Ponies At Dawn – Guardians | Compilation Album | Multi-Genre

I wish I could sum up how awesome the songs on this album in a short concise review. Buuut not only are there too many songs to even scratch the surface of this album, but I think the album stream is still going on!

To be honest, there are even some names on here that I don’t recognise myself – and of course some names that everyone will recognise. That’s one of the best things about these albums: not only do you get some of everyone’s favourites, but you can find a chance to discover brand new musicians doing all kinds of different genres, with more than enough creativity to go around.

Guardians is available to download from the P@D Bandcamp for any given price.

Neon Lights – Civil War | Big Room House

N O V U S   O R D O   S E C L O R U M

Neon Lights has already blown me away with some of their other house songs, and it’s fantastic to see them both on the new Ponies At Dawn album and featuring on Cider Party too! This track has a great hard hitting drop with big, full saws, and both deep and growly basses.

This is the last of our Ponies At Dawn pre-releases. The album goes up later tonight and the livestream starts in about an hour!

Royalpony – FUN FUN FUN!!! | Hardstyle

That’s right, it’s another track by hardstyle savant Royalpony! The aptly titled “FUN FUN FUN!!!” delivers all his trademarks. This high-BPM song bubbling with energy has the feel of an older hardstyle track, and longtime fans of Royalpony are sure to feel nostalgic. And, of course, Pinkie’s vocals bring in that special spark that turns the dance-ability up to 11. All in all, a true banger for the dance floor.

Official DJRedSkY – Good Feel | House

This groovy, smooth house track by DJRedSkY uses oldschool synths to wonderful effect. The warm plucks and groovy beat are delicious, and the saxophone adds that special something. The production quality is absolutely amazing and blends all the elements together in just the right way.

Zephysonas – Royal Swarm | Epic Orchestral

I’m pretty sure that Chrysalis and her (maybe not) past swarm will continue to inspire forever, and here is a lovely and epic Orchestral piece from maestro Zephysonas themed around her Royal Swarm. Delivering an intense and complex progression, the piece seems to chant and herald Chrysalis’ return along an intricate plot to exact her revenge!

TCB – Untitled | Electronic

This unfortunately scrapped track by TCB bridges so many genres I don’t even know them all – future bass, D&B, instrumental, and more. It opens with a soft piano solo, and progresses into warm leads. Spliced elegantly amongst these leads are vocal chops of the Dazzlings. After the drop, an interesting mix of vocals, wubs, and gritty drums merge. The song finishes as it began, with beautiful piano work.

The Dark Side – Back To The Action | Big Room

The Dark Side is now Back To The Action with a returning track shining as bright as the cover art. Uplifting melodies and a soothing mood provide quite a delightful experience, and the progression is quite amazing with several melodic parts completing each other in a beautiful journey of sound.

[P@D] iblank2apples & R3CTIFIER – Phoenix | Electro

What’s this? An amazing dubstep collaboration for the new Ponies @ Dawn album! Showing off some dedicated love about Princess Celestia’s phoenix, the duo showers you down with great sounding wubs and impressive chord work. Their sound design together is on FIRE up in here, so while you wait for P@D’s eleventh album release that’s planned to happen this Friday, come on over and shake it down with Philomena!

A Symphony of Two – Living Nightmares | Dark Ambient / Orchestral

The French duo A Symphony of Two, comes back with this spooky, chilling and ethereal tune about Princess Luna and her fears of becoming Nightmare Moon again. A nocturnal and ominous texture with some Spoken Word samples and orchestral arrangements that makes this song one of the many repertories that represent the creativity behind Blue Note’s and Cainbow’s minds.

This masterpiece reminds me of some really somber and mysterious horror videogame soundtrack like Akira Yamaoka’s Silent Hill soundtracks. You really need to check out this song and the album where it’s featured.
