[VibePoniez] BlueBrony – Darling | Lo-Fi
Oh man oh, if you haven’t listened to VibePoniez: Overcast…dudes and ladies (especially those of you who are Rarity fans), you are missing out on a track that is frankly the definition of really good Lo-fi hip hop. It’s so beautiful, darling! This track has this sick and stylish boom and bap to it, but this is Rarity we are talking about, and the song channels the energy of her favorite stylish sleuth “Shadow Spade!” Oh baby, does this song just throw down the style big time! We have Rarity’s vocal chops mixed into this melody that’s composed of fabulous violin melodies and these sparkling gems and chimes that bring more flair to the track. The lo-fi itself even fits into rarity’s detective role. Classic noir is stylish but dark and dirty, and you can’t be scared to get your perfectly manicured hooves dirty in the face of ponies being shifty and dishonest! Everything about this track is such an outstanding representation of Rarity’s character and it’s one of highlights of the album. I have to tell you, you feel like you are there with the gorgeous mare sipping on some red wine and enjoying listening to her tell you about her many cases! Make no mistake, Rarity is a classy and powerful lady that we bronies know can handle herself. This track sure delivers that message in a way only Rarity can. BlueBrony, thank you for making such a great tribute to Rarity! As always, this Qilin asks you to judge for yourself, but this track is the essence of elegance. Believe that, darling.
Ampderg – A Tale Of A Different Time | Future Garage

What is like to be a princess that just smiles and waves or, for that matter, is continually used as a prop? This song and the one chapter fanfic that goes with it creates a veil of mystery for one Princess Icicle. She remembers the Crystal Faire, which takes place the one day every year that she comes out of her castle to mingle with her subjects, but she remembers little else, and her guards are always eager to get her back into the castle. When she talks to her subjects, they ask her questions for which she feels she should have answers but she doesn’t. The song’s lyrics, told by Icicle herself, relate these feelings and the visions she is getting. The music is this mixture of an upbeat yet mysterious bassline and drops along with ultra fun pounding bass, and these elements and the song’s harmonies create the feeling of “there is more going on here, Princess, and you know it”. As the lyrics start describing more of Icicle’s desire to get to the bottom of what is going on (I will not spoil it for you–read the fanfic to find out more!), the track starts to fade, and as she starts to fall from the sky the real story begins. The lyric video that goes with this track is very fitting for the energy of the music, and the combination really adds to the sense of mystery! This song is a banger for sure, but read the fic too to get the full experience! As always this Qilin asks for you to judge for yourself.
Tw3Lw3 – Simp EP | Multi-Genre
If for some odd reason this is your first time listening to Tw3Lv3 then there are a couple of things that you should know: She is known for her high quality production of music that she seems to do at record speeds, and she is also known for her remixing ability allows her to change canon or fan made songs by adding her creative magic that makes the track even more epic or take it in a direction that makes it her own. Oh, and she is so versatile that she is able to do just about any genre. TCB is one of her close friends and another creative genius producer. And so, my friend, with this album you get “a journey into a world of pure imagination | take a look around and you’ll see into your imagination,” as Willy Wonka once said. Six of TCB’s best songs remixed and reimagined as only Tw3Lv3 can. If you still have not hear Tw3Lv3’s magic, you are going to find out why she is one of the hottest musicians in the fandom. Now, enough talk. Let’s have a look!
PrinceWhateverer – Remember Me (feat. Blackened Blue) | Metal
Is it me? or is PrinceWhateverer improving on telling a story through his music? This deep track from Starlight Glimmer’s point of view integrates the events of seasons five and six. Prince sings about Starlight’s desires to improve herself and the events of yearning to once again see Sunburst. Starlight hopes that her old friend remembers and feels the same, and maybe something more. Prince is on top of his vocal game along with the help of Blackened Blue in the harmonies, to screaming with sorrow for her anger and sadness. The heavy metal and sweet piano chords are oh so fitting for this track; gets you right into the head of Starlight, front and center. As always, this Qilin asks you to judge for yourself.
Whirlwind – Thank You | Piano Solo
This right here is just precious, done by my friend Whirlwind in honor of the day he found this show and this fandom. My word, what a lovely piece of music. Just close your eyes and think about how this show and fandom have shaped you. Whirlwind and myself talk about music all the time, and I gotta tell you, when he says this show changed him for the better, it shows in these sweet, friendship filled piano notes with a hint of the sunshine and birds chirping. You can’t help but picture you and your friends at a pony con, at a meetup or in a Discord server just talking about the characters that have meant so much to us all. Have a listen and take in Whirlwind’s joy, and as always, this Qilin asks you to judge for yourself.
Thunder Dash – The Zebra’s Domain | Electronic Orchestra
Ok, let me tell you, this is only the second Thunder Dash piece I have heard, and my word, this musician has my attention. You’ve got to have something special to tell a story this deep and emotional in just over 8 minutes. I love it when bronies, especially musicians, get so creative! In this piece Thunder Dash uses a full tool list of melodies and harmonies to tell the story of the Zebras, their homeland, how they live, and their beliefs and culture. Thunder Dash says it better than I could in the video description, so I will for once focus on the music. The song is all about one thing–atmosphere! The track immerses you in its musical narrative, and you are pulled into its comparison of Zebra life with Equestrian pony life. You can feel the joy when those calling to the spirits are answered! It’s all told with a full arsenal of awesome musical storytelling, and Thunder Dash needs to be shown some love for this! As always, this Qilin asks you to judge for yourself.
SpinScissor – Goodbye | Drum & Bass
I don’t think I’ve heard a track about “Tanks for the Memories” before! I’ve got to the say, SpinScissor, you did the episode justice with the mood of this track. As you listen to the flow of the track, if you listen closely to the vocal chops from “I’ll Fly” with the awesome pounding beats with the speed effects, you hear them flow like the harmonics of the track. The pace is perfect for a Rainbow Dash track; the drums are a nice touch to a beat that I’m sure is going to get you out of your seat movin’ around. Then there are the heartwarming parts of the song with the vocal chops of Rainbow Dash expressing her feelings about Tank needing to go away for the winter… Those chops give the song such great depth and feeling. SpinScissor, please keep working on your craft–you got this! As always this Qilin asks you to judge for yourself. On a personal note, that episode is one of better (and underrated) Rainbow Dash ones because it shows that she is not just this super powerful and confident pony! Rainbow DASH fans, am I right!?
