PinkiePieSwear‘s 2011 classic S&CS has just been revamped by Likonan! His version of the track is a lot faster and has a 90s style trance/eurodance vibe throughout the whole thing. The familiar chopped up vocal melody from the original is also present here as a nice tribute. As is the case with his other remix videos, the video features text from Likonan about the track as well as his own feelings on the original. Beautiful vibes all around!
Remix
Daniel Ingram – A Friend for Life (Snow Swirl Remix) | Drum & Bass
Snow Swirl returns with their first release in nearly a year: a remix of A Friend For Life from Equestria Girls! This DnB rendition creates a warm, tight-knit atmosphere with the beautiful synths and piano tracks along with the original vocals and brilliantly crafted drumlines. Even with the fast pace, the mood is very uplifting and wholesome, and Jerrica Santos’ vocals – much like basically every vocalist on the show – suit the genre very well!
Eniix – Flutter Rage (Pony Killerz Remix) | Electro House
The elusive Pony Killerz returns with a remix of Eniix‘s old tune Flutter Rage! Their version basically takes the original track and modernises it with clean production and dynamics while also using the original sample, that being Fluttershy raging in a different language. The powerful distorted bass really brings out those feelings you hear in her voice!
Daniel Ingram – We’ve Come So Far (Ardhy Remix) | Progressive House
Ok so I get to write about BaconHair now, Sweet!. Ardhy says he doesn’t think he can come up with his own ideas. Well until then. Keep making these remixes that you put your own swing too, so you’re sorta giving your own idea to it. Back to the song, Mr Ingrams song about Sunset Shimmer coming a very long way is frankly lovely. Sooooo let’s make it more uplifting. Ardhy put somw progressive house magic on it, The result is this song becomes powerful uplifting to Sunsets lyrics with this dreamily and epic melody to it. Well done sir. As always, This Qilin asks you to judge for yourself.
Daniel Ingram – The Magic of Friendship Grows (Notion Remix) | Electro Pop
The variations of the final song of the series finale keeps rolling in and doesn’t appear to be slowing down. The Brony Notion comes in with a remix with wonderfully done editing the show strong feelings visually. Showing just how the mane six really means to all of us. The remix itself, has the flavor of electro-pop with just a dash 80’s pop music, if you know what to listen for. His main course is still part of the analysis community. But he can still make a good tune here and there. As always, this Qilin asks you to judge for yourself.
RottenTotten – At The Break of Day (Altius Volantis Remix) | Trance
Altius had the lovely initiative of remixing RottenTotten’s Daybreaker-themed Orchestral beauty, and this new spin could definitely fit well as a “battle preparation” BGM in some RPG game! It could also play in some epic scene in a movie, enacting a battle between Daybreaker and Nightmare Moon!
Daniel Ingram – A Kirin Tale (Likonan’s Club Remix) | Breaks
The Autumn Blaze has just been doubled! Listening to this wonky and delightful spin on A Kirin Tale feels like swimming in her irresistible voice and that just feels so great! Likonan definitely did amazing with these vocal chops, and I would party hard in any club playing this remix for sure!
A State of Sugar – Brownie | Compilation Album | Electronic
It is time again for another incredible ASoS album, and if you haven’t checked it out yet, then get on it! There are so many incredible tracks on this 43 song compilation album that there’s no way to highlight all the greatness in one article! Luckily there will be plenty of individual posts in the coming days on Horse Music Herald!
Brownie is another masterpiece in a collection of A State of Sugar albums which are dedicated to “sweet” themed tracks. Perhaps the most diverse of ASoS albums to date, this one features everything you could want and more!
There’s powerhouse collaborations, bright and uplifting songs, crazy and complex dance tracks, creative and catchy hip-hop, metal-EDM collaborations, and everything in-between! Brownie is high quality and a mega album like this will keep you boppin’ along for hours!
[ASOS] Age of Vinyl & Hay Tea – Calm Of The Sky (Koron Korak Remix) | Drum & Bass
For a song titled Calm Of The Sky, this sure is pretty cathartic and fast-paced. Track 21 from A State of Sugar: Brownie is Koron Korak’s remix of the Age of Vinyl and Hay Tea original! His take is an all-out beautiful piece that keeps the DnB feel of the original while putting an emphasis on the orchestral strings that shine through. Alongside the heavy bass and fast drums are heavenly choirs and bell sounds complete with orchestral string riffs. Just another amazing track in the ASOS and Koron catalogue!
[ASOS] eksoka – Sartoria | Future Bass
Let’s give Rarity some love. Track 10 from A State of Sugar: Brownie is a VIP version of eksoka’s Sartoria! The original was a long house beat, but this new version sees things slow down while keeping a lot of the original elements such as the vocal samples and same general composition. Such a sweet and smooth remake!
