Lorris’s new album is jam-packed with delightful wubbly goodness. Dubstep, drumstep, trap, and more are all represented here, with an overarching cybernetic theme. Every song is amazing, and there’s enough variation to keep you engaged throughout the album. Songs like Dropshot are guttural and bassy, while Particles Storm is crisp and dark. It’s pay what you want, so go give it a listen!

Radiarc – Loose | Post-Rock
Quite a cathartic song this one is! Taking musical inspiration from Chris Christodoulou and his Risk of Rain soundtrack, this is some of the most unique post-rock I’ve ever heard. From saxophone to turntable scratches, this track lifts elements from all over the musical spectrum. The drums are punchy and attention-grabbing without being “epic,” and the breaks throughout (featuring some heavenly vocal samples and strings) are just lovely. Clearly, this was a very important track for Radiarc to release, judging by the description and the song itself, so go show him some love!
Zephysonas – Pinkie PiErate | Orchestral
Something a bit different than the usual orchestral that comes out of the fandom, Zephysonas perfectly encapsulates the feeling of being a pirate, as the strings lend themselves quite well to a pirate’s drinking song! Likely taking inspiration from the Pony Point of View (P.P.O.V.) episode, this is a treat in 3/4 time for anyone into the pirate aesthetic. “Care for a diamond?!”
AntaresPony – a luna tune | Ambient
This is a nice surprise from Antares, who appears to be new to the MLP scene. This is a a very relaxing and atmospheric piece about Luna. The song itself really makes you think almost as if in retrospect about all of the hardships our Princess has faced and all of the guilt she holds on to as the world goes by around her. At least; That is how I see it. The artist leaves much of the tune up for interpretation which is quite nice in fact. What do you take away from it?
[ASOS] Zizkil – Carnivorous Lust Queen | Drumstep
Another release from A State of Sugar’s recent compilation album, Bubblegum, this track showcases Zizkil’s penchant for inventive sound design and combining elements from different genres seamlessly. It also features some wonderful original art by Fizzle Soda! The mix is clean enough to please purists and heavy enough to satisfy the headbangers. It combines elements of trap, drum & bass, dubstep, and even a bit of orchestral. It’s a pretty frantic track and perfectly evokes the chaos of a Changeling invasion and Queen Chrysalis commandeering it all. If crazy sound design and heavy uptempo music is your thing, or if you’ve enjoyed Zizkil’s work in the past, this ain’t one to miss.
[ASOS] Nevermourn & Paloris – Night Time Lullabies | Liquid Drum & Bass
Drumscape Library is back with another new release, one from A State of Sugar’s Bubblegum, this time by channel regular Nevermourn and the wonderfully talented Paloris. This track is very appropriately titled, as the soft piano hits, vibrating bass, and snappy breaks backed by the sweet strings are very evocative of the Princess of Night. It’s at parts highly energetic and, at others, very soothing. Check it out if you’re a fan of more chilled DnB.
4everfreebrony – Wandering Eyes (2018) | Acoustic
This is another amazing 4everfreebrony song in addition to having an amazing backstory! Soft, with a fantastic acoustic picking pattern, Wandering Eyes is a peaceful ballad of an older sibling reflecting on their younger sister and her curious intuitions. Already a personal favorite of 4everfreebrony, he remastered this track at the request of an artist, Sea Maas – who agreed to provide the gorgeous cover art for the song. Calming and sentimental, this song is every bit as wonderful as we have come to expect from the fandom veteran!
EnergyTone – Радость (Album version) | Country Rock
EnergyTone delivers a beautiful rock song, with nice country influences, themed around Pinkie Pie. The song starts of with a wonderfully upbeat intro and leads into EnergyTone’s beautiful lyrics about how Pinkie Pie brightens up his life. The soft contrast between the acoustic and electric guitars is a nice touch in this song, and I love the little synth accents. Even if you can’t understand Russian, the tone of Energytone’s voice really conveys the thoughts well and brings the whole song together.
Francis Vace – Open Skies (Covering EnsionD & Evdog) | Third Wave Ska / Chiptune
Covering one of the very best classics of P@D, Francis Vace gives to the amazing EDM anthem his classic ska vibes with the funny bass and the typical vocal performance of Vace! You did great here Vace, keep doing your thing!
Night Symphony – The Enchanted Library | Orchestral
Inspired by Monochromatic’s fanfic of the same name, Night Symphony has composed this amazing 8-part piece that takes the listener on quite a journey. At 24 minutes it’s fairly long, but its definitely worth the time. I especially love the eerie vocals during the “Fight” and “The Oak Library” sections. This seems to be the first original music uploaded on Night Symphony’s account, hopefully we’ll see more in the future!
