Ponysphere & Secret Metal – She’s all mine | Hard Rock

Warning: Some swearing and implied violence in this track!

Taking influence from early, violent fanfics, She’s All Mine is a great piece of hard rock fan music. Achieving a very classic rock sound via the late 70s and early 80s, Ponysphere provides the instrumentation that drives the track in combination with Secret Metal’s vocals that bring it home. Add in a solid percussive beat and some old-school guitar solos and you’ve got well executed, rare, hard rock gem!

Ponies At Dawn – Rebirth | Compilation Album | Multi-Genre

a0202306754_10

Listening to the live album release stream for Rebirth, the thing that strikes me most is how brony musicians are always able to make such diverse songs, and to such a high level of production. From the (admittedly majority) range of electronic styles to the big rock and metal songs, to a full range of acoustic and orchestral tracks, there are constant surprises in store.

We’ll be featuring plenty of songs from the album as they’re released on YouTube by the respective artists or the P@D YouTube channel over the coming weeks. Until then, the album is available to download for any given price on Ponies At Dawn’s bandcamp page.

AndNoOneDriving – In The Magical Land | Rock

The landscape begins rushing by seemingly never-ending and full of vistas each more epic than the last. In the Magical Land takes you on a grand journey through the fantastical land of Equestria by gently inviting your gaze toward a simple landscape, gradually guiding you into increasingly epic sights and experiences, and finally allowing you to settle down in a peaceful field to take it all in. This piece by AndNoOneDriving is a wonderful musical portrait that may even enhance one’s personal image of just how beautiful Equestria could be. If you enjoyed this song be sure to check out more of AndNoOneDrving’s incredibly inspired music such as For Queen Chrysalis.

FlutterRage – The Magic Inside (Covering Daniel Ingram) | Metal

Well here’s a remix I didn’t know I needed. FlutterRage combines the soothing beauty we know and love in The Magic Inside with some thrashing metal accompaniments. Adding heavy guitar chords and a sweet percussive beat to the original vocals actually mixes very well and brings a lot of energy to the track. Combining these elements with a souped up piano part makes this is a fun take on a classic show song!

PrinceWhateverer & Jyc Row (feat. Sable Symphony & MantaTsubasa) – Open Up Your Eyes (Covering Daniel Ingram) | Metal

The dynamic duo of Prince Whateverer and Sable Symphony teamed up with some other big talent in Jyc Row and MantaTsubasa to bring a face-meltingly epic metal cover of Tempest’s movie anthem. Using Jyc Row’s expert orchestration and Whateverer’s always excellent vocals combined with Sable’s complimentary harmonies, this cover brings a lot of energy and drive to the villain song we all love. Singing a solo during the interlude, MantaTsubasa adds an extra layer of dimension to the cover track with her extremely well-executed, hauntingly near-insane vocals.

Luck Rock – You Are a Princess | Alternative Rock

New release by Luck Rock, and you know what that means! Alt Rock pony time! This time focusing on Twilight’s character depth, Luck made a wonderful tribute with more focus on vocals and keyboards, and the lovely vocals as well as the very “Twilight” melodies and sounds all do wonders to bring a very cute and warm experience for the ears as well as the soul!

AndNoOneDriving – Bitter Daybreaker | Post Rock

The second of AndNoOneDriving’s recent Post Rock ventures, this progressive piece is about Celestia and a part of her character depth that many have pondered about already – a potential thirst for power, and using all that powerful magic sealed within. The advent of Daybreaker (despite only in a dream) in S07E10 A Royal Problem caused a paradigm shift for some, and the inspiration it gave to the community won’t fade for a while. Bitter Daybreaker is another proof of that, with heavy guitars and epic melodies hinting at a possible power outbreak from the Princess of the Sun, and delivering one amazing musical experience much fitting to its concept.

AndNoOneDriving – Wind to the Wing | Post Rock

Being inspired by Post Rock gigs at a pony convention, and several pony themes, AndNoOneDriving wrote amazing and meaningful Post Rock tracks of his own and this is the first of them! Paying tribute to Scootaloo’s very relatable character depth and feelings (for me too), Wind to the Wing is an incredible progressive piece featuring both soft parts of blissful guitar melodies, and heavier parts expressing feelings with the power of rock music! The bass play is delightful as well and perhaps it’s no coincidence given that “Scootabass” Scootaloo is often portrayed playing a bass guitar in fanarts. Wind to the Wing is definitely a masterpiece, to enjoy over and over again!

Francis Vace – What You Made Me Do | Punk Rock

Off the must-have album The Old Mare And The Sea, What You Made Me Do is a very deep and emotional song about Celestia’s feelings and character depth in a certain alternate universe explained in the description. Francis’ very moving vocals are doing wonders once again to convey all the depth and force from the events unfolding and the feelings nurtured, and the instrumental isn’t lacking fitting Punk Rock vibes!

The Shake Ups In Ponyville – Hey! Hey! | Power Pop

Focusing on paying tribute to the “Fab Four” Beatles in this new release from the upcoming album Ponymania!, The Shake Ups not only composed a very lovely song in their style but also went all the way to make a full music video, even dressing as them! Full of win, this song is also a nod at drummer Pinkie along the canon ponification of the Beatles as seen in S05E11 Party Pooped (which remains one of my favorite MLP episodes ever in great part thanks to that). I even got that picture edit printed on a T-shirt!
