Lol! What a way to revive an absolute fandom CLASSIC!! The original parody of My Chemical Romance’s “I’m Not Okay” took the fandom by storm last year, and this cover does a great job of keeping the energy going! The more instrumental focus makes for a wild and new experience, especially if you liked the original. I do wonder how Slightly Amiss feels about this… I love this fandom XD just remember: it’s not gay 😉

The master of Nintendocore is not so retired after all, with even a brand new EP following the other recent release Always in my Heart! It’s so awesome getting such a unique genre in the community from somepony who knows what they’re doing. Crashie lets it all out in these short yet very rocking tracks, fusing Chiptune and Metal elements! Find the whole EP on Bandcamp here!
[P@D] 4everfreebrony – This Is What It’s Like (feat. Envia Sun, SaxPon3, and TheMusicReborn) | Alternative Rock
Track 3 from Ponies at Dawn: Eclipse is This Is What It’s Like, the first of three appearances of 4everfreebrony (along with Envia Sun, SaxPon3 and TheMusicReborn) on the album! The song depicts a scenario where Celestia visits the moon while Luna’s still imprisoned there, to see how she’s hanging on. Celestia here is portrayed by Envia Sun, and her voice is absolutely spectacular. She really completes this piece, making this happy-but-secretly-sad song sounding amazing. If that’s your thing, you’ll love this!

BlueBrony and Totalspark (the latter’s second of two contributions) join forces to create something unique as part of Ponies at Dawn: Eclipse: a unique combination of orchestral music and dubstep! It really captures the feeling of an intense spy mission, especially when the surprising rock elements make their way in!
Luck Rock – Pony Life (Friends Parody) | Power Pop
Short yet so important, this parody of Friends in response to that reference in Pony Life is very appreciated, and Luck Rock was the pony musician for the job! Evershade even made a mini PMV to accompany the song, and overall this new Pony Life fan work is just SO lovely and awesome! Give it up to the creators everypony! I wish that more works like these get made!
StableTwoStallion – Daddy Discord (feat. HiddenFaithy) (Covering Sand Josieph) | Gothic Metal
Always so dedicated, StableTwoStallion contributed to the party for Nightmare Night with a mad cover of a mad song, even inviting HiddenFaithy for a collab! The SFM visuals made to accompany the tracks are as epic as ever, and it’s awesome for that original track about Discord and Screwball to get some more love!
MelodyBrony & Friends – Silverstream (Covering Forest Rain) | Pop Rock
MelodyBrony got the dream team together for this one! Himself on rhythm guitar, Luck on lead, Agatan’s vocals, Whirlwind on drums, and IvoryBrony on keys make for a killer birthday tribute to a personal favorite of mine from Forest Rain. It’s as full of energy as the original, and every bit as much of a joy to have on repeat.

There is a very special place in my heart for musicians that just go the extra mile with their music. The effort, the passion, the hard work writing and composing this type of grand music. Soul Strings and his friends have done just that: a folk tale of a loving father and his filly daughter leaving what they knew to find a cure to the illness that’s slowly killing her. They travel to Equestria from leagues away from their homeland, in the hopes of getting to Canterlot and ask the royal sisters Celestia and Luna to save his daughter’s life with their legendary alicorn magic. With the journey comes how to tell that story with the glory of heavy metal!

Lord Sunfyre – Nothing’s Perfect (feat. GazPony & BreeBree) | Pop Punk
More Pony Life music! The track is brought to you by yet another brony punk rocker, Lord Sunfyre. They are joined by GazPony’s energetic vocals and mixed by Bree, and together they have created a track with some classic punk rock guitar and pace, and lyrics with a message to the fandom. Things are never perfect, nor is the show Pony Life, but the fandom can live on regardless. The vocals and the rockin’ instrumentation speed through this track with the same madcap energy of the show. The video itself has the nice touch of showing moments from all nine seasons of FiM, which is another strong reminder of why we are here. Give this dude some love! As always, this Qilin asks you to judge for yourself.
