Initially released on Ponies At Dawn’s Aurora album as a solo venture, Francis has since updated it for his upcoming album release with the inclusion of Scoonie on some of the vocals as well. There’s plenty of the wonderful sounds you’d expect from Francis, with a bit more of an alt. rock vibe to it, as a tale is told of the earth pony who ended up drifting amongst the clouds during the recent G5 movie.

Maldecid – Magic Master | Deathstep
Maldecid harnesses the intensity and some great vocal chops from Twilight’s conflict with Trixie in the episode “Magic Duel”, and the result is this gripping Deathstep tune! The track pulses with magic and emotion, seemingly mimicking Twilight’s struggle with being bested by Trixie and her challenge to find a way to block out the negativity from this experience and defeat her. It’s a fiercely melodic journey through a wonderfully textured soundscape!
Frozen Night – Ambient.White OST – The Heart of Battle | Orchestral
Igniting the warrior’s heart within us all, Frozen Night’s “The Heart of Battle” expertly tosses the listener straight into the midst of an epic conflict. This cinematic soundtrack – the battle theme for the upcoming MLP-inspired game, “Ambient.White” – allows the listener’s imagination to soar with images of clashing swords, flashing hooves, and driving war drums that serve to propel the embattled soldier forward to victory. Luck Rock’s “Between the Stars and the Sea” is musical storytelling straight from the heart. Lyrical beauty paired with conversational-style vocals and pared-down instrumentation highlight the heart’s search for meaning, purpose, and guidance originating from someone or something beyond ourselves. The stars hold forth the hope of eternity and guiding light from above, while the sea’s drifting depths and punishing waves call these into question. Luck Rock’s almost journalistic-style lyrics help us realize that we’re not alone in our quest for meaning, purpose, and light from above and encourage us to keep looking up when feeling caught between the stars and the sea.

GrazySmash always manages to find interesting ways to keep his flavour of psytrance fresh, and this track from Aurora is yet another example of that. Featuring a terrific lead synth that sounds clean, fresh and wonderfully suited to the atmospherics created by the psy bass and horn stabs, it’s definitely a banger.

JTH us back with another masterpiece! It’s been awhile huh? Well worth the wait as we are gifted with a lusciously rich soundscape with a driving yet mellow rhythm behind it with a myriad of great Pinkie vocal chops and a wonderful switch up to wrap everything up! If you’ve been waiting like I have, your patience will be rewarded with this one!
Ethan Toavs – Soaring | Orchestral
Ethan Toavs has delivered us once more a lovely and amazing orchestral tune! This time, his track enters the fray with Rainbow Dash! The melody SOARS across your ears with joy, excitement, and pure determination! And to think that this was composed within an hour; now THAT is what I consider truly talented. And you can hear the focus and precision Ethan has put in this song, just like how Rainbow Dash spreads her wings and races across the sky! I also like the Top Gun / Ace combat musical elements that have been put into this composition. Well done, Ethan! Massive props to you!
Kaida – Twilight | Trance
I love me a bit of trance, and evidently so does Kaida! This track, part of her ongoing “Princess Project”, is dedicated to our favourite book horse protagonist. Sparkling, arpeggiated melodies and ethereal pads accompany a driving beat, with a nice additional touch of a string instrument to add a slight melancholic contrast to the other uplifting elements. It’s classic trance – need I say more?
