[P@D] Koa – To The Nines | Electro Pop

Koa has really made her presence felt this year with a couple powerful live performances in addition to hit tracks like this new release from Ponies at Dawn: Eternal. To The Nines captures everything about Rarity’s work perfectly with the well-polished, flashy pop composition mixed fabulously with a moving bass to an excellent, upbeat tempo. The incredible synth work brightens up the song exactly how Rarity makes her dresses stand out. The vocals are elegant and dangerously catchy – but you’ll want to be singing along to this song all day anyway!

Ponyville Ciderfest – 2019 Official Convention Album | Compilation Album | Multi-Genre

Ponyville Ciderfest, the MLP:FiM convention coming up this week in Milwaukee, Wisconsin has just released a new compilation album featuring many of the musicians that will perform at the big concert! This year, the convention is holiday-themed and several of the songs on this album are new or remastered holiday tracks! The range of music is extremely diverse and flows very nicely from start to finish. Here are just a few of the many highlights on the album.

The first track is an unreleased song from Vocal Score and really sets the stage for the whole CD. Extremely festive and flowing beautifully into The Heart Carol from the original Hearth’s Warming Episode.

Prince Whateverer makes a few appearances on the Holiday Album, most notably with his new metal cover of the classic, Nightmare Night. John Kenza and loophoof, who will be performing a back-2-back together, feature remixes of each other’s songs. Galen of the Wonderbolts band and Brilliant Venture release brand new holiday hits. MC Arch also has a brand new and powerful track entitled Oathkeeper.

Other well-recognized names include 4everfreebrony, Black Gryph0n and Baasik, JoinedTheHerd with CadetRedShirt, Seventh Element, Nevermourn & TCB, MelodyBrony, Francis Vace, and more!

All proceeds go to Generations Against Bullying – the Ciderfest charity which aims to reduce childhood bullying through research and education, so be sure to help out if you can!

Damien Nagy – Salvation | Soundtrack

Another OST track used for Damien’s MP3 Saga “Erebys” and composed by Damien himself, this song is not only providing a BGM accompaniment to the scene, but enacts the dialogue as well with beautiful vocals sung in French. We don’t often get French songs in the community, so this is very welcome! The second episode of the MP3 Saga is out, by the way!

Rusty Thorsell – The Gibble The Gooble | Indie Pop

It’s Spooktober, and our beloved Rusty answered the call to make a fittingly spooky track! With the unique-ness that you’d expect, The Gibble The Gooble enacts a wonky dialogue further depicted by the cover art, and playful melodies are blending with the eldritch vocals so well!

Vylet Pony – Jealousy (ft. Nontree11) | Pop

80s vibes for days. Track 20 from Vylet’s Love Letters: Colourless – as well as the closing track – this one showcases some of her most powerful vocal work to date, which works well given the subject matter. As is tradition with most of the songs from the album, it’s accompanied with a diary note from Rainbow Dash, this one detailing her frustration with friendship and how she feels now that she can no longer stay in contact with Rarity. All this, alongside Nontree‘s contributions, make for a cathartic yet satisfying song to jam out to.

VocalScorePony – The Magic of Friendship Grows (Covering Daniel Ingram) | Acoustic

Now that thee series finale has come and passed. We finally get to see some wonderful takes on our very last song. VocalScorePony has poured their soul into their cover of this song and the emotion is spot on and the way the choruses come forth and recede is fantastic. The climax of the song with its chorale of voices hits home so well and if it hasn’t been made clear already. The ‘end’ isn’t the end of the story; Its the beginning of the new chapter!

Vylet Pony – Familiar Feelings (feat. Chi Chi) | Chill Hop

I’m sure everyone of us have been there at least once. Feeling the sense of déjà vu,  or the feeling that you’ve lost something precious to you that you can’t ever get back. Vylet Pony’s new track, Familiar Feelings captures those feelings all too well. Without spoiling the story of song too much, here is a rhetorical question: Have you lost a good friend before, due to any disagreements and only find out after the fact that it’s too late to make amends?
Chi Chi’s voice acting and vocals goes perfectly with the overall emotional undertones of the song. It’s almost as if you are experiencing the drama unfold right beside the familiar characters you’ve known and loved. Go give this a listen, and have some paper towels nearby. Excellent work from Vylet Pony and Chi Chi yet again!

Vylet Pony – My Letter to the Princess (ft. a lot of bronies) | R&B

With MLP:FiM’s ending depression still washing over the fandom, it’s no surprise that there’s also a wave of cathartic music made in its wake, with this one being no exception. The ever-prolific Vylet has made a brilliant and emotional track about remembrance and the world Twilight helped create that will last forever. This track reaches a climax towards the end with a massive vocal group of 60 people in the fandom singing together in harmony, which only goes to show how far this fandom has come. Thank you Vylet, and thank you everypony.
