[P@D] Hearse Percy – Unwind (feat. ThatMusicBrony) | House

The duo known as Hearse Percy (consisting of Faulty and PegasYs) returns with another saucy banger in Unwind, the 30th track on Ponies at Dawn: Ignite. Joining them is ThatMusicBrony, who lays some tasty vocals over the top of the beautifully crafted house instrumental. The beat is catchy, the synths feel super laid back and ethereal, and the piano that comes in from time to time is manipulated in a unique way that’s pleasing to to the ear. Let the music take you away, and try not to focus too much on what the name actually means…

Nicolas Dominique – Dreamshaper | Album | Ambient/Chillout

Nicolas Dominique’s latest ambient album Dreamshaper has just hit the internet, and it features 13 tracks of spacey ambient goodness. Every track features beautiful soft synth pads that really capture the atmosphere of travelling through space and beautifully hypnotic dreamscapes no doubt crafted meticulously by the princess of the night. Being an ambient album, there’s a distinct lack of percussion save for a few moments here and there, although the geneva convention is broken tracks such as Space Walk and the album’s closer, The Worlds Upon Us, which feature catchy drum sequences while remaining atmospheric and trippy. Standout tracks are the title track, The Woolen Incident and the aforementioned Space Walk and The Worlds Upon Us. Linked above is a YouTube embed, so you can listen to a seamless stream of the whole album!

[P@D] Replacer – Days of Silence | Indie Pop

Ah imagination. Without it in childhood, could a lot of people create in their older years? This wonderful track 25, on P@D: Ignite. It’s really is like a soft dream that reminds you of those soft rock songs of the 60’s and 70’s. Where you drifted in and out of your own imagination. The lyrics done here by Replacer tells of a young Pegsai colt that likes to dream and make his own worlds and characters. Real life mirrors this for all of us. Being that strange kid that went out into the woods and fields and played pretend all by himself for hours. The song tells this story so well. It’s so wonderful. In full circle, this show we love is a world of make believe that had inspired so much creativity. As always, this Qilin asks you to judge for yourself.

[P@D] Paloris & ThatMusicBrony – Waiting – Melodic House

Waiting is song that someone, at some point, was going to make about Tempest’s struggles to move on. A song about her questioning how she is going to move on from her past. Track 3 on P@D Ignite. The melodies featuring Paloris, helps tell that story with some beautiful drops, and a arrangement to tell Tempest’s temperament at the moment of question. ThatMusicBrony’s lyrics and vocals give a sense of uncertainty that is pretty to the ears. Sprinkle in some vocal chops and you got a a long awaited tempest shadow track. Mood! As always, this Qilin asked you to judge for yourself.

Chasing Dawn – One | Chill Pop

I absolutely adore this new track from Chasing Dawn!!! Octavia x Vinyl Scratch has been a staple of this fandom for as long as I can remember, and hearing a song about it brings me so much joy! The instrumental is very chill and airy, classic to the Chasing Dawn sound, but it has a bit of that extra drive that you’d expect from a Vinyl song, and I adore that! The lyrics are a magical journey themselves, telling the story of the beautiful love between two ponies with such different lives. I can’t wait for the next tune!

[P@D] lia;quo – Crystal Corruption II | Electro House

Remember lia;quo? She’s back with a reimagined version of her best known track Crystal Corruption as part of Ponies at Dawn: Ignite and it’s a sure-fire treat. The first drop includes catchy and blisteringly heavy bass sounds and strong string instruments, combining electronic and orchestra like they were meant for each other. Shortly after, the breakdown features some eerie bells before more orchestral strings fade in, building up to another drop with lots of melody to love. A warm welcome to lia;quo, who we hope stays to bring us more amazing music!

[P@D] Feryl DeMarco – Livid | Neurohop / IDM

Jazzy electric piano chords, ambient synths, neuro-inspired basses, and some of the heaviest drums of the century! This is a combination of elements I feel as though I could talk about for hours and hours, for this is Feryl DeMarco’s new track Livid. The absolute best things are short, sweet, and don’t come often, like the enjoyment of a piece of candy. This electronic masterpiece fits that bill better than any song I’ve listened to in the past month or so. The recent album Ponies at Dawn: Ignite features this song, which I feel it absolutely deserves its place. Music like this is where music is headed. Thank you so much, Feryl DeMarco!

[P@D] John Kenza – Take to the Sky (feat. Koa) | Hands Up

There’s never a bad time to listen to some John Kenza and that’s doubly true when Koa’s always top-notch vocals are added to the mix! Fresh off the new hit compilation album, Ponies at Dawn: Ignite, Take to the Sky is an uplifting song celebrating the hippogriff’s freedom from the terror of the Storm King and the liberating sensation that they can once again take to the sky. The verses are very relaxing and chilled with lyrics reflecting on time spent waiting for this day before building into a big melodic bop we all know and love Kenza for.
