I admit that I came very late to the party when TCB was starting to make noise in the fandom. Heck, back in 2015-2016, I didn’t know about the music scene too much. Much less was I in the fandom. The magic that TCB was only starting to make back then when “Tanks for the memories” aired in season five. Notably, you take a step back as you listen to the original, then listen to the VIP released three years later. You hear the difference. In the mixing, composition, and dynamic use of Dashe’s vocal chops from “I’ll Fly, ” you also notice the evolution of TCB’s famous deep bass and harmonic manipulation to the melodies getting better.

When this song hit the fandom back in late 2020, nobody had any idea just how dire we needed this. Yes, you have your fandom anthems about how great and fun the fandom is. But this track that Tw3Lv3, Drummershy, Koa, and MC-Arch did. It spoke a message we needed to hear. The “friendship” part of all of this. The core of it for being a true brony. With how bad 2020 was. The lyrics and energy that rained down from this fandom were a breath of fresh air. This song inspired others again. A song about having that one spark or moment of friendship, support, love, or kindness is all you may need to start turning things around. The message was inspiring and one of the biggest bangers of 2020. How inspiring? SpinScissor – IN MOTION | Future Bass/Midtempo
New information and character designs from MLP G5 have recently been released, and the fandom has been quick to respond, especially with music inspired by the upcoming generation. SpinScissor, a newer artist on the scene, has jumped on the G5 train as well, presenting an upbeat track that features a diverse instrumental with interesting melodies and rhythms. A fun drop section with a futuristic vibe, quirky sound design, and pony vocal chops carrying several different melodies all fit together wonderfully in this playful piece. In the final drop, SpinScissor really lives up to his name with what feels like a quirky conglomeration of funky sounds and melodies that had me imagining random objects spinning around but somehow bringing hope in the midst of glorious chaos. It’s as if we are hearing random thunder and watching strips of almost indiscernible light in the night sky until, suddenly, the thunder and light explode into a glorious display of fireworks and the mystery is revealed.
