StrachAttack & Zaktt – Infrared VIP | Midtempo

A big blast from the past; StrachAttack and Zaktt‘s red hot banger Infrared returns in VIP form! This new rendition is slower than the original, but it’s by no means lost its edge. Plenty of powerful midtempo elements are peppered in, like the powerfully heavy bass and trippy synths in the background. It’s amazing what a difference 5 years can make!

Yellow Tune & Exiark – Everfree Forest (feat. Melody Bird) (Yellow Tune Remix) | Hardstyle

Ready for a hard-hitting banger? Everfree Forest was originally a collab between 174UDSI (now Yellow Tune) and Exiark released in 2014. It still holds the title of being among the cream of the crop of the fandom’s hardstyle collection. In 2017 it came out on Ponies At Dawn Memories, but just got remixed by Yellow Tune. In this rework melody plays a lesser role, the emphasis being on sound design and energy instead. It hits overall harder than the original, from which little remains, aside from the structure, the vocal clips of Melody Bird and some sounds. The song begins with rainforest ambient noises, then the stirring super saws come in. The kick is central in hardstyle, and here he just nailed it, making for some serious headbanging material.

MandoPony – Long Way From Equestria (Brilliant Venture & xRILLZEW’s Festival Bootleg) | Melodic Dubstep

Brilliant Venture and xRILLZEW have, as an exclusive bonus track to Brilliant Venture’s album “Legacy: In the Mix”, revoiced an early brony song from the classic duo of MandoPony and AcousticBrony. The two take the original rock piece and infuse it with a base of electronic drums redolent of melodic dubstep. They accompany the melancholic strumming of the original with a medley of faint synth arpeggios and chords. And in a final chorus, they make vocal chops out of the lyrics of the original. The changes in this bootleg create a complex Trip-Hop/Electronica structure that makes this song a unique progressive gem.

Daniel Ingram – Find a Way (Snow Swirl Remix) | Drum & Bass

This fandom continues to inspire people to try creating something. Experimenting with ideas to try to mold their craft into their identity. Please welcome Snow Swirl. The project? Remixing Daniel Ingram’s “Find a Way” from the season 3 finale. Drum&Bass is the genre at hand. There are some nice things going on here with the use of the melodies to heighten Twilight’s emotions of restoring her friends to normal. and the use of the vocal chops of twilight realizing she knew how to fix this to aid with the story telling. It’s a nice start that like any new musician has room to grow and improve. Yes, overall production needs work. But I encourage us to support Snow Swirl as this was a good effort and it shows this remix was nice. Give some brony love to this musician. I hear talent in this track. As always, this Qilin asks you to judge for yourself.

Ice Angel & OZENE – Cold (Tw3Lv3 Remix) | Drum & Bass

As part of a remix competition hosted by Ice Angel, Tw3Lv3 presents his winning remix of the IA and OZENE collab Cold! While the original was a slow trek through the ice cold wastelands, Tw3Lv3’s take is a lot quicker, showcasing less gloomy synth work over a fast drum beat, charging through the snow. For a song titled Cold, this sure feels warm as can be!

Daniel Ingram – The Magic of Friendship Grows (Proto_ssin Remix) | Melodic Dubstep

The remixes for this song will never stop coming out, and I hope it stays that way. Starting off with some soft strings with the original vocals, we’re subject to some vocal chops before building up to a powerful drop that keeps the powerful and uplifting melody while staying heavy. Gotta love the atmosphere created by the reverb on the vocals. Heavy, melodic and emotional? You bet.

BVYANX – WUB (TheHappyPony Remix) | Dubstep

TheHappyPony takes us to the wub zone with this remix of WUB by BVYANX! Their take on the original keeps things heavy with the brutal bass drops and even vocal samples that sound like they were pulled from the show! Brings back those 2012 memories, doesn’t it?

Daniel Ingram – Welcome To The Show (Closer) (Whirly Tail Remix) | Happy Hardcore

Welcome to the show is simply one of the most beloved songs of The Equestria Girls side of MLP. It’s one of those songs that is in many of the fandom opinions. That came out in 2014-2015. The years some of Mr Ingrams best work released . It’s a song that really drives in the message of unity and friendship. Whirly Tail has taken it on himself to put his brand of hyper insanity into this remix. MY CELESTIA! Did he just inject something powerful into this song. It builds and drops over and over again. He took one of the most powerful moments of the movie, and revs up the bass and put his foot on the gas and JUST GOES!!!!. The main melody of the song is soo epic and high energy that you are jumping up and down cheering for mane 6 and sunset to KEEP GOING AND WIN!. The composition with mr ingrams melody just makes you feel so emotional with the song’s message but you want to mosh with your friends until you got nothing left. This track just hits with nitro and just goes so hard and is just so sweet. It’s really no shock that Whirly is talented with his work. He just made it on his very first appearance on the upcoming P@D: Ignite album, collabing with none other than John Kenza!. As always this Qilin asks you to judge for yourself.

Daniel Ingram – Rainbow Roadtrip (JoinedTheHerd Remix) | House

JoinedTheHerd keeps up his trend of remixing MLP songs with this remix of the opening track from Rainbow Roadtrip! I don’t know how he did it, but he successfully managed to extend a 30 second song into a 3 minute house banger without making it sound repetitive. The production on this track is as good as it’s ever been, with all the house elements coming together to give the song a new, bouncy breath of life.
