nice cold drink as you listen to this beauty. As always, this Qilin asks you to judge for yourself.

Songbird Choir – Tropical Life | World Music

MLP fandom music veteran Songbird Choir returns with a joyous, world music-flavored trip to sand, sun, and relaxation! Originally submitted in response to the DustCar race prompt “Pony Life”, this expanded version takes elements from Pony Life’s theme song and morphs them into a tropical getaway. The percussive melody incorporates some great flute and guitar to round out the sound. It’s a fantastic tune, and it’s wonderful that Songbird Choir was able to harness the quick, bouncy energy of a brief piece of music and grow it into this gem.

RottenTotten – End of the World | Synthwave / Hybrid Orchestral

RottenTotten generates some really great emotion and atmosphere with this synth-driven piece! Produced as the first song from a project that was lost for a time, there is a strong, epic narrative thread throughout. It’s easy to picture this song backing a protracted adventure and struggle. Along with “Song of the Sea” and “Goldenblood“, this song represents some really great development in RottenTotten’s music! It’s great that this music was not lost and that the project is underway. It will be fantastic to follow this album as it is released and see the full story as it unfolds!

Studio Quinn – Alone (feat. JustKat and Koron Korak) | Orchestral Rock

Oh, the wonders of making music based on the fandom’s headcanons… Now, just to be clear, it’s long been said that Twilight will not outlive her friends. That has not been changed or been confirmed by Big Jim Miller.

However! That doesn’t mean that wonderful music can be made from it, like this track! There are many pretty yet somber aspects to the composition of this track by Quinn. The vibe of the melody goes with the thumbnail artwork and the orchestra elements are wonderful. You really feel for Twilight as the bittersweet vocals of JustKat tells that story to really sell it. You have the fantastic violin from the one and only maestro Koron Korak to further those feels. It’s a very unsettling feeling for the new ruler of Equestria. Poor Twilight… As always, this Qilin asks you to judge for yourself.

RottenTotten – Song of the Sea | Orchestral

Rottentotten takes a dive into orchestral territory with Song of the Sea. The song does well to capture the mood of sailing across a stormy sea, with plucked and bowed strings alike driving the melody over light percussion and sounds of water and thunder. 6 minutes of orchestral goodness can’t be passed up!

Koron Korak – Yoga with Somnambula | World Music

Nopony can resist Somnambula’s charms… This has been proven once more with the cute and irresistible pony becoming Koron’s second favorite, and the dedicated musician proceeding to make a tribute to her… And it won’t be the last one! Meditative and Egyptian vibes are making this yoga-ready piece a very fitting musical extension of that scene from that episode when she returned (and we all went crazy about it), also available as an 1Hr Version for all your meditation sessions purposes!

RedSpark – Light of the Stars | Orchestral / Soundtrack

Not only one but two new installments in a row, both this track and Yaks Stomp released at the same time are such perfect BGMs for the part of the story that they illustrate, the former representing a stroll gazing at the night sky and northern lights, and the latter depicting an epic battle with the yaks showing their might. Find a summary of the story in the descriptions on YouTube, and the full story on Fimfiction!

Koron Korak – A Last Melody | Organ Solo

Koron Korak’s seventh musical tribute to his late brother is A Last Melody, an orchestral piece that utilises an organ and violin as the central instruments. The two play in harmony with a melody that compliments each other well, the overall vibe sounding sad yet cathartic, eventually building up to a climax with the violin’s high note which represents Koron’s voice. This song, as mentioned by Koron, is his way of saying words of goodbye that he wasn’t able to say at the time…

RedSpark – The letter and a journey ahead | Orchestral

Endeavors both literary and musical at the same time are scarce, but always appreciated. This kind of art piece is precisely what Red Spark began with their fanfiction and symphonic poem A tale of Starlight. “The letter and a journey ahead” is the second movement of the symphony, meant to be played while reading “Information and the Journey ahead,” the second chapter of the fanfiction. Taking inspiration from film scores, Red Spark depicts the fears of Starlight and Trixie embarking on their journey, but also their excitement as the song becomes brighter halfway through.
