TCB – Atychiphobia | Future Bass

TCB’s new EP, Cutie Cuts, is something to behold. The EP is themed around the fears of the CMC, and it’s amazingly well done. This song, Atychiphobia, meaning the fear of defeat, really portrays Scootaloo’s fear of not meeting the aspirations she has. The vocal chops and melodies are extremely well done and the emotion of the song really shines through. The vocal snippet from Parental Glideance really creats a tender moment that makes a perfect transition into the main section of the song.

Be sure to check out Sweetie Belle’s song Atelophobia (the fear of imperfection) and Apple Bloom’s song Monophobia (the fear of being alone). One song should not listened to without the other, just like the CMC always come together.

Fidzu – A Pony’s Journey | Drum & Bass

Fidzu returns with this fantastic track for the 2017 edition of The French Pony Music Awards. Although short in length, A Pony’s Journey puts you in the horseshoes of a pony on a fantastic adventure. The song itself is a journey through ambient textures and fantastic vocal chopping. Great bass design and composition make this track a wonderful listen!

Elias Frost – Somnambula | Orchestral / Folk

Elias Frost releases another beautiful track coming from a challenge that Jyc Row and Elias Frost participate, in which the artists inspired from the most recent episode of Season 7 (about the Egyptian Ponies history) should made a track in 3 hours! Inspired by the Ancient Egyptian Music drums and melodies, Elias did an awesome 2 minutes track that really express the histories of the Equestrian Egypt Mythology legends! The drums that really remind me of some Rock Drumming and the orchestral elements are really well performed, principally the brass section! It’s epic, mythological and emotional! I love the emotions that Elias puts on his compositions and songs! One of the most incredible tracks inspired by the most recent episode of Season 7 – Daring Done!

Psychoacoustic vs. Flyghtning – Opal | Deep House

It’s time for some deep house fun, Opalescence-themed!  This song is simple in composition, but it is a great one to dance to!  The sound design is awesomely unique, especially with the extremely thick bassline and the vibrato-filled lead.  Also, the drum patterns work wonders in complementing the moving lines.  “Opal” definitely reflects Opal’s personality; she just does her own thing!  Great job, Psychoacoustic and Flyghtning!

[OUT OF LIMIT 1.5] Crashie Tunez – Pegasi | Nintendocore / Cybergrind

Crashie Tunez explodes onto the scene with their track from the compilation album OUT OF LIMIT 1.5: Pony Love To Pedrógão Grande hosted by The Experimental Bronies and noise.horse. This tune assaults the senses with raw and powerful instrumentation, distorted and brutal vocals and the strangled cries of an NES. Chiptune and grindcore meet in a fiery fusion that psychotically and mercilessly powers forward like a bullet train, switching between verses and 8-bit synths while a pumping percussion loop rolls on. The track schitzophrenically jumps between melodies and finally crashes to an end with a shocking sound that jolts like an electric current, and the only thing to do after that is to hit repeat. Definitely a unique take on hardcore metal genres, and certainly a rare treat for those bronies who love their music HARD.

Lectro Dub – Salvaging | Classic Rock / Industrial Rock

Lectro Dub returns with an amazing experimental rock track with classic elements mixed with modern elements! The classic rock elements on the guitar riffs and in some synths looking like one of that really awesome and psychedelic Pink Floyd experimental albums! The modern rock elements on the mechanical drumming and some really Nine Inch Nails look like synths, reminding me of Classic Industrial Rock mixed with Funk Rock elements (the guitar riffs mixed with the bass line) and Psychedelia! Really headbanging and nostalgic experiment! Lectro Dub did really an awesome job on this!

Dj Shadow Music – Crystallizing Memories | Tropical House

It’s time for more awesomeness from Dj Shadow Music! This one is a pretty chill tropical house beat. It definitely is a reminder of what the beach is like, especially a beach like Maui. The lead is well-done as a mellow timbre, as it contributes to the chill feel of the song. The drum pattern is pop-like and lighthearted, and the simplicity of the song actually adds to it’s overall feel. There is a claim that sometimes, less is more, and Dj Shadow has supported that claim!

TPressleyJ – The Dawn of Boi | Trap

Sampling a funny and memey video done by UndreamedPanic, Flittzy and GROskAr about a love story between NeverLastStanding and Ponies At (What in tarnation, this is really weird and funnie), TPressleyJ delivers a mechanical and wild Trap track with a lot of classic Trap elements such the Lex Lugers up and the hey, hey hey with big 808’s and really trippy drops! TPressleyJ surprised me with this track, finally I could dance to a meme track!? (I don’t know, TPressleyJ did really a remix of a P@D meme xD). So yes, The Dawn of Boi, good drops, good sampling work, good synths and drum work. Wild, aggressive and mechanical feelings that this track gave me. Just listen to it, first listen to the story and then listen to the remix for better understanding of context and memes. Just listen!
