Lukas Vokrinek – Twilight Suite | Orchestral
Created from a place of highest respect for the Princess of Friendship, Lukas Vokrinek orchestrated his Twilight Suite by tapping into the “delicacy, hope, and determination” of her character. This highly inspired track amazes for both its relaxing qualities as well as the epic build throughout the piece. Starting softly with just a couple instruments including “raindrop” piano keys, this short suite grows both in energy and instrumentation into a big orchestra, proclaiming the greatness of the Princess of Friendship!
Exiark – FTL | Drum & Bass
Straight from the album Otherworldly Journey, this track envelops you with its chilling melody, depth, and sense of determination as it tells of how Luna, after being exiled to the moon is trying to get to someone, and how nothing will stop her from getting there. Faster than light we are taken through Exiark’s Universe and yet, we still have much further to go before we reach the end.
Skelter – Nature | Progressive House
Skelter has some Fluttershy-themed progressive house for us! With its relaxing beats, cheery melodies, and angelic synths, it perfectly captures the essence of Fluttershy on a picnic with all her critter friends. The download’s pay-what-you-want, so go check it out!
Sable Symphony – When Dawn Turns to Dusk | Progressive Metal
I’m honestly more and more impressed every time Sable puts out a new song. They’re constantly improving on their technical skill when it comes to recording and mixing songs – everything sounds so clear, and I’ve not even started on the performance itself! I love slightly more complex time signatures and all that jazz, so I was hooked from the intro. It was a pleasant surprise to see that Luck Rock wrote the lyrics to this – the combo of Luck’s writing and Sable’s performance was something I never anticipated but works so well!
Funny thing is, I’m not even a particularly big metal fan, I just enjoyed this so much! 👏👏👏
Osoch – Blast! | Metal
This song is so much fun to listen to! Based off of the new toy Hasbro revealed that has gained a lot of popularity, Osoch wrote this driving instrumental track that makes you feel like you are taking off on a rocket with Starlight and Trixie. With an accelerated tempo, crispy, crunchy guitars, and a great beat, Blast! makes for a great rock song!
DoctorSympony – Dancing Through Dreamscape | Orchestral
DoctorSympony is back with a wonderful character theme of sorts for Luna and her nighttime work as the guardian of ponykind’s dreams, and it just reflects perfectly that serious-ness, ethereal nature, and a bit playful side of Luna’s personality and activity! Night-like piano and eldritch oboe set the mood perfectly and create a stunning BGM of choice to play in that map in a game if it existed, controlling Luna or following her!
[VALENTINE’S BRAINDANCE] One Track Mind – Nostalgia | Breakbeat / IDM
Noise.horse’s compilation albums are always a great chance to experiment and venture out of your comfort zone. One Track Mind being already a musician who tends to explore the paths less traveled, it makes this tune even more unique, with a quality progression of beautiful piano as well as glitchy melodies. A song grasping the essence of Nostalgia in an intricate way, it’s available as part of VALENTINE’S BRAINDANCE, a compilation album from the experimental label noise.horse that features a lovely array of talented musicians who pushed the limits extra further for Hearts and Hooves Day!
FruityFusion – Deep Twist | Midtempo / Synthwave
FruityFusion is back with a retro Midtempo track! Taking the listener to the 80’s with that amazing synthesizer work, Fruity also bring modernism with the fast and uplifting beat. Feels like if a female voice was singing on this, would be the perfect mix! This track is really well done, more one to save in the retro files! Good job Fruity!
174UDSI – I Won’t Go Back To My Past (feat. Vexillographer) | Orchestral / Electronic
174UDSI and Vexillographer team up for this amazing orchestral composition. An uplifting, rather happy song, it’s a bit of a break from 174UDSI’s traditional genre of electronic. However, that’s some of the draw – hearing a musician try a new genre is always exciting and interesting, and here, he does a fantastic job.
